Ram 2500 4x4 cummins HO
Strength:
It does pull my trailer much better than the ford and chevy did. Also gets good gas milage.
Weakness:
Everything else. Problems, problems, problems. The truck is a lemon. Been in the shop 6 times. Fuel rails twice, blown motor once, trans problems once, leaking axle seals once, injectors went bad once. The truck and dodge employees have been a nightmare. The truck payment is 469 a month, plus an extra 100-200 per mo to take it in and get it fixed. I could have bought alot nicer truck for that! Similar Products Used: Ford F250 (powerstroke)

Weakness:
everything, tranny, engine, 4x4 when engaged would pop out, drive shaft, etc. It was a LEMON! We even had an attorney! It was in the shop over 40 times with in 13 months! Everything went wrong with it! We bought the extended warranty, Thank God, but bc it was through a third party, we could not go back on Daimler Chrysler to fix it. Shadeland Dodge also knew it was a lemon and still sold it. We went back to trade for another Dodge and it was having the same problems. Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi Reg Cab 8' bed
Strength:
Hemi delivering 345 horses. When hauling things, I don't notice a difference in the performance. When you give the truck gas it moves. It has a nice roomy interior, with storage space in back of cab. The truck looks hot! It is the best looking vehicle on the road. When it's flying down the highway it says get the f#?$ out of the way.
Weakness:
Eats my CDs once in a while. The automatic transmission Greatest truck ever! The Hemi delivers great power and sounds great with a dual exhaust I had put on. Hauls ass! The truck would definitly leave Ford, Chevy, and those other so called trucks (Honda, Nissan, & Toyota)in the dust. |

DODGE RAM REG CAB 4 X 2

POWER AND TORQUE, ROOM BEHIND SEATS IN REG CAB
Weakness:
5 SPEED AUTO TRANNY WITH ALL THE ADVERTISING ON THE TUBE FOR THE HEMI AND NEEDING A TRUCK, NEVER OWNED ONE BEFORE, SINCE WAS PLANNING ON PURCHASING TWO UTILITY ATVS. LOOKED AT CHEVY AND FORD, BUT AFTER INITIALLY DRIVING THE DODGE WITH HEMI, I WAS SOLD. I LIKED THE POWER AS WELL AS HAVING EXTRA ROOM BEHIND THE SEATS THAT THE CHEVY REG CAB DID NOT OFFER. THE BRAKES ARE ALSO VERY STRONG AND HAVE EXCELLENT STOPPING POWER. AFTER HAVING DRIVEN ABOUT 14K ON IT I HAVE NO REGRETS AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS. I HAVE TOWED UHAULS ACROSS SEVERAL STATES ACROSS THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS AND WAS PLEASED WITH THE PERFORMANCE. GAS MILEAGE IS WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT. DRIVEN HARD AND IT WILL SUCK UP GAS LIKE NO TOMORROW, BUT DRIVEN REASONABLE AND I CAN LIVE WITH THE RESULTS. WHAT I DON'T LIKE IS THE COMBINATION OF THE ENGINE WITH 5 SP AUTO TRANNY. BAD COMBINATION, ALSO WITHOUT ACCESS TO A 3RD GEAR. I WOULD DEFINETLY TRY AND FIND A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. OTHERWISE I AM HAPPY WITH THE LEASE AND PLAN ON PURCHASING IT AT THE END OF MY LEASE TERM. 360 v8 auto power when needed. comfy enough to drive 16 hrs straight. No probs with the whole drive train.
Weakness:
2 real problems thought. - it kinda wrinkles after rolling 51/2 times. -and the cup holders don't keep your coffee hot.. the last 1 is they didn't make enough of them.. I'm having ahard time replacing my "Baby" I owned a 97 sister to this 1. Great truck. Both red. Thats why I moved upto the samething in 2000. With the 5.9/360 v-8 and the 3.55 rearend. there was power to pull all our toys north for moose hunting. Yet it still turned heads going to the beach. Add on a highrise topper and that was a truck for all occastions. The 4x4 was used only when needed was great, never a problem with that. This truck had room to spare in the cab. The ride was great and handled all weather. IF I WANTED GOOD GAS MILEAGE I WOULD OF BOUGHT A-WONNA-BE-TRUCK AND WENT WITH AN IMPORT. Now looking at the Off-road package. Everything. Dodge customer service is a major plus too. They know how to treat their customers. (Wish I could say the same about F#rd.)
Weakness:
Have to keep replacing tires- I keep playing and burning off the rubber too fast. Can I Say this truck is Awesome? I bought this truck used with 40K miles on it and other than oil changes, brake pads & normal stuff, I have had NO problems with it. Plenty of power for towing- extensively, and just fun to be seen in. My husband still has girls hit on him when he's driving it. It will have to go soon though, only because I need something bigger. It will be replace with the new Power Wagon. Similar Products Used: 81 Dodge, (2) 84 Nissans, 87 Nissan, 2002 F#ord, etc. etc. |

