Nasty bass which makes everybody look and marvel at the noise I am making

nothing yet except for somebody messing with the switches to give me poor sound.

This amp is insane running a 12W7. I have a 90 Infiniti M30 which is a two door coupe and it rumbles everything. My trunk flexes like whoa and it looks like it is going to shoot off. I haven't had my dB's read yet but I am real confident at a 150 plus. Oh yeah, for $610 it is the best investment, right above my W7 for $400.

Cool under competition level stress regulated power supply(u r getting full power @ 11-15v)not like all the others who rate their amps @ 14.4v or higher and still mis-represent the amps power as being higher than they will ever reach even under the BEST conditions. (besides, how many of you are paying several hundred dollars to upgrade you electrical system to 14.4+ volts?) If you get a chance to read the down/dirty specs on the 1000/1 you will see that the amp is actually UNDERRATED @ 1000watts

Have yet to find any, except that if not tuned by a certified installer you are almost guaranteed to blow some subs. ***Another FYI- Use EXTREEM CAUTION when purchasing your JL gear... JL WILL NOT GUARANTEE YOUR NEW GEAR IF NOT PURCHASED THROUGH AN AUTHORISED DEALER! I have come across some people who buy "cheap" off the internet at "authorised dealers" sites and get the ROYAL SCREW if they have a problem. If in Question - ask JL themselves NOT the online company.

Here's the deal, I sell this gear in the retail world. Notice though, I make NO mention of where I work so my review is NOT biased for personal gain. My primary sales are JL and let me tell ya, I have yet to see an amp with such nuts! I am in the process of building another USAC sound car- this time i am taking full advantage of JL's gear. I cannot divulge the plans for the system for competition reasons(or lack there of) But look at it this way, I have been in this industry for 12yrs and JL is MY gear of choice. I will be running SEVERAL of their amps and subs. Also, any of you ever heard of Phoenix Gold's "bass cube"? Just an FYI - the 1000/1 has one built in! you just plug in a rbc1 (bass knob) which is mounted up front by you - no need to BUY a bass cube for an extra $240.

This amp is a damb beast. It never gets hot, not even in hot temperature. It put out a a lot of clean power. You have a lot of control over the sound of the bass. This is one amp I recommend to everybody. PG, JBL, Audiobahn, Fosgate, MTX, Orian, Crossfire, Soundstream, don't have nothing on the 1000/1!

I have a Jl Audio 1000/1 pushing 3 12inch JL audio W6v2 in a custon sealed box.The deck is a pioneer p8400. For the highs I have a Jl audio 300/4 pushing 4 6x9 pioneers and two pioneer 31/2, two pioneer tweeters.I also have three Fosgate digital display 1 farad caps. I'm running two to the 1000/1 and one to the 300/4. All this is in a 85' Cutlass. My best score so far is 163.3 db's.

This amp is sick. I have three kenwood dB+ 12"(the purple kevlar) and it is amazing. This amp is beyond words incredible. Worth the thousand.

good power and nice looking, heat stays low.

Need to know or play with the EQ Controls to get good sound. If not tune right there is lack of bass at some frequency's.

This amp is strong and clean, I can feel much power going to my two 12" vega's rated at 400 rms each. Also the bass control is very nice, lets you control the sound of the bass not the volume.

nothing from use of around 3 months, but JL audio should put a warning label, becaues my friends JBL 1220D's were blown cause of too much power into it.. sorry dude, ill buy ya some new ones :p also the price is a bit high, but i bought off a friend, and he gave ma a lil discount, but id pay full price all over again!

After playing my w7s i tried a few amps, and thought of ones i would want to buy. First off i tried the JBL 1200.1 and the amplifier was okay, but i heard a lot of distortion, and after testing out a few other amps, from kicker, and Memphis audio ,and these amplifiers barely gave my subwoofers power, the 2 (13w7's). So i tried a JL audio 1000.1, and to tell u the truth they should retest that amplifier, because it gave me enourmous sound, and lots of power.
