Holy crap...This amp is awesome. I can't believe the power that this amp puts out. I can't hardly breath in my Jeep. I can't turn the volume past about 20 (goes to 50) on my HU. I have it powering a Crossfire BMF 15DM, and I am VERY impressed by this monster.
Weakness:
Can't think of one Holy crap...oh man...oooo baby...jeez-louise...heavens...my oh my...wow. Similar Products Used: Kenwood Excelon, PPI, ARC, Zapco, Crossfire BMF, Cadence, Audiobahn, DEI, Soundstream Rubicon |

POWER! POWER! POWER! This amp is truely a sub amp that produces massive amount of power at a low price. The amber light at night is pretty cool too.
Weakness:
Adjusting knobs are flushed making adjustment a little getting use too, especially in imaginative installs. I would like it better if they were knobs. Highly recommended sub amplifier the first timers and the hard core. Spend the money you save on other stereo components! Similar Products Used: none for the price. |

Strength:
This amp has what it takes to pound your butt into the seat and keep coming back for more. I have 3 Eclipse Aluminum 12's in a Nissan Altima and a Streetwires 1 farad cap on this amp. The sound quality is great because of the power on reserve for those big peak moments.
Weakness:
The built in crossover is not very user friendly. It is not specific enough when you go to dial it in. On hot days it would tend to go into thermal shutdown, but i I paid about 599 at my local dealer and I would recommend it to anybody that wants to have great bass. If your subs can take nearly 1400 watts rms, then you should indeed love this amp. I would suggest getting a head unit that has a sub control to dial in this monster. Happy Bumping!! Similar Products Used: I have had only one amp that has even come close to the JBL amp in power, the Alpine MRV-1505, and not in this setup. I welcomed the power of the JBL, but I lost the great equalization and crossover control that the Alpine offered. The JBL is nothing but pure muscle, I would suggest an external processor/eq to dial it in. |

This beast puts out a ton of power. Car Audio Review tested it to put out 1378 watts into a 2 ohm load at 14.4 volts. For this amount of power, it is a great deal at around $400 online. Class D technology, never gets hot, draws a tiny amount of current for the wattage it puts out. Barely dims my lights when I have the volume at 28 out of 35 on my HU, any volume below that and there is no dimming, and I don't even have a cap.
Weakness:
Only complaint is the knobs that control the bass boost, gain and crossover are difficult to set because they go around twice so it is hard to tell what position they are set at. But if you do it by ear, then this isn't a problem. Great amp, definitly worth the $420 I spent for it. Was worried about the SQ of a class D amp, but it sounds just as good as any class A/B amp that I have heard on my 2 12" Infinity Perfects. It pounds the hell out of these subs. I'm shaking other peoples mirrors when I drive near them. Similar Products Used: ESX Q1752. The JBL puts out more than double the power, draws less current and doesn't get as hot, and the SQ is just as good. |

hard to adjust gains and xover in fancy install. This amp is by far the best car audio investment i have made. For the price it is extremely powerful. Even with it loaded down to 1.33 ohms it does not even get warm. My 3 Mtx 8000's pound like nothing i have heard before. Similar Products Used: mtx 500d x2 |
