Strength:

Leg room, hauling capacity, style, electric rear window. I love my ST!!

Weakness:

All my friends want to borrow it to haul there furniture!! So far one love seat and one sofa have ridden in my bed. :)

I always wanted an SUV, but also wanted to be able to haul mulch, lumber, rock, dirt, flowers, etc. without getting the inside of my SUV dirty. I was leaning towards getting a truck then one day sitting at a stop I saw it...the SPORT TRAC...from that moment on, I knew that this was going to be my next vehicle. Don't let the 4 foot pickup bed fool you, the ST can haul a good load. This is my dream "truck", and I hope Ford never stops making the ST!!

Strength:

4-wheel drive versatility with an excellent non-trucklike ride, and an outsized cargo capability.

Weakness:

Quality control gaffes from the factory. Typical SUV gas mileage. I wish it had all-wheel drive like my Subaru.

I love this truck/SUV whatever you want to call it. I went from my beloved Subaru Outback Sedan to the Sport Trac and have not regretted it. I have the comfort of a 4-door sedan/SUV and can carry lots of "stuff" in the back. From wooden fencing to tree branches to a load of dirt, I can finally carry it all without planning it out ahead of time. I've owned previous to the Subaru (have I already said that's a great car?) a Pathfinder and a Sportage and the Sport Trac towers above them both.

Strength:

Just an awesome vehicle!!

Weakness:

Few minor glitches of being a new vehicle, nothing major.

Awesome truck or SUT. Wouldn't trade it for any other vehicle out there. Few minor glitches but nothing that takes away from it. For more info see the awesome site www.mysporttrac.com

Strength:

Adequate room, the bed is big enough for most applications, good power and mileage combination.

Weakness:

Weaknesses? what weaknesses? Actually, if you are a really large person, you might have trouble with legroom in back. And for some commercial applications, the bed may be too small. Other than that, the lack of aftermarket add-ons can be frustrating sometimes.

I really like my Sporttrac. I've had it since 2/00 and have nearly 40,000 miles on it. It's had few problems and has come in very handy for my family of 4. We can all ride in it comfortably and still I can take things to the dump, get a load of mulch, or carry my bike to a ride with no problems. Mileage is good for this type of vehicle and I like the power of the engine (though I have made a few modifications). I've recommended it to several friends and have received numerous compliments and positive feedback. www.mysporttrac.com is an excellent resource for anyone who owns one or is thinking about it.

Strength:

Versatility - it does everything I ask it to from towing, round trips to Home Depot, to carrying 4 people comfortably.

Weakness:

Turning radius. Embarassment from people always admiring it.

Most versatile vehicle I have ever owned. First brand-new purchase as well and to this day I believe it was a great purchase.

Test drove Tundra & Nissan Crew Cabs. Both are much more truck-like than I wanted.

Strength:

Good sound system, keyless entry and rubber carpet. Slick rear power window.

Weakness:

Steering shakes a little when parking sometimes, but it's tolerable. Gas mileage is poor.

Versatile little truck. A pleasure to drive. Roomy for me being six foot three. My options are limited because of my height.

Similar Products Used:

My Dodge Durango was a also gas hog, but that was a V8 on a bigger vehicle...so what gives? . Was originally looking at Toyota Tundra but leg room was a joke. Chose Ford because of it's decent reputation with pickups.

Strength:

Unique and fun. You definitly make a statement when you ride around in one of these.

Weakness:

As a teenager, i'd love to improve on it's ~9 sec. 0-60 acceleration, but that's just me.

I've had a wonderful experience with my ST. I've owned it for a year and i always get compliments on it. I've had no problems with it thus far, and i'm very pleased with it's overall performance.

Strength:

Functionality. Styling. Versatility. Great looking inside and out.

Weakness:

None in my mind. Even the milage is fine for a 4500 lb vehicle if you don't drive with a lead foot. I get anywhere from 18 to 20 MPG depending on the type of driving.

I love my Sport Trac! Used to hate being stuck in traffic on the freeway; now no problem: crank up the CDs in the in dash 6 CD changer.

Be sure and get the moonroof option. When the moonroof is opened and the rear window (yes, the rear window facing the pickup bed opens) is down, it's a great ride. The leather seat option in a gray interier (outside color silver) all looks very striking, and is very comfortable.

Highly recommend the Sport Trac!

Strength:

Reasonably priced for a loaded SUV with pick Up capabilities.

Weakness:

More accessories please.

After spending many hours on the net searching for information I found a site dedicated to the owners of the Sport Trac. This site, www.MySportTrac.com clenched my decision in buying this outstanding vehicle.

By mating a four door Explorer and a pickup bed, Ford has built a vehicle far outperforming the Import and Domestic markets. This versatile vehicle rides like a car and hauls like a truck, what else can you ask for!
