Terrible customer service. Not willing to do any work. Claims representative won't return my calls. I had an accident about 6 months ago. The other driver was ticketed and found to be 100% at fault. The other insurance won't talk to me. Progressive won't talk to me and will not talk to their insurance company because they say it's my job. Now I have to hire a lawyer. DO NOT USE PROGRESSIVE! |

All, The progressive adjuster named Jennifer actually accused me of keying the back bumper of my car when I was rear ended! when I was involved in an accident in Austin Texas!!!!! And I am their insured!!!! I pay for this woman's salary! I could not believe what I was hearing, and I will file a complaint with the TDI (Texas Department of Insurance). I would advise anyone to do the same if they are mis-treated by progressive in their home state. Lastly, in regards to my accident, I was not at fault, and the person who hit me was un-insured, therefore I had to use my uninsured motorist coverage. Lastly, this is my first recorded accident in since I started driving 7 years ago! I will never ever ever purchase progressive insurance as long as I live, and I will tell all my work colleagues and friends/family to stay away from this company at all costs. Extremely displeased with their "customer service". I was in an accident with someone that was insured with Progressive. The party admitted fault to my own insurance company, yet when trying to deal with the local agent, I was told that they couldn't get in contact with their insured, they had not reviewed the damage to her car, etc. My husband called to get a status update after a week of no answer, only to get a call 2 days later telling us that Progressive deemed the accident totally my fault, and they would not be responsible for any of my damages. Their estimate was extremely low, based on the amount of damage I have on my car (we had two other quotes, and the progressive agent did not even make note of most of the damage). The agent who started off nice, ended up becoming hard and rude. I was told if I was unhappy to deal with my own insurance company. I feel very upset and violated by this company. I do not enjoy being lied to.

No coverage when you need it. Multiple horror stories everywhere you turn on how Progressive failed to hold up their end of the contract. I changed my deductible from 2500 to 500 4/29/09. My accident occurred 5/1/09, and it totaled my vehicle. Three months later, I am being told they will apply the 2500 deductible because they think it happened 4/28/09, with no evidence to back it up. I can prove they are wrong, and am suing not only for the deductible difference, but for mental distress due to the disrespectful treatment by Progressive's agents. I suspect my agent did not like women, because he treated me and my witness very rudely, arguing loudly, accusing me of trying to screw the insurance company, not calling for weeks at a time, and telling me he had the right not to keep me informed of the status the claim against the vehicle I own. |

EVERYTHING THIS IS THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY YOU COULD EVER HAVE!! DON'T BUY!!! You think at first that is a great deal, funny commercials, and nice customer service at the time of purchase. Although, the truck was almost stolen, they stole the $2K tv touch screen tv and riped up the dash and wiring. The truck was purchase brand new and was well cared for. It is in their contracts that they can replace things with used parts. USED PARTS??? They want to find a used flat screen and splice (tie old wiring with new wiring) to fix the wires.... exuse me if i have receipts with proof of purchase isn't this covered to buy or replace brand new, as when purchased? Not to mention thier claims dept SUCKS and the have poor response time. DON'T BUY! DON'T BUY! If you do buy READ everything! Similar Products Used: AAA, Murcury Insurance, State Farm- Far better choices! |

none! We have Progressive insurance and have had it for a couple of years. One of our cars got totaled by a valet driver who was driving another vehicle and ran a stop sign. The valets insurance company was taking long to pay our car off so Progressive went ahead and paid our car off and is fighting them to get reimbursed. My accident was not counted against me, my insurance rates did not go up. I have been completely satisfied on how Progressive handled my accident. I could check online for all of the progress, including their reports on the damage to my vehicle and gave me a direct contact to my rep. This is by far the best insurance company I have dealt with. NONE I have had a horrible time with my progressive insurance. I brought my truck in for a repair to my driver side door that happened in the middle of the night. They where friendly and quick. I got my truck back in 3 days! Then I noticed that there was a large scratch on my truck and another scuff on the tailgate. There was also 2 5 inch long burns on the cloth of my driver side door as well as the cap of a screw cover broken off. The window has some strange oil that smears everytime I roll the window down. When I brought my truck back I was treated horribly. I was an inconvenience to them. I was insulted. Told my issues where not a big deal and argued with as to if they happened at the auto body shop. All in all I will be switching my insurance coverage right away and spreading the word on the way they treated me after they took my money. |

totally unfair, and they're representative must be blind, or completely visually impaired. I was on the recieving end of an auto accident from someone who has progressive auto insurance. My car that I had just bought 3 days prior to the accident (which wasn't my fault! the man failed to yield at a stop sign) was totaled, and progressive was going to offer me 1048 dollars because thats what they claimed it was worth before the accident because of previous damage to the car ( which they claimed was rust, and there isn't a spot of rust to be seen on my car, only paint fading cause the car is older, other than that it was immaculately clean inside and out)

customer service, claim's response I had progressive for over a year because i had heard they had good customer service... when I actually got into a car accident, they went cold... after almost a year in claim's they just now required an ime, and have put off giving me the report for over 3 weeks. i'm still tryin to heal, but i'm not allowed to go to the dr now until we have the report from the results of the ime. they apparently have the information now, but they're dragging their heals. my adjuster has been "out of town" several time, or always out of the office. the car accident itself wasn't my fault, and in the end the other person's ins will be the one we fight, but from how progressive has treated me i would never recommend them. if anything i would say run... run as far away from this insurance company as you can, they're not worth the money you save. |
