this amp is good as hell. i have it running 4 kicker comp VR 12s it bumps hard. some people dont even wanna ride with me because of the sound. i piss off the people in my sub too. this amp is well worth it. buy it from scala1 (ikesound.com) on ebay scala1 is there ebay screen name. They have the best deals on all car audio.

I previously had a Rockford power Series 800a2 on my 2 Eclipse Aluminum 12''s. The sound was kinda muddy and it didn''t come close to the right amount of power. Plus, I had to wire them in parrallel so I was recieving a 6 ohm mono load. But the JBL amp is powering them great. The sound is a lot cleaner an it goes WAY louder, but I know it can put out more cause I only have 30 amp fuses in the amp instead of 40. So, I know it''ll be even better. The major drawback is that it i sucking my battery dry. I need another. would definately recomend this amp to anybody who needs a crap load of power!!

I heard great things about it, and they are all true... i purchased this amp for 280bucks used..., and i have it pushing (2) audiobahn AW1500x''s... @1ohm..., i am putting out about 1400wattsrms..., and my amp doesnt burn my hand when i touch it, like my other..., also the amp is class D, so it is electrically efficient, but it will still cause dimming...

Does not draw that much power. Lots of power for bass. Not to large or bulky for an amp with its kind of power. Looks great

Amp gets hot quickly. Especially on hot summer days in it might shut off. Place the amp in a well-vented area. If the amp is mounted to a folding seat bring the seat down so the A/C CAN COOL IT. Or try to have a fan cooling it if you listen to loud bass all day long hot summer

This is a great amp for the money. Has lots of power. I like this amp so much I went out and bought a second one cause the first one blow out cause I use cheap wires and the wires melted. (Lesson I have learn). I am running 2 JBL GT1241 12 inch subs in a seal box. This amp is too powerful for these subs. On my receiver I have my bass knob turn all the way down to -12db This amp takes alot of power for a digital amp but the bass is worth it. But draws far less power then a regular amp with fewer watts. I like the way it looks like a microchip and looks nice when it glows at night. Great amp I highly recommend it for strong, quality bass. I recommend a power cap for this amp so you won't damage your alternator. This amp uses about 114 amps

I have another dimming issue with my headlights, no biggie, but with my previous amps I had all but killed that problem.

This amp is well worth the price I paid. I have it slamming 2 Infinity Perfect 12's all over my trunk. Lots of peeps disagree with the looks of this bad boy, I on the other hand am very impressed now that I see it mounted. If you have perfects or anything similar that requires moderate amounts of power, look no further. You could buy a PG or Kicker or RF, but I seriously doubt you'd see or hear a difference, other than the label that's on the heat sink. Buy this beast and you will be rewarded!

Only other amps I've owned are a sh!tty power acoustic fire and ice 360 (bs) watt and (2) Infinity Beta Digital 100's (400 watts to each sub). Come to find out, when tested the beta's only dished out 308 watts (CA&E mag tested it). Infinity makes awesome speakers and woofers, but they knew what they were doing when they quit making amps, stay away from those suckers. I had 2 betas blow 2 perfects from internal defects, straight from crutchfield. So needless to say, this amp is in a different league. Plus now all the idiots that buy from Circuit City think I'm rich cause they sell for $700 there and are special order only! haha.

ok you could pay 1dollar a watt and think that is what you need to pay for a good amp but how do you think all those retailers make there money by selling good amps for 400 dollars or expensive amps for 1000 dollars. now i have heard lots of systems in my time and there is better amps out there but for the price you CANT BEAT THIS AMP! ppi makes a damn god amp they are very clear 115 db but they cost alot more per watt this amp has 110 db so if money is not concern buy ppi or usamps this amp is not the best looking but it stays pretty cool i have only over heated once in summer it was on for 2 hours in the heat and my truck was parked it can accept any wire configure that you want 2 ohm bridged 4 ohms bridged so it does not matter the subs you have it will power them at full.i got two perfect 12 now and im going to add two more later thats 300 rms each. BUY THIS AMP!!!

The amp totally pounds the heck (for lack of a better word i can use here) out of my 2 15" sub woofers and never gets hot or cuts off. I couldnt belive it when i heard it.

THe gain setting knobs are too small and limited to use.

400 i recommend it to anyone who is just starting out and wants to take the neighborhood by surprise, This amp with a pair of 15's is an A-1 choice.

the amplier truly has lots of power. Nice design. This is my first sub-amp. I went the extra mile to get what my money desevered. Drives my two diamond audio m5 subs hard.

contols and gains are hard to reach and change. no more....jbl is the best!

I use my jbl sub-amp paired with diamondaudio m5 subs. This amp really takes control of these subs and drives them HARD!! One problem is...I have to get a cap. I have an 1995 chrylser cirrus and when i get the volume over 28 (35)max...my head lights dim like crazy. Some times the amp clips or i don't hear music anymore...for like a second.