uhhhhh, it looked nice.
Weakness:
Engine, trany, braking power, Boulder Valley Dodge. This was a GIANT mistake. Just over 100,000 w/that ever so great extended warranty, I thought I was getting a great deal. First month cracked head, third month another cracked head, 4th month blown engine and trany. Boulder Valley Dodge didn't come through at all and the extended warranty only covered one of the cracked heads. I have owned a Dodge all of my driving life and I understand things go wrong from time to time, especially when buying an American made vehicle but it would be nice if the dealer would step up to plate when things go incredibley bad. Everyone else at work owns Toyota trucks and never have any problems, not a one. There is one other guy who has a Chevy truck and it seems as though he is replacing his fuel pump every other fill up. I've gone to the Japanese and have now been nothing but happy. Sorry Doge, you will never see another dime. It took me 17 years of dealing with your junk autos to learn that you are terrible. SEE YA, no more money from me. |

Ram 1500 SLT Reg Cab
Strength:
The power of the Hemi motor. This engione is quite powerful just stock. The versatility of the interior is good. A good truck to put a bass system in. I cranked 133 db in a reg cab truck!!!! Extremly light weight, which is good for the weight to power ratio. In the 1/8 mile stock I ran a 9.9 consistently. The potential power that can be released in this motor is what makes it really attractive. If you know the right people or know the right stuff you can blow the competition away. With the right combination of components and parts and you will have boss machine.
Weakness:
I quetion the necessity of the electronic throttle control and some of the other limitors on the motor. But if you have the patience to wait for the parts to become available, it will be worth it. AWESOME!!! The ride, styling, and power of this truck is just awesome. People diffently see you comming down the road, and know to get out of the way. Similar Products Used: Nothing else in the truck market can compare to this truck!!! The HEMI motor is the lost powerful gas motor available, without going to a V10, both Ford and GM can't match this power. Nissan boasts more horsepower, but they lack sorely in the torque to even move the wheels or come close to the quicknes of the Dodge. Nissan's Titan is also not a true full size truck it is in the middle not small enough to be a mid size but not big enough to really be considered a full size. Toyota and Honda are a joke among the truck community. |

Ram 1500 QC 4x4
Strength:
It's a truck. It rides like a truck, sounds like a truck and hauls my boat and anything else I've thrown at like a truck. The 4.7L engine is smooth, enough power for an average person and does the work you ask it to do. The manual transmission and clutch are smooth for those that like a stick. The interior is comfortable roomie enough for me and my family. The dash and accessories are easy to operate and located well. AC cools well on the 90+ days. And darn if the stock CD sound system does'nt sound all that bad.
Weakness:
After 18,000 miles I really haven't found any. I did have to bring it back to the dealership for metal in the rear differential. This is where buying from a good dealership pays off...I was up and running in two days with an apology and a thank-you for my understanding. I read the other reviews from any of the vehicle lines and I wonder if many of the bad complaints are problems that are not resolved properly or efficiently at the dealer level. I looked for about a year before buying this truck. I drove all the similar trucks, Chevy, Ford, Toyota. I was sold on the comfort, style, ride and options I could get on this truck. I sat in the fronts and backs of all the trucks, and felt none really felt any roomier than the other. The Dodge had a look I liked and found the exterior functions in the bed useful. All the trucks rode well. The Chevy rode too soft, Ford too hard and the Toyota reminded me too muck of my wifes mini-van.The Ram handled the road nicely, even my Chevy buddy said it had a great ride. The options are what got me. I could get the engine I wanted, the manual transmission I wanted and the interior options I wanted at no additional cost. Chevy wanted to get me the truck but everything cost more. The Toyota came with more than I wanted and that was the only way you'd get it.
