Strength:

This sub is strong at even low wattages. I'm only running a lowsy 200 watt Optimus Amp to these things. That's only 100 watts to each... really about 60-70, yet they still hit extremely well.

Weakness:

This product is not for those who like to "bump" so hard that it goes into everyone else's car. Then again... who wants to do that anyway?

I must say that I am overall pleased. It takes good construction to be stable at lower wattages, especially for a subwoofer. Good job production team.

Strength:

price! 45 dollars, or "buy 1 get 2" for 89 dollars. Sound...adds the dynamic sound everyone wants.

Weakness:

none.

I bought these as soon as i saw the sale at Circuit City. 2 subs for under 100, and MTX's name on them. I bought the 10" model and currently have one in my trunk of my Crown Victoria. I'm running about 150 watts (bridged RMS) through it, and this thing HITS! I've got my amp power turned down to halfway too. I get the bass i like to hear with ANY music, and not TOO much of it. Sorry guys, hearing YOUR bass from a mile away ain't cool.

Overall, this is one great sub, for the price. It's entry level...but when it's playing, you can't tell a bit.

Model Reviewed: 2 10" MTX 4000 series subs

Strength:

I am running 2 10" MTX 4000 series with a Mobile Authority 620PX amp running 150-300 watts consistantly in a 2000 2 door coupe cavalier, and these sus make you feel like you have a top of the line system in compact cars. It has pretty good low frequency response to the low bass notes and then can really get explode on a high note.

Weakness:

When having a solid amount of wattage running to them, it seems to get distorted after a while, but really what happens when you turn it up, you are hitting EVERY bass note.

$80 total for the 2 subs and price was well worth it, I mean I am a teenager who lacks money, but for the money I put into these subs, i definatly recommend them to anyone on a short budget.

very low price,it sounds good in vurtually any enclosure.I am putting 100 watts on it and it hits really hard.Very good low frequency response.

Weakness:

none yet

I paid $100 for the thunder 15in and it is worth it, it hits harder than most 15in subs. I would deffinitly recommend it for money saving systems but still want hard hitting bass.

Strength:

Good Bass For the buck Take the time to break them in properly and they will treat you well. get a ported box for it

Weakness:

U get what you pay for. For the price u can't beat it. Don't expect anyone to hear you coming but for deacent bass they are worth it.

I got a deal on them buy 1 get 1 1/2 off so i got two for $82 Canadian with
tax. They are actually a very good deal for the money. I have 1 in a box that was cut in half with cardboard stappled to it with a paper towl roll for a port and some poly fill around it to keep air inside no lie.

Sadly all of that is true but i plan on building a box real soon and it dosen't sound that bad (to prove it i will take a picture of it and post it hear soon)

Strength:

they loocked cool when they were smoking

Weakness:

cant handle power, especially in sealed boxes

they suck! i got it installed and before i got home (5 minutes) it was blown. i use a MTX 4202 280 watt amp and it killed the sub. it didnt even sound good when it played either. after it blew i went back and got the 6000 instead. the 6000s straight bump. its in a small Q logic sealed box and it hits hard. it didnt sound too good for like a week but i guess you need to break them in or something cuz it hits now. dont buy the 4000s, the 6000s are only like 40 bucks more, so save up for those.
