Strength:

Solid Sub cone
Solid basket/structure
Eyecandy
Love the Grill

Weakness:

Depth was bigger than standard by millimeters. Had to shave some MDF off and whala.
Grill is cool but insulation between speaker and grill was FUBAR while trying to screw it down.
Don't care for 6OHM but even less for the screw terminal style (not a deal breaker).
I think I purchased outdated speakers?

This is a ridiculous power hungry sub. I have two but only tested out 1 for a couple of months until I'm done with other piece of my project. I couldn't get enough power into one alone, I will have to figure out wiring for 2 subs broken down to 1 1/2OHM or some thing?

Hits hard, reaches low frequencies, looks damn good, heavy, feels like a real sub. Keep em bumpin

Weakness:

Very picky when it comes to the box, Know what u are doin and u will not be dissapointed, Whats with the glue?

OK i will set the record straight upon this review. Seemingly audiobahn's reputation is sliding down the drain. I think one word to describe it is inconsistency. But the ALUM's are impressive. First this 10 inch sub is big, heavy. looks pretty much like a twelve. I was very surprized at the aesthitics of the ALUM. To be honest its beautiful. NOW, before using it i obsered the sub for a few hours. First off the smell of Glue was alwayz there. When i looked to where the cone was attached, i saw lots of glue. Immediatly i was scared that i had bought one of the " defected subs" from audiobahn that everbody is talking about. Anyways i hooked this babay up, and its a great sub no question about it, AUDIOBAHN ALUM 10 is a very stable, responsive, and hard hitting sub. Its sounds impressive and remarkably reaches the low frequencies. To those who have given this sub a bad review, i assume they put it is an unsatifactory enclosure, over powered it, under powered it, or hooked it up wrong. Many people ignore the fact that its 6 ohm. To be honest do not listen to what others have to say, and see for your self. ALum is good stuff. This is def. an SQL woofer.

Strength:

excellent sound and takes a beating well.

Weakness:

a little shakey at low bass.

i just bought this sub and it is truly a work of art. i have it hooked up to a phoenix gold QX350 and it hits plently hard. I could get a bigger amp to it, but the quality of the sub and amp together is amazing. i love this sub.

Strength:

These subs hit pretty hard. They have decent excursion (near an inch i would say), but if they are getting over 600 watts each it looks like they are going to pop right out of the box. (no good!) They can hit really low frequency for only being 10's and are really tight sounding.

Weakness:

They sound muddy to me at around 125 hz and up. They split one of my boxes, so i had to buy a new one. (good thing!) Also, they look cheaply constructed under deep inspection. The logo on the front doesnt match the spots for the screw holes, the surrounds looks like they are badly stuck to the cones and one of mine came with a slightly dented cone.

I have had these subs for about 2 months now. I have them setup in my office in 2 seperate sealed .66 cf boxes with about 20-30% polyfill in each one. I am running the pair off a 1400 watt mackie power amp (great power amp) crossed over @ 65hz, with each sub getting 700 watts rms @ 2ohms stereo. Even tho they are in my office (a little bigger space then a car), at full volume they still hurt my ears. Sounds like someone is hitting my wall with a bat. (have them facing the corners of my office) Even tho they have some flaws you cannot beat the quality of the sound coming out of them for the 99$ price tag. They are awesome subs in any aspect if you have them setup right. (dont use a big box, they bottom out hardcore and sound like crap)

1. mtx 3000's (weak sauce!)]
2. Kenwoods of some sort, tornado style or something. They were also weak sauce.
3. MTX Blue Thunders - These are decent subs, but dont seem to nail the low end as tightly as the audiobahns.
4. Rockford Fosgates - review similar to that of # 1

I got the new amp and it sounded good at first, nice, loud, and clear but after 3 days with it the cones started bottoming out, scene the subs are dvc i have to wire them to 8ohms still and they would only be getting about 250W and they are bottoming out... horrable subs no 800rms like they are advertized

Strength:

great SQ sub. Pretty loud. they go very deep. I played them on a frequency test CD, and they went lower than the shocker II

Weakness:

cone dents easy, takes a lot of power for them to sound the best that they can

I had my 3 alum 10's runing off of a rf power 500a2. It sounded nice till i put the subs on an earthquake phd2. MAN!! that amp made the subs soooo muhc louder, and cleaner. These subs take a lot of power. I was probably putting around 450watts to each sub.

better than RF XLC's

Strength:

I'm running two and they hit great. My friend cant belive they are only 10"s. They handle the highs and low feq verywell. I wouldent trade them for many overprice counterparts.

Weakness:

You can never have enough.

A class D or a HC amp is needed to get the full sound out of these babys. And the rest you will hear.
