Strength:
Strong engine, nice strong looks...Great features that are normally found in high luxury vehicles.
Weakness:
Gas guzzler....Also notice thumping sound when making a left turn at slow speed. Notify Dealerships and will be bring it in, so I''ll keep you posted. Beautiful vehicle. Very pleased with the quality, safety features and package that Oldsmobilie offers for a very competitive price. Similar Products Used: First Suv |

Strength:
strong engine, smart track, interior, paint
Weakness:
well i havent went through mine with a fine tooth comb as these others have, but as far as i can tell there are few (as with most other vehicles) i love the bravada. im not sure what is wrong with the other people writing these reviews but i feel that these people are the type that will find everything wrong with anything on a car. if they dont like the american car, then give another country your business, but i think i will stick with american. my bravada is a smooth riding and handling truck, powerful engine, and the gas mileage isnt that of a geo but i hate to inform the people but thats what you get for buying an suv. Strength:
smart track 4x4
Weakness:
undiagnosable problems, poor customer service, squeaky interior Happy with the looks and the smart track four wheel drive. Plastic squeaks and rattles a lot. Gas guzzler for a 6 cylinder engine. Been through 2 sets of rear rotors, service stations told me that is common with Bravada, Blazer, Jimmy due to a light rearend. Truck with 73,000 miles has been in the shop 3 times in a month because it stalls for no reason at all with no warning. Dealer has been unable to fix or diagnose. Died in the middle of an intersection last time, and I fear for the safety of my wife and children so we are getting rid of it. Oldsmobile customer service no help at all. Have researched the problem online, is happening to others as well. I guess someone will have to get killed before GM does anything. If you own one now and are having problems, hang on to the receipts for repairs in case of recall and get rid of it. I will never buy another Bravada. My 1986 beater truck is more reliable. Strength:
I have not driven it enough, except back and forth to the service center, to list any strengths.
Weakness:
Vibration, rough transmission/engine, noisy transmission, absolutely no customer support from Oldsmobile, WORTHLESS WARRANTY, no loaner vehicle for repairs that have taken 6 weeks! I have owned 4 Oldsmobile vehicles since 1975. This will be my last GM product ever! I should have listened to the mechanics that advised me not to buy GM but I wanted to buy American. Never again! Horrible Reliability, Build quality, Dealer service and Oldsmobile suppport. I have owned this Bravada since May 22, 2001 and it has been in for service since then. I only have 250 miles on it. It has a driveline vibration that they just cannot repair. They think a spark pulse is being transmitted in the exhaust so they installed a long element exhaust manifold and springs on the manifolds. Hey also thought it had excessive runout in the front drive shaft so they replaced the propeller shaft in front of the transfer case. Now it is even worse. I cannot get a loaner vehicle from Oldsmobile. What good is a 5-year warranty if you cannot ever use the car? Oldsmobile customer service just tells me to bring it back to the dealer and there is nothing else they can do. This SUV runs rough, is noisy and the vibration could make you sick if you had to endure it long enough. GM just does not care. I guess I'll have to fight Oldsmobile on this one using the lemon law. Did I get the only lemon? Similar Products Used: None |

Bravada
Strength:
A luxury vehicle for a good price, good gas milage, handles well in all driving conditions.
Weakness:
Noisy in wind, top heavy, floor area small for front passenger. I commute to work daily 20 miles on I-94, and the Bravada has given me a smooth ride (including potholes!) safety, good acceleration and braking. The interior could be a little larger I am not impressed with the floor bump on the passenger side and the windows are tinted a little too dark, especially when entering parking garages.
