The perfect truck!
Weakness:
None The perfect truck. The 4.6L V8 has more than enough power to tow around all of the toys, but it's still small enough to get 17+ mpg. I love this truck! 30,000 miles and all i've done is change the oil/filter and put gas in it. Similar Products Used: I had a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500. The Dodge doesn't even compare. The Ford has more power, has better gas millage, is much more reliable and has many more practical features. |

F150 Super Cab, 5.4L engine
Strength:
Power of 5.4 engine, handling, quietness and smoothness of ride. Captains chairs are very comfortable. Also the wide variety of seating, options and styles is an advantage.
Weakness:
To be honest, I haven't found any yet! I have had this beauty for about a month. It has performed flawlessly. It is quiet and has a very smooth ride. Smoothness of ride was a pleasant surprise since it is 4 x 4 with the off road package. On first long trip (2,000 miles) it got very good mileage from a vehicle not yet broken in. The rear of the cab is very roomy despite what many reviews. An adult rode in backseat on trip with plenty of comfort. The quietness of the truck gives one the sensation of riding at 50 mph when speedometer says 70!! I highly recommend this truck! Strength:
Mid rpm torque, can really pull a trailer.
Weakness:
Low range torque, does tow as well at 1200rpm. Only powerful above 1900rpm. Had it almost 5 years. Will continue to keep, as it is an extremely good vehicle. Almost no problems. Right rear wheel began corroding because I did not take it to deal to get exhaust moved to rear. Runs really well, cold weather or hot. Tows really nice. Comfortable. Fairly rattle free. 15mpg with 4wd and 5.4V8. Great handling for a tall 4wd. Nice dependable no roll over goodyear tires will probably go till 80k. Similar Products Used: None |

F-150 XLT SuperCrew
Strength:
Built to last! Strong engine with good gas milage for a V-8 truck. Good interior sound levels from the outside. Great visibility in all directions. Styling is getting better for the body over the years. A redesigned suspension puts this truck solidly on the road.
Weakness:
Bucket seats are a little narrow and could be a bit more cushiony. Interior carpet is on the cheap side as with all new vehicles these days. With a good sound system should come decent speakers. C'mon Ford, at almost 30 grand, you could have upgraded the 4 small speakers! Smooth, refined, impressive is the way I describe the 150 SuperCrew. Ford hit it's niche with this one. 5.4L Triton has plenty of torque at the low end and simply glides through the Texas Hill Country at 70 mph. The Suspension is very smooth although the steering is a bit twitchy. Once you get used to the steering characteristics, that is a minor point. Quiet ride! The 5.4L motor comes with and external oil cooler and you get a trans cooler with the towing package. Nice touch. The interior is spacious and comfortable. Get the driver's power seat if you order one. That is nice on long trips or for the wife to easily adjust when she drives. Adjustable gas/brake pedals? I don't need them but they are great for the wife! Decent factory (Sony I'm told) CD changer sound system. Great location of CD changer in center console as opposed to other 150 e-cabs, behind the driver! The A/C blows ice cubes for an R134a system! Where are those spark plugs anyway?? Similar Products Used: We are a Ford Family, no other. I support US Autoworkers! My SuperCrew was built by the loyal people of Kentucky! Great job guys and gals! Strength:
The power is amazing. This truck is a 4X4 SC with a 5.4 engine and the 3.55 rear axel. From my experience, there is no stopping one. I've put a gooseneck trailer on this one and pulled over 16,000 lbs excluding the truck weight with it! That's a gross weight of over 20,000 lbs! This was done going up and down some of the biggest hills of the Dakotas. We just set the cruise, sat and listened to the radio, and hardly knew the trailer was back there. Now that is Ford power.
Weakness:
None at all. Ford has done it again. I thought their trucks from around 1990 couldn't be beat, thought the 1997 was amazing, but this 2001 is outstanding! We've been working trucks on our farm here in Nebraska for over 50 years, and will buy nothing but Fords. Oldest running is a '66 Ford truck, and would take it over a new Chevy. Similar Products Used: Messed with other trucks before. Chevy's are made of pure tin. You could hit one with a Ford, and as long as you had a grill guard, you might not notice. There is no out pulling a Ford. Chevy's are fine to cruise around town, but don't try pulling anything. |

everything is a weakness, because this truck is worthless. Its the worse vehicle in the world. The first time i drove in the front left tire fell off. I'm on the side of the road all the time. It cost me 2000 dollars in towing fees. I've had 7 rental vechile, because the darn thing will not work. Its been in the shop fifteen times. I've had to get a paint job cause the paint fell off.
