Strength:
Its a Clean look and sounds exelent and nice deep bass.
Weakness:
None really, but they could change the color of them or something....just an Idea. All I have to say is .............wow cauase its like the best I have ever heard with 10's. I have seen like JL 10's but I think the 6000 series do blow it out of the water. I am getting so much bass with so little speakers. I never really like MTX but I thought I would try these and they are nice for the price. Similar Products Used: Rockford fosgate 12's - The 6000 still pound a lot harder. |

Nice power handling Great Looking "bulletproof look" Newer model looks like it's chromed out Can take a severe beating without giving up
Weakness:
umm...saying "huh can you repeat that" cause of my loud ass sound system in my car draining my hearing What up everyone This is my 3rd post for these subs, I still got 2 of them hooked up to a PPI 2360 pushing 180 watts rms to each for over a year now and they still sound the same as when they first were bought. So take my word for it that they can definitiely hold up, Once again I say anyone who wants some great subs for cheap the 6000 series is the way to go. |

amazing bass, well priced, great looks, apparently purposly underrated, so they perform better than the numbers show.
Weakness:
None. i challenge you to find a reasonable weakness in these subs. in terms of value and bass, amazing. I was originally going to get alpine type r's, but i decided to shop around. so one day i was in futureshop, and i listened to these subs on a thunder4250 mtx amp. i thought they sounded pretty sweet, and they were like half the price of the alpines pretty much, so i figured, hey four of these could probably match if not take two alpines. so i bought two with the intent of buying two later. lemmie just say, that i no longer think that i'll need four, cause two 12" are totally amazing. i have heard this stacked up against rockfords which were 2x as much, as well as sonys, and a cerwin-vega getting like a thousand watts peak, and i still would choose these subs over them all. Similar Products Used: Rockford he2, cerwin-vega VEGA-154 15" sony xplod 12s . i'd take the mtx thunder6000 12s over any of them. |

Doesn't seem to hit lows very well, Other than that there's not much to dislike though! MTX 6000 12" dual 4 ohms Very nice little sub. I had bought an 8 ohm without realizing it, brought it back and got a DVC for 10$ more than a standard 4 ohm. No contest, the DVC rocks so much more (duh! 8ohm vs 2ohm). Since I run only one 12 with a little RF 200 Mono, I'm very impressed with the performance I'm getting with this little $$$. Loud, nice looking, pretty crisp (depends on music). Loud enough for people who want to feel the bass but not blow the windows, although it probably could... |

Great looks, pretty good sound, not to much $$$$. Great Deals if you get the same stuff at that store.
Weakness:
I''m a vintage rap fan, and for example, on look into my eyes by bone thugs during the constant base it doesn''t sound the best. These are great subs. They''re pretty good for the money compared to rockford and kicker. They hit pretty hard. I went to circuit city and got 2 for 1. They''ll only offer you that deal if you get your amp there. I''ve only got one hooked up right now. I''m waitin to hook the other one up when i got enough money to buy another amp and box. I''m just runnin the one sub at 280 watts. blow easy, low power handling I have four ten inch thunder 6000''s, and they hit pretty good. but i have had 2 of them blow in the last couple of weeks. I was running about 775 watts to them at a 2 ohm load with a mtx 500d and they just thumped but i had my amp stolen and i got a new rockford fosgate bd500.1 and that gave them even more bass, i ran them in a ported box which just hammered, but took up to much space, so i built a new sealed box and they seemed to hit even louder. I have went through about 8 of them, and have only now realized that they are not all that good they may look good but they cannot take too much power and heat up to quick Similar Products Used: piece of sh*$ tens which only lasted about 1 hour |

Look great. Durable, sturdy cone (God I hate paper cones...thank goodness these don''t have them). LOUD bass. Great power handling. Excellent value.
Weakness:
Magnet seems a bit small...but that doesn''t seem to affect their performance. When I turn my system up, it starts to sound nasty.....CAUSE ITS RATTLING THE BEJESUS OUT OF EVERYTHING IN MY CAR WITH ITS ASTOUNDING BASS!!! well, i finally got the things installed after having them in my room for two year. when i first got them in...i noticed a little more bass.....but no where near what would be expected from two 12 inch subwoofers powered by a rf power 800a2 amp (950 watts max). so i was pretty disappointed at first. then i realized the subs weren''''t moving at all......and found out that the fuse at my battery was blown. so...i replaced that...and oh my god!!!! these subs with this amp rocked my freakin world. why the initial increase in base if my subs weren''''t working at all? well, i attribute that to fact that the sub box i put in sits so close to the 6x9s in my rear dash that it made them sound better and gave them a bit more bass. anyway....the day after i put them in, i decided to fiddle with my amp. i messed with the gain a bit....and got it adjusted right......and now the subs hit at lest 3 or 4 times harder. i can''''t even believe it. best part is....they are only 4 ohm subs....and my amp puts out max power at 2 ohms per channel.......................so my system is only living up to half is potential (ie, the subs are running at about 225 watts a piece at opposed to 475 watts a piece Similar Products Used: 12'' Polk DX subs. I was pretty impressed with these for what they were....but I think the 6000s beat them. MTX 4000s...THE MOST AWFUL PIECES OF CRIZZAP I''VE EVER SEEN OR HEARD (with paper cones no |
