Strength:

picture two 4th generation camaros on the highway (both white) both drivers are good drivers and race everywhere they go. One of the cars is a 98 SS (manual 5.7LS1)with SLP loudmouth exhaust, the other a 96 RS (manual 3.8V6). Who whoud you think won? Wrong my V6 out ran him about 5 car-lenghts in something like a mile. The acceleration is about 10 mph a second even over 100mph. 0-60 in the 4.7 range give or take a tenth. The powerdyne is not all that's modified on my RS but that is the major modification (catback, AIT chip, and charger's air induction modified to fit under the car and suck like RAM air. Also now i have the 9psi pully and i would guess that increased the hp about 25. THANK YOU RK SPORTS!!

Weakness:

took seven weeks to get the unit to Arkansas. Bad instructions and parts for install. I am not unbeaten but thats kind of expected when you race a WS6 with $8,000 of NA modifications, but hey it can beat a stock 'vette.

The product was rediculious to install from what I was told by the workers. Almost none of the bolts fit and everything had to be modified so the install was longer at (12 hours). The supercharger is by no means quiet on a V6 (probably because of a hard GReddy type R blow off valve). I like the sound of the whine though it sounds mean and is, even on a V6 with only the 6 psi unit. The horsepower gains are unbelievable. My friend's IROC 350 is just a snake for me now. I can't say enough about the performance gains, especialls a downshift to second at 50mph when the tires can hook up. WOW

Strength:

Good power gains, good price, fairly easy to install, if you don't follow the instructions to a T.

Weakness:

Bad instructions, obviously who ever wrote them didn't actually install one! not so good fitment, modification is a must and anoying.

For the most part, I like the blower. But the mounting plate and my motor didn't really agree. The fittment leaves a little to be desired, but the installation wasn't bad, compared to other blowers I have helped install. Good power gains, especially up top. I really felt a difference! The car just pulls and pulls all through the rpm range. Instructions really suck, you might as well just wing it and take your chances, some of the bolts just didn't line up for some reason, as if it were for a different car, also, I had to chop the intake tube almost an inch to fit!

quite. cooler. i have owned it for six years now, dragged it, street it,no problems, just maintenance. well priced. good resale, cause every one wants it out of my car, and into theirs.

Weakness:

your knowledge of how to use it. the company wont sell you internal parts for home rebuilding, its a precise machine and you are not equipped to properly rebuild it. so if youre not going to send it in for maintenance, dont buy it. it does not take the optional 11psi pulley that good, youll break the belt and blame it on the company's quality.

best charger for the buck.take it from some one in the business, when properly tuned, your car will dig the asphat like farm equipment. on 9 psi and the right tuning(very important)i have dropped nearly 2 seconds, on stock engine. please if you do not know how to work it, do not write nonsense in the reports, at least be honest with yourselves.proper tuning very important.

Strength:

Affordable price, easy to install and reasonable power gain (9psi). This blower is strctly for playing around on the streets.

Weakness:

Supercharger pulley is only 6 ribs, not sure if belt is slipping.

Pretty easy install. Only problems was missing bolts in kit and getting belt around pulley. The Instruction manual could use more detail. Picked up about a second on the track (13.2 1/4 mile @104mph, using Nitto Drag radials on 17" wheels no power shifting). My motor is still Stock and the FMU really makes the car run rich under boost (7-8psi).

Silent power. I have run against my buddy with a procharger equipped mustang and won.

Weakness:

So far none, except how long it took to get the product.

The powerdyne supercharger took a couple weeks to arrive and when it did they had sent the wrong kit. Eventually the 6 psi kit arrived and was installed. After some initial tuning problems the car ran well.(My estimate is in the late 12's down from 14+). I have had this powerdyne now for almost 2 years and have raced a few dozen times since then and am still unbeaten. The car is completely streetable. I drive it everyday and it can idle for hours in traffic with no problems.

Doesn't affect gas milage when boost is not required.....cheap to purchase.

Weakness:

CUSTOMER SERVICE.....you can tell they didn't write the book on successful customer service techniques. Quality control....can't believe a repaired unit leaves the repair line and it still has a problem. Try to buy bearings.......If your looking for a short term, cheap unit..this is it. If it's long term you want...go to something else....I will.

For the most part this unit has worked well for 45,000 miles. Typical that the bearings would go about that time. Sent the unit in for repair under warranty and 30 days later I get the unit back.....with one of the output bearings making noise. So much for quality control. Install instructions leave abit to be desired. When I called them to "help out" with recommendations to add...their response was nothing but arrogance. Later, when asked about purchasing bearings and belts for the future, their response..."send it to us, we'll repair it...we don't sell internal parts"
