The radio works!(at least)

This is the biggest problem. As with other reviews as seen here, the biggest problem is that this unit starts to give you Error 6 and Error 3 which ulitmately prevents you from listening to CD's. Us average lay person's can't figure it out and if you contact Clarion, they claim it to be a mechanism error and will gladly give you the name of a local service center to get an estimate or send it to them and they'll charge you a flat rate of $115.00. (If of course you're willing to go through all this B-S). My suggestion is by another brand car stereo and trash this one, cause you're now stuck with the problem. But hey, that's my opinion, I could be wrong.

Good sound, good looks, functions are user friendly only if you familiarize yourself with the manual first and use them frequently.

Wait...Like the other guy reviewed it. After 2 years its straight down hill.

When i looked at cd player this is the only one i like for the money. After having it for 2 years i will never buy another clarion. The amp inside went, sent it back under warrenty and it happened again. Clarion want $150 to look at it not including parts. So i used an amp and now after 2 years when you press the button to let the face plate go down the radio shut off. I did not abuse my cd player at all.

Looks, clarity, power, and flip down face.

Its skips every now and then. A cd will play fine and won't the next time even if I didnt take it out. Your cds better be in good condition.

I bought this unit because it was in my price range. What I like about the unit was its fold down face, remote, and its appearance. I also liked the two sets of pre-outs and ability to read cds w/ mini discs and cd changers, to find out later that you have to buy a clarion changer. Player doesnt read cds well enough.

Sounds great. Easy.

It doesn't play scratched CD's. And after you hit 2 years it keeps giving you error codes when you are trying to play a cd. And the book explanation for the error codes don't change the problem. So you end up taking it out and putting it back in about 10-15 times before it will finally play the cd.

Overall I have enjoyed having the deck. It sounds great with the entire system I have. However, I would not recommend it to anyone. There are a lot of problems with it, and once you go over 2 years, Good Luck!

Good looking unit. 2 pair of 4v pre-outs. Came w/ remote. Nice sound.

Wouldn''t play all CDs. Stopped reading CDs without having to fight with it. Died Saturday before New Years, did not last a year.

Was great for a couple of months. Would not play some slightly scratched CDs that my old Alpine would play, the Alpine even played CDs that looked like they had been slid across the ground.

I got this deck for $10.00 and it is phat.A buddy pulled out da negative and thought the deck was broken but thnx to some unknown website the problem was solved.

Value. Inexpensive entry level head unit with 4 volt output. Clear readouts. Classy looking face. Zero bit mute is a good feature.

Paid $190.00. Great deal for a clean sounding, high volt unit. No fancy features, just nice basics. No problems with reliability. You will not find a head unit that can deliver features like 4v and zero bit mute for under 200.00.

no options whatsoever!!! broke 2 units in 1 month!!! can't access cd tracks easily... clumbsy remote... skips too much!!!

I recv'ed this unit for a Bday gift and was excited... until about a month later when it started to skip... about 2 days later it blew... got it replaced again but had similar skipping problems so decided to change brands...

Was very happy with the sound quality (when it worked) and had mixed results with the interface (simple but clumbsy)... remote was ok at best (big and clumbsy)... looks were good but lacked options...

Good unit (when it worked) but will not buy another Clarion unit again... RELIABILITY sucks bad (or maybe 2 lemons in 1 monhth)????

Btw, my new unit (Panasonic 700) works flawlessly and has more options is in the same price range... no more skipping...

I like the sound quality, simple features, bright display, flip down, zero bit mute, good bass, nice 4v outputs.

gotta get a cd changer, this thing doesn't play scratched stuff very well. My old Pioneer played stuff that was almost all scratch.

overall it was worth what I paid. The system I have under it sounds unbelievable. Crossfire 35.4 tek amp, Xtant 3150, Cerwin Vega 6.5" components, subs are in middle of replacement.
