same as any other insurance company i liked aaa. all the reviews suck on here cause people only seek change when they are unhappy. im looking for insurance because i went for a few years without a car, and im getting another and wanted to see whats the best out there. i guess they all suck. maybe ill ask my friends so i know im not getting the opinions of a bunch of bitter people. lol. well after reading so much trash on all the companys i dont know who to go with. so this site is no help really. yay for a waste of time. well i decided to write a review because i dont think there is enough good stuff on here which is a shame after spending all this time reading. whats the point? yeah, car insurance sucks. yeah its expensive. yeah they dont want to just pay you whatever you feel like you should get. but thats how it goes and we all know that already. jeeze. SO.

No customer service. Unprofessional. Do not return calls. Try customers extremely badly. AAA auto insurance customer service is the worst. I was rear-ended and called to file a claim. They assigned an owning adjuster. I have left over 10 voicemails, fax, sent registered letter and finally asked my AAA insurance agent to help. My agent sent an email to the owning adjuster. Still, over 2 weeks and my owning adjuster still has not return any phone calls, no email replies. As far as I am concerned this is completely unacceptable and she has no professional courtesy. Now, I have to deal with the who matter myself without any useful help from AAA insurance. Their rates are a little cheaper but I guess it is cheap for a reason because you get zero services. I will urge every one to stay away from AAA insurance. It's not worth the trouble dealing with the AAA morons. |

I can not emphasize enough to anyone reading this to stay as far away from AAA as possible. I have been paying premiums for 15 years and have never files a claim until this last month when I was rear ended. Long story short...I was made to feel like a criminal for filing a claim for medical re-imbusement when I was the one that was rear-ended. AAA are absolute crooks. |

Their weakness is running a company AAA insurance is by far the worse insurance company ever. I was hit by a drunk driver and the drunk driver took off. I sat in my car needed immediate medical aid and was in no condition to even get a look at the car that hit me. AAA came to my house and told me that they would cover it. After which 3 days later i recieve a letter stating that all claims were found "false" by other driver... and that i will not be covered for anything. My question how is it by "Other driver"? when i dont even know who he is? how do they know who he is? my memory shows and so does the police report that the other driver ran off. |

Very friendly staff.
Weakness:
Too easily pay out on claims. Find any excuse possible to drop "at risk" customers. AAA Mid-Atlantic is great unless you get a large claim against you. Then they do anything possible to get rid of you as a risk. They dropped my coverage because my AAA membership lapsed. Nowhere was this mentioned in my policy and I never received any prior notices about the cancelation. Had they properly investigated the claim they would have found it was fraudulent, but there is little I can do now. |

Cost I've been with AAA Michigan for nearly 20 years now. No serious problems with claims, but am dumping them due to continued rate increases. At one time they were one of the least expensive options, now I can get a quote from nearly any company for up to $400 less per year (on homeowners and 3 autos)..... I can't see that continued loyalty is paying off for me. |

After being made aware that the Roadside Assistance Program posed a serious safety and customer satisfaction problem they responded with form letters. Basically ignoring the problem altogether! GHASTLY EXPERIENCE!!! Roadside assistance ~ Don't even bother to use it if you are a minority or a single female and plan on traveling in any remote areas. AAA cannot and wiil not assure that their service providers have been screened for your safety and will treat you with respect and courtesy! They are there for you (but on their terms) - Know them.
Weakness:
They are expensive, and see you as a policy number - they do not value loyalty (we were cancelled after 20 years with them) Our family has been with AAA since 1983 - 20 years with good payment and driving records. Last month they suddenly cancelled our policy. I forgot to pay the bill (due to a stressful situation), got a notice, called to make arrangements, was told to pay a certain amount to avoid cancellation, sent in the amount, and was cancelled anyway. When I called to find out why I had not received a bill for this month, they told me our policy was cancelled, and said I had been given the wrong information. My agent tried to fix it, but couldn't modify the system on the computer, telling me they would have to do it as a new policy AND that we would have to pay a huge down payment of 4000.00. He said they have new guidelines and the new president has removed the companies ability to reinstate policies due to situations like this. They have lost thousands of customers and now they have lost us, after 20 faithful years. Similar Products Used: Switched to Mercury and saved 300 per month for our family. |

None. AAA is the best insurance company I've ever delt with. And reading some of these otehr messages i see that some people might have had a bad experience from the past but come on be realistic. Don't be a little baby. Work with the company that you chose and don't be pissed off all the time. People need to relax. I called my agent and he set me up with a claims adjuster right away. I knew he was busy that day and treated him like a real person and he managed to help me out the best he can. And he did. Customer service is horrible. I only keep this insurance company because their rates are low, however customer service does not exist here! I was cancelled because they lost a form, but treated me like it was my fault. They only argued with me when I tried to fix the problem. Phone rep's promise to take care of propblems/policy changes but do not follow through. In-office rep's are rude and uninformed. |
