The 12wo have a phenomenal throw in excursion abilities. Of course using a proper amp helps. The only woofer that has a professional look that can beat the competion without graphics, crazy colors, or funny looking shapes (no offense to L7's.) What do I mean by competion? Find a subwoofer you can find in your local town for similar price, look how much it cost you to add a custom box, and amp, ahh hell you do the math.

This speaker does bottom out when you turn up the sensitivity level of your amp, then overpower it, and distort it. Just like any speaker to much power mean bye bye sub!

Everyone has their own opinion about subs I like PPI, kicker better, and JL Audio best!

The bazooka tube was a good high school toy to have back in 94' good for detail and thats it. What you would find in a Toyota Tacoma today.

My roomates 95 TA that was a fun job to do right out of college we had no money but a sub and $800.00 dollar amp [extant 702a] back in 99'(his dad is rich!) we put this thing together. With a custom box this solobaric hits was slow and a little late. But who gives a damn when I'm listening to dance music from the club or listening to DMX.

I owned a 97' Nissan pathfinder and I don't have that much more space then a TA. I'm using a kenwood 629s(max power 350 watts.) amp bridge with only 150 watts going into a single 12WO with a custom box. I get the benefits of
hard pounds!!!!!!! & the best of Tightness. I'll tell you what, I think the 10W3 got to be the best sound quality and excursion is impressive. But still being young I wanted something that would give me a great massage.

Everything about them! Excellent Low pitch, extreamly durable, GREAT value!

If your looking for some Kickin' subs at a very reasonable price, these are DEFINATLY for you! These subs hit as low as you could possibly imagine, and from what I have heard, have not even came close to distorting at 200 watts each! I'm feeding them the Crossfire TEK 100.2 and at that low of power, they still hit enourmousely hard! Paid 125 for 2 of them and had them put in a custom made box, and it is just something else! Definatly the highlight of my car audio system!

I love the subs, I dont have much to compare to but personally i think there a great way to start off. There louder then a bunch of the Shi* out there. They Hit nice and clean and they go pretty low from what ive had them too. Even though Shi**y amp. Im hitting better then a lot of pep that have spent tons more money then me. Overall there great subs to have.

-the polypropelene cone ahs a nice sound at low volumes

-the sub dosen't do any 1 thing good
-sq is weak

-can't handle the recomended power

I bought these subs because I was on a bit of a budget and I figured at the time that these were a good sub. I was wrong, these subs are weak and very poorly built. The recomended power handling is 125 watts, that bull$hitI'm running these off of a rockford 250a2 at 2 ohms so the amp is putting out 125 watts rms and I've had these things warrantied so many times it isn't even cool anymore. The first time the dust cap came undone, the econd sub that blew the vioce coil got too hot andfell apart, I blew the pair listening toLinkin park and both of the surrounds decided to come off of the rest of the cone. I don't abuse my subs and they are in a trunk so the weather dosen't wear them away and they still fall apart. JL is good for their warranties but their quality sucks. I had mine in a recomended 1.5 cubic foot sealed box and the sound quality was brutal and the low end wasn't very impressive. All in all I feel that JL has some work to do on these subs because they are one of the worst subs I've ever heard of. I recently bought 2 boston acoustic 12" competitors and they are 20times the sub compared to the JL's, and the bostons will out do the JL's in every aspect even though they cost more they are well worth the extra money. The review that states he hit 146db with 3 of these with a cheap kenwood 600 watt amp is a lie, to hit that high of a db with these subs you'd problably need 4 of them off of a real amp putting out well over 600 watts rms.
