Strength:
Nice Display Cool Screensavers
Weakness:
Sound Quality Weak 4V Preouts 3 Band EQ Volume Knob or lack there of I bought this product to aide in my SQ competitions and found that this unit alone is a piece of crap. If you spend another $400 on the Clarion Processor, then it sounds ok. I had a Pioneer DEH-P5200 and it sounded 100x better than this deck. I returned the deck and bought a JVC KD-SH77 deck. This deck is great it is so clear and the features are so much better for less $$. I would reconmend not to buy this deck unless you are going to buy a lot of sound processors with it. But why spend $$ on a high quality deck just to buy more to get the same quality out of a less expensive deck? Strength:
dual 24 bit DAC''s, steering wheel remote brushed aluminum face. 4volt outputs, rotary knob.
Weakness:
radio kicks on seconds after ejecting cd, one of the most annoying Clarion feature. It is the same on all their units. Very easy to use, Dual 24 bit DAC''s make this very hard to beat. Steering wheel remote takes some getting used to, but is a definate keeper, I would have liked a face slope like the DRX9675z, But the contrast control makes up for that. One of the best for the money. I recently upgraded to the 2002 model the DXZ925. The only thing I can do to upgrade would be the NAK cd700. Similar Products Used: Clarion DRX9675z. Clarion DXZ715.
