Strength:
The strengths are the are farely cheap compared to most subs and the sound qulity is amazing.
Weakness:
The only weakness is the SPl is not the greatest but that's why you go with 4 idq's 12" and alot of power. I paid $130 a peice for IDQ's and about $800 for the US amps 100hc. Similar Products Used: There are no products you can compare it to. |

Strength:
Very accurate, goes low, small enclsoure size, takes a ton of power (I've heard 1000W on a IDQ12), can get very loud, relatively inexpensive
Weakness:
None so far This sub is incredible. I listen to heavy metal as well so I need very quick and accurate bass. And man did I get it!! Listen to Slipknot track 2 and you'll know what I am talking about. I love the double kick drum. It produces very smooth transients (Limp Bizkit - "Sour", gonna love the bass guitar in the background). I also played "Forgot about Dre" just to see how rap would do with my system. And man it hits hard!! the IDQ12 sounds very very nice! the bass is tight and not muddy like most subs!! the sound quality is awesome!! sound quality all the way!!!!! oh,it can play in a small box anywhere from .72cu.ft to 1cu.ft!!!! im powering my sub with 200 watts in a 1cu.ft. enclosure. gonna build a new box,.70cu.ft. with the dynaudio variovent.
Weakness:
for those into SPL or likes to listen to thier music out of the cars this sub is not for u. paid $145.00 for a single voice coil IDQ12. sounds like a $250-$300 sub. for those who are into sound quality i highly recommend this sub. Similar Products Used: nada! |

Small Sealed box requirements. Moderate Power requirements
Weakness:
Wished I had the same soud quality in a ported box and be able to keep the SPL Really tight sub in a small sealed box (1.0 cu.ft.), but gets a little muddy in a ported box (1.8 cu.ft.@35 hz) and also pretty dam loud. Really loud in a ported box 1.8 cu.ft. tuned to 35 Hz, but a little muddy. Sealed still rocks, but not as hard as the ported box. Sealed definatly sounds better and is tighter. They are also for sale. I am getting a Digital Designs 4515 for the up most highest SPL. Similar Products Used: JL audio W6 and the W0 subs. Cerwin Vega vega series |

Strength:
Very good low frequency extension. Plays in a small box. Very tight on pretty much anything. Tonally perfect.
Weakness:
I little muddy at really high spl, but that is to be expected with any sub. I paid $100 and don't regret a bit of it. Perfect sub for the perfect price. Anyone who doesn't like this sub has got something seriously wrong with them. Similar Products Used: Will absolutely destroy a JL Audio W3. RF and the like are far behind. The only subs that compete with it are the Eclipse and CMP's, and they are almost 3 times as much. |

Strength:
Can keep up with quick bass but can also hit with rap notes. It looks good. Rubber Surround. Can still hit hard even with smaller amounts of power than recommended and also handle larger amounts then rated at. Small box requirements.
Weakness:
I can't really find anything I don't like about it. I paid $129 apiece for them thru an internet dealer, (which means no warranty from Image Dynamics) but the retail price is still a very good deal for a Subwoofer of this quality. It is a very musical sub that can give good spl numbers, but they are still probably not for the so-called bass heads as there are many subs that give more spl (but these still give plenty for what is considered an sq sub). They can handle more power than rated, I was giving them (two 12's) 350 watts apiece and they looked like they could take more with no problems at all. And all this in small box requirements. This sub is the greatest SQ machine I have ever heard, the great sound when sealed and the accurate bass hits from Cypriss Hill to DefTones and back to club, these subs perform. I believe that for these subs are the greatest subs in their price range, having better SQ than even 300 subs, and SPL louder than most in its calss
Weakness:
