I have only one 10" solo-baric and it pounds like crazy. The sub-bass from these speakers are incredible but they do lack mid-bass. I can't complain too much though because they are only designed for ultra-low bass and to just rip you to shreds. I have an MTX Blue Thunder Amp, bridged into mono putting out around 430-460w rms. I love the amp by the way! I've also heard a 12" solo-baric with only 200w and it hits nice. The more power you feed it along with a good quality amp will deliver tremedous low-bass. Even my little 10" turns my stomach a little! Overpower these monsters and set your amp to a maximum of 100hz or lower and get ready to hurt. My only complaint is, they need to be a bit cheaper for being a primarily sub-bass speaker.

I have 1 15" Solo-Baric and it's LOUD. I have a kicker amp that is 1200 Watts and 4 channels. 2 of the channels are for the one 15. I hope to get another 15 but it is a stress on my bank account. I would recommend this sub. But the only problem is I keep blowing it. I am on my third sub!!! I thought it was my factory deck so I replaced it with a panasonic dayglow.

Well I have 2 15" solobarics powerd by two mtx 2400x and that at a 2ohm mode with 14.4volts thats exactly the maximum wattage thats suppose to be
put in these subs. Oh My GOD it hits loud and oh so hard its like its sending
base form the depths of hell out for you. I just love it, ALOT!!!

In my opinion, the Kicker Solo-Baric subs are great for both Sound Q and SPL.Solo's are power hungrey, but preform well even in thier lower power ratings. For their size and mass, they can keep up with rock and even speed metal bass lines. They give a nice tight kick drum and skull crushing low bass. Sound Q is were they shine, but still a basshead will love them. They were made for sealed boxes only, hint the need for power. With all the subs I have owned......the Solo-Baric's leave the rest behind.

Strength:

These subs bump. And I mean BUMP! They can handle lots of power too, which means even more bumpage (LOL). They look cool too. But honestly, I think Kronik Audio subs look the best.

Weakness:

Don't sound crisp and clear and loud without max power to the subs. Costly if bought new.

I bought these two 12" solo-baric with enclosure for $200 at a salvage yard. Some jack-@$$ wrecked his car and totalled it and just left his system in there. So the owner of the salvage yard sold them for $200 cash. Talk about a good deal eh? Now about the subs, these subs are terrific in my car. The bass is clear and crisp. Currently I have a Rockford Fosgate 800.2 amp powering them with a 24v audiobahn lightning cap helping it out. At the time I thought the price of the amp was exspensive ($600) but now I know I would do it again, this amp works great. Powering my mids and highs is a $550 Sony Xplod head-unit with sub controls. It works very nice and the mechanical fold-down face is the $hit.

Similar Products Used:

Single 10" Eclipse w/ Boss 400Watt amp with angled enclosure. Haha, Solo-baric blows this out of the water.
