I am totally satisfied. My home and vehicle are all insured with American Family. My agent is always available, as well as her staff in the office. They know me and call me by my first name. It's great, I reccommend American Family for anyone who is tired of the run around of searching for the best rates and coverage.

no help what so ever from the agent,no calls at all!are homed burned to the ground 10-13-00,the falt of the fire was due to some remodiling we had done.American Family has been the worse company i have ever worked with!it is now 5 months later and they still havent payed and thing!They have refused my claim for loss of home,and have offered me 60.000 for a 100.000 home.watch out for these guys,they will do any thing to not pay you.

i would never use this company and would tell every one reading this to not use them also.

Yes I would recommend this to anyone. When I initially signed up the agent and i were having a hard time setting up a meeting so he came by my house at 8 pm when I would be home to set me up. He has routinely gone out of his way to help and is the friendliest guy. I have my homeowners and auto insurance through them. I also carry life insurance through them. They have been wonderful in every way. In Phoenix, insurance is ridiculously expensive at least in the top five most expensive in the nation. My rates have always been very competitive and I have actually recieved money back because of good rating status. I actually went down 40% by dropping State Farm.

State Farm/1 year and Farm Bureau for 4 years. State Farm is outrageously expensive and the agents I tried several and their claims office are horrible, nasty, and rude. Farm Bureau was great until it came time to pay out a claim on my car which had been stolen. It took nearly 10 months for me to get my car back because of lack of payment to the shop.

Pricing isn't bad, particularly when coupled with renter's or homeowners insurance and a multiple-car discount.

Tough to get information sometimes. 800 number takes forever to answer the phone.

Haven't had a claim yet but I had to call their 800 number once to get some information on emergency roadside service (had a situation on my hands). Took so long to get someone on the phone that... I'm glad it wasn't an emergency. Dumped the emergency roadside service IMMEDIATELY after. Frankly, if you want quick response, don't bother with these guys. On the other hand, if the bottom line is that you will primarily deal with your agent, it's not a bad route.

They provided no assistance in pursuing the uninsured person who almost totalled my car, did not help me when it took Audi over 6 months to fix the car,and they would not total my car unless the damage was over 90% of the cost of the vehicle. It had almost 20k of damage, took 6+ months to fix, and is now worth only $26,000 or less according to the Audi Dealer who fixed it.I have sustained a loss of over $21,000 on this car I bought in May of 2000, which has not been covered by American Family Insurance. When I bought the policy and paid the hefty premiums, I thought it would fully protect me from damage to the car. Was I wrong!!! I am also continuing to pay premiums on a car that is valued by American Family at $46,000 but which I would receive a total of $25,000 or less for from them should it be totalled in the future.

I would never use this company again- I would rate them as extremely poor. Their goal is to avoid paying claims and providing no assistance to someone who is hit by an uninsured motorist. They will only total your car if in an accident, if it loses 90% of its value.

I have had two homeowners claims and a total loss on my car and was driving a new one in 25 days. Claim service is excellent, although you need to go through the claim office and not the agent. Nice to have a local agent right up the street (Drew Clark) for policy changes etc.
