15" HCCA (2)
Strength:
Good for winning SPL competitions, out-pounding your friends, waking up the neighborhood, stopping pacemakers, causing minor concussions, and propelling your car in the event of running out of gas.
Weakness:
Not recomended for people with asthma-you will die. These are the loudest pair of 15s in the U.S. of A. If you are into serious car audio and you don't have an HCCA in your car, you need to wake up. These sub slap you in the head with bass that won't allow you to focus in on your spedometer. Get a low frequency rollin' and your head instantly compresses like you are about 82 feet under water. The beat lets up and you have to instinctively try to pop your ears. (Give it up, turn it off, you are near death and you need a few days to recover) Similar Products Used: I've had everything. Nothing touches the HCCA with a 82 foot pole. |

Strength:
some of the best qulities is its emensive size. this speaker moves so much air it works better then a fan would.
Weakness:
you need some room and it drops to such a low ohm. I think that this speaker is the best ever. My friend has 2 Audiobahn 12's and his dont even come close to the spl my 1 12 can produce. I have never been in a comp. yet but im gunna be in one this weekend. the only thing bad is i have a fosgate bd 1000.1 and this is not capable of even powering my speaker at the levels that it should be with out frying this amp. If you are willing to get a grate sub and can find it cheep over the internet then if you dont get this sub then your just plain stupid. Similar Products Used: jl Audio , kenwood,...ect. |

Strength:
its the best of two worlds. it looks great and hits harder than it looks.
Weakness:
tightening screws back up in your car and replacing windshields My friend bought 2 of the 12" and an orion concept amp (97.1) and custumized it into a 1994 eclipse gsx and hit 144.6 db . His car ran 12.6 quarter mile and than he had to make a decission of speed over audio. so i bought both subs off of him for $300. when i first owned the subs i used an alpine 256 pushing about 300 watts to each sub and i thought that was crazy!!! until i purchased two hifonics zeus 400 amps( ran at 1 ohms each)pushing about 1000 watts to each sub, a yellow top battery, a battery isolator and now i've went a little too crazy. about two months ago my friend let me borrow his db meter and at first i thought the thing was broken when it was hittin 150.3 with the gains on the amp at a 1/2. but now its all over because someone broke into my truck and stole my box amps and isolator. so i'm moving on to bigger and better things. in the next month i'm purchacing two 15" hcca(gundersonaudio.com)($330) and two hifonics zeus 400(gundersonaudio.com)(under $200) and i will have a follow up here to tell you how things go. that is a $1000($3000 retail) system that will win some trophies Similar Products Used: its definitely 2 times better than the next highest speaker ever made. |

Strength:
Sound over area is incredable. I have never seen a sub that can move as much controlled air as this, it is really something that you would need to show someone to atchually believe it!
Weakness:
Needs a large amp! I was looking to get 2 of these, I am used to 2 orion XTR 15's and wanted something a little smaller for my next car, but something that was comparable with what I was used to. Similar Products Used: It blows away every other 12 inch sub and most 15's I have ever seen! |
