Aggesive looks, yet modern. Silver ice is an awesome colot. Handles great. Roomy. Off-Road package is the best. The truck is lighter than most trucks the same size. It is a great truck for the accasional baja and romping around town.
Weakness:
gas mileage could be better. But well worth it! Great truck. Not dissapointed at all. This is my third truck and my last one for a long time. The smooth body lines and the front facia really set the truck off. The trucks drive great. Easy handling. Very comfortable interior. A lot of room to haul friends around. All my friends are between 5'8" and 6'feet tall and they say it is suprisingly comfortable in the back seat. I have hauled my s-10 on a car dolly and it has no problem towing it. I recommend going to a company that specializes in hitches and have them throw on a class 3 hitch. Similar Products Used: 91 f-150 4x4, 98 s-10 ext. cab |

Decent power, good feel. You can hit 100 mph and not know it. Good styling and handling. Fun to drive.
Weakness:
Gas mileage, and would like more power for 210hp. Back seat is cramped, but not like I'll use it much. Driver's side needs a more room. finally came down to buying the frontier after my '88 pathfinder decided it wanted to give me more problems(now I know why I am against buying used cars). I use to sell Nissan's and have owned an '88 hardbody prior to the pathfinder and loved it..so I walked in and out in about an hour. I love the ride and sound is good. It's quiet, comfortable, andexactly what I wanted. Similar Products Used: 88 hardbody. |

too many to count My truck was a piece of junk from the time I bought it the first week it broke down 3 times and then it went downhill from there. The 4-wheel drive shifter had all 4 bolts out the first winter. The next summer it overheated after that the stereo went then the windshield wipers go it is out of line constantly it is horrible on gas and then finally the motor went with mere $12000 left to pay on it and I bought the extended warrenty which my local dealership will not use. So buyer beware I am a 3 time Nissan buyer and the Frontier is a moneypit of a truck. Similar Products Used: 3 Nissan Hardbody pickups |

GAS MILAGE SUCKS - I miss my Accord Great truck. Looks great. I have the Solar Yellow and I love it. The dealer installed a Rancho lift new Tires and Rims and a 2.5 lift before I bought it ( the 2003's are on the way out and 2004 are due in any time. I guess they really wanted to sell this one. |

Frontier SC Crew Cab 4x4
Strength:
* Bottom end power * Aggressive & stylish looks * Interior appointments * In-dash 100 watt 6 CD changer * Long bed * Build quality * Good ground clearance & tires
Weakness:
* Top end power - it's a little wheezy over 3500 rpm. * Gas mileage just plain stinks, but I'm not too concerned. It's supercharged! * The transmission seems a little busy at city speeds, but that impression may be due to the fact that my last 4 trucks were 5spd manuals... This is, without question, my favorite truck out there - and I've owned an F-150's, a Tacoma, a Dakota, and a Silverado. The looks are fantastic, the on-road handling is the best I've experienced in a truck (I haven't taken it off road yet), the power is very welcome when compared to my previous Tacoma (read: dog), the long (just over 6') bed is welcome, and the interior is as sharp as any luxury car. I've only owned it for a month, but at this point I'm a very happy camper. |

nissan frontier SE 4cyl 5speed 2wd
Strength:
Gas milage good at 28mpg Canadian in the winter and 33mpg Canadian in summer hiway driving; still glad I didn't buy a full size gas guzzler or 6cyl Frontier . 2wd Frontier has very smooth ride. I had a Rino liner installed in the bed when the truck was new, best investment $600.00CDN., no signs of wear at all. fit and finish good from factory.
Weakness:
Not made in Japan, missing Japanies quality control. Needs more torque at low end to pull trailers and stumps like my 1987 4cyl 5speed Hardbody had. Frontiers load capacity much less than my 1987 hard body; as is used for landscapping work, once had overload of 2600 lbs in back rode level. Frontier would ride bent at that. To date had to replace 4 oxygen sensors due to poor quality, high sulfur Canadian gas ($3.45 a gallon today April 23, 2003) at a cost of nearly $1000.00 Canadian dollards including labour. Also replaced resistor pack for heater fan speed control at $60.00 Cdn. parts only . In first year had five flats and one was a staple; these cheap OEM tires must have no steel in them as in more than 1 millon miles of driving I have only had 2 flats before this Frontier. Had to repair front sway bar link as washers pulled through nut on link; cheap hardware. Cost 10 cents (2 washers) to repair. Paint easily damaged by the smallest stone, very soft not very serviceable and I expect to see rust in time because of this very disapointing. Nissan may have saved money and lost loyal customers. So where did they save? Bought New. Now 65,0000 miles; great truck by comparison to other reviews. Much better ride than my old 1987 2wd hard body but not as well built or able to carry as much. also 1999 much less torque where a truck needs it, at the bottom end to pull trailers or stumps. really needs 6 speed trans and posi-trac rear end (no need for 4x4 even in Canada) then would be perfect. after 1999 Nissan Canada gave up 4cyl sales; bad move on their part as people complain about bad gas milage with 6cyl engine.4cyl engines realy under rated by consumers today. Similar Products Used: 1987 Japanise Nissan Hard Body; 260,000km no rust, original clutch even used for landscapping, carried many heavy loads .Brake pads and tires replaced only one time. Poor gas mileage Not the fastest out of a stop This is my first truck. I traded in an extremely nice, still new full sized car that wasn't even close to payed off just because I fell in love with this truck the moment I drove it. I've had no regerets whatsoever. It is a very sharp appearing truck and is a blast to drive. In my opinion, this truck is the best of the compact pick-ups. Similar Products Used: Toyota Tacoma Ford Ranger |

Fuel Econony - Fuel Economy - FUEL ECONOMY Premium fuel requirement too small of a fuel tank some cheap interior parts (door lights, etc.) 4wd system - only 25 mph max engagement speed into 4H - sure not a jeep..... Also auto locking hubs - if you don't back up after 4H operation - you get even worse fuel economy..... GET THE LONG BED VERSION!!!! High Performance 55 series tires = poor off road performance out of the box.... Excellent truck - purchased with 30,000 miles as a Nissan Certified Vehicle. Best truck in it's class as far as I am concerned. A breath of fresh air from the S10's and Dakota's. Excellent performance - terrible gas milage! I guess they go together....
