Strength:

Great gas mileage 18 in city, quiet driving, smooth ride.

Weakness:

shudders at very slow speed when taking turns, they tell me it's the 4 WD system when that happens.

I traded in my 95 Blazer with 110,000 miles on it. The Bravada and Blazers were selling for $23k+ in January but due to the econemy slowing down they dropped them to $18-19k to get them to sell. At that price I bought one. First it is loaded with everything but heated seats. The center console has trip computer, gas usage etc. The ride is much better than my Blazer ever was, and as for sound it is about 40% the loudness of the Blazer when driving it. Comfortable and no complaints about anything yet. I am getting around 18 in city gas, the Blazer was around 15. At $18,000 with only 23k miles on it, I am very happy with it. I got the 4 yr/48k warrenty bumper to bumper for $1300. Saved $14,000 over buying a new one.

Strength:

Smart Track system handles well in a pinch.

Weakness:

Drinks alot of gasoline. Windows tinted almost too dark for driving at night.

I am very pleased with my Bravada. It handles great. The interior is comfortable, quiet and has lots of extras. Mine has leather, moon roof, power everything and great sound system. It is black with tinted windows.

Strength:

Nice ride. drove really smooth on the road

Weakness:

The interior fell apart. The cieling fabric came undone and draped over my head. Have had to replace exhaust manifold and radiator. The ride off road was horrible. I dreaded each time I had to take it up or dirt driveway after the rains had dried it into a bumpy mess.

It also sways alot when I turn. Sometimes I feel like I am going to tip over.

I don't know how much we paid, but I would not buy it for any price.

I had a Honda Passport that I had through college which was really reliable. I bought this vehicle with my husband for a new car and now I want to kill him because he was the one that bought it for me.

Strength:

Leather, built like a tank, looks good, goes anywhere, never loses traction

Weakness:

underpowered, heavy, slow to brake, top heavy, poor gas mileage

Paid $19k over a year ago. My wife has appropriated it for hauling the kids and likes it because it is "safe". I don't like the top-heavy sway when it gets uneven but it doesn't bother her. It is priced better than a dressed-out Blazer. It is a very good value used because the price drops dramatically but the outer look is durable. People still ask me if it is new.

This is a great vehicle for hauling kids in areas where inclement weather is a problem. I live up a mountain ridge and this vehicle has no troubles running 60/40 full-time. I would not recommend it in areas where the 4WD is not needed because it is an underpowered gas hog. But for sheer safety and looks, it's pretty hard to beat.

Strength:

PLATINUM EDITION - BLACK AND SILVER. NICE LOOKING, QUALITY INSIDE AND OUT. ALL OF THE THINGS I EXPECTED IN THIS VEHICLE.

Weakness:

FROM THE BEGINNING I EXPERIENCED A CHOPPY RIDE. THEY REPLACED THE TIRES, FOUND SOME TYPE OF CLAMP UNDERNEATH THAT HADN'T BEEN INSTALLED AT ALL. AFTER ALL OF THE FIXES, THE RIDE IS STILL ROUGH. THE CLAIM IS THAT THE ROUGH RIDE IS THE RESULT OF THE BILSTEIN SHOCKS. I WONDER.

DTHE FIVE YEAR, 60000 MILE WARRANTY SOLD ME. I AM PRETTY PARTICULAR WHEN IT COMES TO MY VEHICLES. I HAVE NEVER REALLY FOUND A DEALERSHIP THAT CARED ENOUGH ABOUT MY VEHICLE ONCE I EITHER LEASED IT OR BOUGHT IT.

I HAVE DRIVEN GM PRODUCTS MOST OF MY LIFE. THIS IS JUST AN AVERAGE VEHICLE. NOTHING SPECIAL. THE ONLY THING THAT SAVES IT IS THE SPACE INSIDE THAT ALLOWS ME TO CARRY STUFF WITHOUT HAVING TO CRAM IT INTO THE TRUNK OR BACK SEAT OF A CAR.

I REPLACED A 1998 BRAVADA WITH IT. THE 1998 WAS OK. THIS IS SOMEWHAT BETTER. IF I HAD IT TO DO OVER AGAIN, I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LIMITED THAT I WAS LOOKING AT OR THE LEXUS SUV THAT I WAS INTERESTED IN.

Strength:

Most everything is standard ... the 2002 has a new frame, a straight 6cyl. vortec engine with 270 horsepower, leather interior, moon roof, 6 stack premium Bose stereo system, Smart Track, towing package, rain sensing wipers, etc. The vehicle has great accerleration, but the best ever is the ride. It's like floating on clouds.

Weakness:

Driver cup holders, rear a/c fan noise, maybe too many bells & whistles.

This is a great smooth riding product with plenty of interior room for 5 adults plus a rather large rear storage trunk area. It compares very favorably to the products listed above in terms of quality, performance, ride, and interior space.

Strength:

I am able to see out which is great since I am barely 5' tall. Handles great. good gas mileage

Weakness:

I have replaced the alternator three times since I have owned this vehicle. It is a 1992 model which I purchased in 1993 and I recently replaced the alternator. The only other problem is that I spend $947 today to have the fuel injection repaired which seems to be a normal occurence in this model/year

I thoroughly enjoy my 1992 Bravada....I would love to have a brand new model, but can't stand the idea of monthly car payments !!!! I highly recommend this vehicle to everyone. I feel it is a shame that they are discontinuing this vehicle

My son had a 1986 Chevrolet Blazer which was comparable...but I choose the Bravada over the Blazer any day.

Strength:

Smooth ride, smooth looks, good mpg for an SUV. Leather looks great, CD player, Smartrack is a life saver. Beautiful Vehicle

Weakness:

Slightly top heavy, but aren't nearly all SUV's? sluggish in town, but is worth it for the gas mileage.

Overall, i love this truck. i've only had it a short time, but have absolutely no complaints. i purchased a 96 from a dealership and added a 4yr warranty for less than $2k. Good looking, great running vehicle.

Test drove many explorers (mostly eddie bauers) which are nice, but very overpriced. Much more room than Jeep Grand Cherokee or any of the foreign SUV's that i drove.
