No gain?!?

Love it, Powers my 2 12W3''s perfectly, So much bass makes my whole car rattle including the motor to the rythem of the bass. Must invest in dynomat after buying this amp.

i was dissapointed by this amp... until i connected it right... after that i was like ohhh siet. 2 W3''''s from this amp are crazy as he11, i have the gain all the way down and they hit hard as -blank- i have this and a Phoenixgold zx475ti in my blazer and a good 500$ worth of Dynamat in a chevy blazer. The sound quality is amazing! The 500/1 is the best Bass amp i have listened too, very clean perfect for JL subs. i would recommend this product to anyone out there, the price isn''''t too bad and you get a great product.

Never over heats and I live in Florida 90 temp. weather and they slammed my two subs.

I was using a Alpine amp for a while then I upgraded to the JL 5001. To power my 2 JL 10w3 and with this amp they slammed in my 90 ranger. Now I have a 98 F-150 STX. That I plan to buy one Solo L7 8 in my truck.

none except the controls are hard to understand, but once you get it, you can contour a perfect sound to the subs and your vehicle.

This amp is incedible. Putting out 500 pure, clean watts it drives my JL 12W3''s to a serious knock. The JL 500/1 is powerful and yet relativly inexpensive amplifer. For just over $500 you get a continous 500 watts. Not many amps put out continous power like this and if they did it would be cost more than the 500/1. It has never gotten hot or clipped off before. I also have a MTX 102(125 X 2 at 14.4 volts) and the guys at the stereo shop said that the MTX draws more current than the JL. The MTX amp is used to power a pair of 5 1/4. Driving to school and to work even on those hot days this amp has treated me well. Its bumps like no tomarrow. It is the sh*t. JL is the sh*t.

This is an excellent mono block amp. As long as you stay within the proper ohm load, it will deliver the right punch at the right time. I have it driving one MM120 sub and it rocks. Not only does it drive my sub while playing R&B but it provides vey accurrate and controlled bass for the times I listen to jazz.

500 clean watts... no matter what. intelligent heatsinks... never got hot. parametric eq... superb for spl and sq. RIPS... much, much, easier on your battery design... simplicity at its finest.

1ohm not recommended. then again, you''re getting 500w all the time anyway, so why risk the distortion of a low ohm load?

boom-boom. a pyramid amp can do that. this amp unleashes a hugh eq to really let you shape your bass curve the way you want to (giving excellent help to sq). belts out 500w all the time, every time (great for spl).
