Cheap: 130 per cone

I put a 12W0 in a 1.5cuftsealed box, and it hits hard. I put it in the trunk of my 1966 Mustang Fastback. My only complaint is that my fastback vents rattle (dynamat wont work on it either). Don''t waste money on Kenwood or Poineer, and epecially Jensen speakers. JL''s will make even a cheap amp sound good. I bought a 300rms brideged U.S. Acoustics amp from Crutchfield for $120 (#usa2080). JLs are the best way to get sound cheap. If you are only running 400rms, and only one speaker, its the only way to go. Try porting it, it way get even deeper at 2 or 2.25 cuft.

I have had JL''s before but only the W3 series. I am in school now and on a budget so I went for the W0. WOW!!! I have 3 twelves in sealed box at 1.2ft3 and they are sooo loud. And I am giving them each 400 watts a piece from a PPI 2600.2 which is bridged to 4 ohm off of 3 12 ohm subs and puttin out 1200 watts MAX. They take the power and just play louder and louder!!!! They hit so low and clean its unbelievable....I gurantee I have the best stereo in town (also due to Polk component sets powered by PPI). I have never had a distorted or bottomed out note and they just are the cleanest subs for the price. My W3''s didnt hit as hard because the same amp wasnt enought to push 3 12w3''s to the max like it can on W0. So for the money go for it you will never regret it, i have more than tripled what JL says they can take and they havent missed a beat. BUY THEM!!

I was wanting a twelve inch sub, and my friend was parting with his Jl for 100 with an amp. I have had A 10w3 and was impressed with it. But I think the 12w0 is almost better for my set up. I have my amp at full gain and Thats the full 300 watts Rms. This speaker is almost sa tight soundindg as my ten when it is in an enclousre that is the right size for the amp and the sound desired. when I got it il was in a large box(2.2 cubic feet, but now I am running a 1.33 that is braced and lined with deadening material and then filled with poly fill. This helped control the ecscursion problems I had at first. This speaker is four years old and still kicking. thats what I call I well made product. This woffer ahndels more power cleanly that my 10w3 but it cost half the price when new.

i am very impressed with these subs in the back of my 2000 impalla. they hit pretty hard and clean.

I first had doubts about this sub. For such a cheap price and such low specs I didnt think it was worth buying. I bought these because they were recommended by a friend. I bought 2 12''s. First time I pushed these subs, my ears started to ring. These subs are absolutly amazing. I havn;t ever heard 250 rms sound sooo good. I have them in a sealed box, just perfect for these subs, and powered by a Alpine v12 amp.

I had the tri-sub powerwedge and it hit kinda hard. I hit only about 142 and i was kind of dissapointed because everybody tells me jl is the best, but they''''re not. I bought 1 audiobahn 1200x for $120 and it did about the same as 3 wo''''s. plus i had the jl''''s for a month and i blew the cone on one. THe dealer near me said it would take 1 month to a year to get it back so i got rid of them. plus, too expensive no more jl for me.

The subs are good for beginers cause they r cheap, loud, and handle low power great (so ya don''t have ta spend tuns of $ on an amp).

foam surround looks weak!

I got the subs in a JL Powerwedge box, great box. I got an Excelon KAC-X201T (300 watts rms @ 14 volts) runnin them.

Look, these speakers suck if you want good bass. If you just want it at a moderate sound level then they are fine. If you want bass, buy the W3''s or W6''s. Now these speakers, although cost more, will make you happy in the long-run. I have four W6''s any they are great! But the W3''s are the newest design. If you check them out you will see they are made better... It''s all in the magnet. I hate the W0''s because they bottom-out (distort, or hit the back of the magnet) in any configuration, with all different kinds of amps. Trust me, I see you DORKS that drive around and blare your stereos that sound like shlt!..lol and trust me chicks don''t like the sound of speakers distorting! And i''ll beat the shlt out of you if I hear it!...lol So Spend the extra couple bucks and make me proud.

I have two 12w0''s in my single cab chevy truck, and these things slam! im running them on a Kicker ZR240 amp turned up about half way, and it sounds incredible,for $200 for both 12''s, i dont think there is a better subwoofer out there.

i had 3 12 w0''s put in my car a few days ago and am running my entire system off a jl audio 300/4 amp and these speakers still slam hard! i was amazed! i cant turn them all the way up yet because if i do my stock coaxial speakers pop like hell. these are great sounding, loud woofers even with little power. my trunk rattles and i need dynamat really bad. the sound coming in the car compared to the sound coming from the car is crazy. if i am inside the car with the speakers at less than half volume then i wont drive like that for long but at the same volume outside of the car they are not that loud. (wont annoy neighbors that much and wont let thieves know what you really have):) but open the trunk and youll notice a big difference. overall the best speaker for the price. sounds great, is loud and looks nice imo:) all i can say is get dynamat, upgrade all your speakers if you are running one amp to everything or just want to sound better, and get a good powerful amp but not way too powerful. i know i cant wait for my jl audio 500/1 amp to come in. if you are on a somewhat limited budget get the 12 w0''s. JL AUDIO RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!! p.s. get a skip proof head unit youll need it:)
