Bandpass box. Runs Very Efficient
Weakness:
Bulkyness of the Box I bought A single JL 10W0-4 three years ago and it hasn''t let me down yet. I bought it in a bandpass box and it pounds Any amp that you hook it up too makes it pound I have had 80watts bridged all the way up to 300Bridged and the more power just made it sound better sounds better than any 10 and a lot of 12 out there Similar Products Used: 10'''' Pioneer IMPP |

None I dunno what the fuack you guys are talking about. My dads JL 0 10" subs knock louder and lower then any 12''s i have ever heard. And they are powered by a 200 watt amp. My friends are completley impressed with the quality and sound that these 2 10" subs put out. The only subs i think are better are Vega Vega''s or Vega Strokers. But im definatley gonna end up with some JL''s when i get my car. If you wanna bytch about sound and whos system is better e-mail me and i''ll argue JL over almost anything. RF sucks ass btw i went to a store and saw warenteed blown RF subs behind the counter, only about 100 of them and like JBLs... Hmmm RF better then JL? i think not peace Similar Products Used: None, ive heard Vegas.. Very impressive. And so are the Bazooka 12s but 1 blew in like 2 months. RF is the cheap way out. |

None I love this sub. I have it running mono off of my RF 160.2 and it takes it great. It''s enough to turn heads on the block. I have it in an Explorer and the bass is just crazy just as well as the SQ! I''m impressed. I''m going to get another 1 or 2 very soon! Similar Products Used: None |

JL 10 W0
Strength:
cheap.....kinda hits hard......
Weakness:
poor JL quality (poorly built), poor sound quality....don't get me wrong, JL sounds better than most, but still not great these things lick...... they hit kinda hard, but JL just doesn't have good sound, they don't sound right to me.....kinda muddy......if you get JL, get w3, you will be much happier even though you had to spend more money.......but here's what I think, get DD audio, DD audio is sweet Similar Products Used: orion cobalt....I liked it better, but it blew....so I guess the JL is better |

Strength:
Very high excursion, go very very low for 10's, lower than many ported 12's I've heard. and the price! I meen where else can you find two subs like this in a specalty built box for that kind of dough?
Weakness:
Not really a SPL sub, but can be quite loud when called upon, none other than that, JL rocks! It is a JL. The powerwedge is very well built. It is WAY underrated at 250rms, they handle loads more than that. I've had my 10's in my car for about a year now and I just love them. they sound clean and crisp on every kind of music. I don't know why other people say that they blow easily because I run mine HARD every day and they sound like the day they were new. Strength:
None, The free airs suck, I rather go with the kickers. ANd the w3 or w6 suck too. Many subs cound much better than JL.
Weakness:
They do not handle any power at all! The do not hit at all. They tend to burn up quick. Voice coil glues will melt and pour down the rear vent after only a few minutes of play!! Sometimes the voice coil ceases up, this is a common problem with jls. THe subs are the worst that I have heard and used. I blew them with only 50 wats rms. My friend blew his JL12 IB4's with only 80 watts and he is a proffesional installer and he competes! When they played they sounded like crap. My W6 almost burned up with only 250 watts from my kicker amp. THe magnet was extremely hot after 15 minutes of continous play. Three times blown? Hmmmn, this couldnt be a coincidence. I cant believe I was stupid enough to continue buying there crap. I guess it was all for the name brand. MY audiobahn subs are better than these. Similar Products Used: MTX Black Golds,5000's,6000's, Audiobahn awc10, Mb quart dwc10, rockford dvc's(not power), eclipse, kicker, and hooywood excursions. I had them all. JLs are the worst. I dont know who rates these things |

Strength:
very tight bass,You cant get a better sub for the price. I have two 10wo subs running off of a Zapco 200ag(200 wats RMS)and these babies really thump.
Weakness:
No weakness,If you have the right about of power and a quality built box there's nothing these can't do. If you want a good quality sub for a decent price this is the one to buy. Similar Products Used: I had 2 MTX blue thunder 12s and they don't compare to the 10wo |

Weakness:
My orion amp could blow all 6 easy thus it was well over 1200 watts I will take some pics of my car soon and post them.. I got a 99' grand am 6cl and its almost complete. Similar Products Used: Everything else I herd is way under these little b@st@rds.. Jenson Pioneer Rockford Crossfire Kenwood |

Strength:
When given a good amount of power they have the ability to pound. Very musical... rock sounds just as good as rap... and they get along with anything.
Weakness:
cone is a little fragile... JL quality dictates that even though the W0 is their weekest sub... it can still kick the crap out of most other comman street brands... and that's what's so great about these subs. I have the Power Wedge enclosure with 3 10s, and im pushing 600 watts into a 4Ohm load... it could be the vehicle, but the overall system quality is wonderful. I've never seen any distortion and they run great alongside the four 5.25" Infinity mids. But, like i said, the vehicle may have a lot to do with it... a friend of mine has a sunfire with two 10" W3s and a 500 watt ///Alpine V12... even with all the windows rolled down, you cant really hear it... compared to what they SHOULD sound like... but the three 10s in the jeep really do bass justice... get an SUV or a hatch if you want a system... it makes it all worth while... Similar Products Used: none... but i've heard plenty of other systems...mostly garbage like MTX and R/F... |
