I tapped the rear end of a guy who went to a chiropractor for over $10k!!!!
He had been hit in the rear before and my awesome adjuster from Coast listened to ME when I said "he wasn't hurt and I didn't damage his car and I barely tapped him". My adjuster believed ME!!!, not the blood sucking attorney and the guy I hit.

My adjuster did an investigation and found out this guy had lots of claims against other people like me (not much money but pay my insurance)and they were all rear end accidents that HE STOPPED FAST SO HE COULD GET HIT! His car was a piece of junk and was already worth nothing when I tapped him.

Ha Ha Ha Ha...he hired an attorney who tried to get money for his pockets and that loser that caused the accident anyway and my adjuster denied the claim for fraud of this scum!!! And my rates won't go up 1 red cent because my adjuster did the job.

I love Coast..they won't pay frauds and they listen to their paying customers who buy their policies. As for you on this board that are not paying customers.....and are trying to collect on Coast customers policies...watch out Crime don't pay with them!

Cheapest rates and won't let people lie on their customers.

Absolutelly none! It has no strenghts at all. The representatives are rude, they hang up on you. Never return phone calls. The agents dont talk to you they just tell you that they just sell it they dont care about you and hang up on you. My agent Ayelin Hamalayan is the rudest person on this planet. I would not recomend this insurance to anyone because this insurance is a scam they never pay your claim

I had an accident on April 24th, 2001. I called and told my agent she hung up on me. So i went to her office and she told me that i was an excluded driver on the polocy but i had all the information in my hand that said that i was in the policy. I had the evidence of insurance that said i was in sured driver she said i was not. i called the company and they told me to fax it to them they said they wont cover it because im not in the policy but i sent them the policy and it said that i was excluded but it plainly said on my contract that i was an ensured driver.

Nothing good at all

I work at Coast National and have been there for years. It is the worst run company I have ever experienced. Virtually every file is in violation of deparment of insurance laws. They treat their employees and their customers like dirt. They are afraid the department of insurance will investigate their underwriting, so you wonder what they are doing illegally. They are having trouble paying their bills, which is why they let people go recently. I seriously question their financial solvency. They have had three CEOs in less than a year and constant changes in management. God help you if you have a claim, who knows if they will be able to pay it. They have very bad reserve setting policies, so they are very likely to not be able to cover the claims.

Never in a million years would I recommend this company. There is nothing good to say about it. The employees are usually good, but they are treated so poorly and the systems are so bad, they can't do what they need to do. And the worst employees are most likely to be promoted.

There is absolutely nothing to recommend it. Quite possibly the worst insurance on the planet.

Coast National Insurance does not abide by its duty to defend its insured. In other words, it acts in bad faith and illegally. When you are injured, they leave you hanging out to dry.

I have met numerous former customers who have complained of being ripped off my Coast National Insurance. I would not recommend it as a carrier to my worst enemy. Overall, Coadt National Insurance may very well be involvewd in bad faith dealing and potential fraud.

i have had Coast National (aka Bristol West) as my
insurance company for the past couple years. i have
had relatively few complaints, but then again i've
never had a claim either so what do i know. i just
know they're basically the cheapest insurance company
out there so if that's what you're looking for you
found the right place. i've gotten a number of discounts
over the past 2 years, basically causing my rate to
go down just about every 6 months so i'm not complaining.

if you are a young driver or maybe you had accidents
this is probably going to be your best rate. i don't
know if their customer service is top notch but
basically i call the agent if i have a question or
concern so i rarely deal with that anyway.

my only gripe is that they have no grace period and
claim that if you don't send your payment in on time
you are SOL. this is a really lame way to do business
and treat your loyal customers. also that even though they
show their address as being about 5 miles from my house
on most correspondence, their premiums now must be
mailed to a Florida address which is a pain in the a**
(pardon my french), and takes longer for them to
get there, thus causing them to tell you your coverage
has lapsed for a day or two. i have considered paying up
front at the agent's office in the future to avoid
this and save hassle of having an extra bill to pay
every month plus their $12 installment fee.

if you're poor like me, and live in CA and don't want
the cops to give you a $1400 ticket when they pull
you over for no insurance, Coast National is the way to go.

since they say include price paid, i'll say my premium
is about $50 a month for liability insurance on a small
car, and i'm a 25 y/o male. my agent says if i get a
new car and need more coverage or a better rate is
offered by another company at some point, i can switch
but for now they've been the best.

Heavy employee turnover, rude people, delays....delays...delays.

Had to file a claim after a theft and recovery. Hardtop roof from Jeep and doors, mirrors, stereo, bezels missing, steering column and ignition system damaged.

Took two weeks to just get a claim number, days to an adjuster to look at the car, 5 days to get the adjusters (low-balled) report. Claim rep was rude, fraud investigator was rude, assumed I stole my own vehicle!, company changed claim reps three times, reps did not return calls promptly - usually 4-24 hours delay. Undercut all part prices....my damaged battery was brand new and they discounted it (and other parts) for 6 years of use (vehicle age)! Stingy misers! Went through several "supplements" to the original low-ball appraisal. Had to get another appraiser. My vehicle was fixed by the shop in 3 weeks, but insurance company delays getting the vehicla in and out of the shop took an additional 6 weeks! Worst service ever!!!

HORRIBLE and RUDE!! Very INEFFICIENT. I am writing this review in July 2001. My car was hit by one of their insured in December 2000. Well, needless to say that it took 4 months for my car to be finally examined by one of their adjustors. My car was in the shop for two weeks and they only paid for 4 days of my rental car. I tried following up but all they do is ignore my calls and messages. I finally reached one of the supervisors, Sylvester White, and he basically gave me the run around and then cut me off and hung up on me. HORRIBLE!!!!
