Strength:

I like the quality of the low bass it puts out, if you have a smaller car and you are looking for hard pounding bass these are the speakers to get, i bought mine with a 2 year warranty ($150) but without one there about $90

Weakness:

well i drive an older car and it is a little hard to hear the bass it puts out, i have had to add 2 extra 10"s, and i currently having a box mad to give out some kick a*s bass.. your catch me and my friends at the some of the speaker compettions in nashville and some other local areas.. we'll be the ones winning..

if your looking for a cheap pair of speakers that put out pretty strong bass i would recommend these...

Similar Products Used:

i've used crunch, kenwood, jbl, and pioneer and as far as bass quality it hits harder then all of those except for crunch and jbl they all hit about the same.

Model Reviewed: 2000 MTX Thunder 4000 10's

Strength:

They are good subs for the price. They don't hit as low as some others do, but that's cool. They are very flexible for enclosures.

Weakness:

Their SPL could be higher(88). Because of this they need to be given more power.

If you are looking for good bass for a nice price, these are a great buy. However, if you're like me and like to turn some heads, spend more elsewhere. I am pushing them with a MTX roadthunder 2200. Circuit City sucks ass. They decieved my brother to buy that amp. It only pushes about 70 watts to each sub. We paid nearly 200 bucks. For that price I coulda gotten much more power. I did get a great deal on the subs though. I bought one and got one free.

Similar Products Used:

I also have 2 Kenwood medium enclosure 10's and they sound similar. The MTX subs don't have as much excursion but still hit good.

Strength:

I only have one, but it's adequate. Not extremely loud but if you don't want to damage your hearing that much, these put out quality bass. Powered by a profile 200sx(180w RMS).

Weakness:

rubber surround, maybe not good for colder climates when its below freezing a lot.

This sub is quality and is perfect for someone not looking to spend big bucks but still wanting to add some good clean bass to their system. Otherwise you might want to go with something more expensive.

Strength:

I bought these subs after reviewing and trying a lot of other ones. These kick @ss! I got both of them for $100 because the dealer was overstocked with them. Have them in a bandpass box, and they sound so good with only 400 Watts going to them wired in series, so it is at a 2ohm load. Amp runs cool all the time!

Weakness:

None at all.

BUY THIS SUB! CHEAPER THAN THE REST, AND SOUND BETTER! HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG?! Sure you can spend more and brag about what speakers you have, but spend less, buy a better head unit, and let the bass speak for itself!

good bass at low volumes. i bought 2 12's and they sound aight but not as low as i expected. DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE INSURANCE AT CIRCUIT CITY. ITS SUPPOSED TO COVER YOUR SUBS FOR 2 YEARS AND IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG WITH IT THEY WILL REPLACE IT FOR FREE. ANYWAYS IF MY SUBS BLOW CAN I TAKE IT TO CIRCUIT CITY AND GET THE 6000 SERIES INSTEAD? SOMEONE PLEASE EMAIL ME IF THAT IS POSSIBLE AT UyemaJ@cs.com thanx

Weakness:

distorted at mid and high bass or its my little 550 watt DILLENGER amp that powers the 2 12's

Strength:

sounds good and can feel bass

Weakness:

don't hit great but thats the amp i have

For only $89.00 these subs are worth it. I recommend them to anyone who just wants to hear and feel a little bass. If you want it to be real loud invest in something a little more expensive. But for me these are great.

Strength:

Awesome subs! Very cheap and pound hard!! They have nice clear bass and they sound good with all types of music (unlike the peice of crap jensens i blew). I have two 10's powered by a jbl loud and clear 100watt amp. I have them both bridged so im not getting the full 100watt rms but somewhere around there. All i can say is that they have been hitting great in my 1ft^3 truck box. Hey! I also set of a car alarm last night..woohoo.

Weakness:

I wish they had rubber surround. I poked a hole in the foam with a screw driver installing them, but oh well, GOOP did its job fine.

Just all around good sub. Doesnt need much airspace and they have a good low end to them. People always talk crap about buying from circuit city, bestbuy, sears, ect... but they are fine. You get what you pay for. If you get 100$ subs then most subs that cost 100$ arent gonna be any better or worse.

Similar Products Used:

None so far. These are much much much better then the first jensen XL series i had. They were 12's and these 10's are louder.
