Strength:

It has alot of carrying space. Great for traveling when you need the room. Isn't too bad on gas. The look is great. Handles well in the winter.

Weakness:

I have had alot of engine problems. I have had 3 alternators, 2 fuel pumps, and alot of electrical problems as well.

I know not all cars alike unfortunately. However, I would not recommend this vehicle to someone I liked. If you enjoy working on cars this would be for you. My poor husband is always fixing something. Isuzu has dealt with my problems for the most part. It's just a hassle most of the time.

Strength:

It's a really nice looking ride, after 2 years nothing major has wrecked (yet). Cute compact SUV.The staff are really friendly. All I can say is it's a really nice looking vehicle even after it's 2 years old it still makes peoples heads turn.

Weakness:

The shocks are really bad small bumps feel like you hit a big pot hole, ABS light is on and is $500.00 to fix, gas gauge doesn't work is $650.00 to fix, the shocks aren't the best, seats are uncomfortable, cheap interior, driving in wind is the worst the vehicle blows all over the road. you can hear the driving outside really loud in the vehicle even with the music turned up. The factory Cd player always f**ks up the cd gets jammed. The back window always sounds like it's going to fall off. The hole dash shakes on gravel roads.

I got mine in '99 and it's now 2001. I really like it if only it didn't sound like it's just going to fall apart. I guess I have been taking it through lots of gravel and mostly off roads so that maybe the reason for it's feeling like it's going to fall apartness. My rating is even though it seems like I hate this vehicle actually I love it. I'm actually planning on updating it for a more recent one,the only thing is that the parts seem to cost so much.

Strength:

Nice looking from outside and inside.

Weakness:

Slow as crap, I just got in a wreck with it and it crumpled like nothing and nothing happend to the car I hit.

For how much they cost it isn't worth the money. I has a really small engine and takes like 17 seconds just to get up to 60 mph. I would not recommend buy such a hunk of junk that crumples like nothing when I got in a wreck hitting a car at 15 mph.

This is an excellent truck, I love it, 124K on it and it is still
good, the only 1 visit to the dealer was the replacement of the timing belt and shocks - was not to impressive from day 1.
In the future I would by Axiom - still Isuzu with a great warranty.

None

This is a follow-up to my review of over a year ago. I just passed 60K miles, and have had no mechanical problems whatsoever! This is by far the best built and most reliable vehicle that I have ever owned. I would highly recommend the Rodeo to anyone looking for a mid-sized SUV. This is my first foreign vehicle, and as far as I'm concerned, Isuzu has earned a customer for life.

everything else

Design and built by chimps.

A few reasons why I think so,
1. Cheapest interior material ever own.

2. Stereo sound just like that tape that I fogot in the trunk for 2 years.
Maybe because the tweeters are pointing into the.......where are those things pointing anyway?

3. I am supprise that they have not got sue for the placement of the WINTER SWITCH, maybe they have that I have not know about.
I use that switch about 15 times, ALL UNINTENTIONAL.
Abuse the transmition a couple of time to avoid being run over(throw in reverse while moving forward).
VERY DANGEROUS WHEN MERGING INTO TRAFFIC OUT OF PARCKING LOT, INTERSECTION...etc. when the switch is engage UNINTENTIONALLY.

a word of advice to the chimps.
something like that should be place in a driver control only position.
DON'T PUT IT ON THE ARMREST!!!.

Strength:

Big 31X10.5 Tires great in the sand, mud and snow.
Engine seems strong enough to pull my 17' Bass Tracker without dogging it to bad. Love the fold down seats, Great room considering it is a Jap truck. Runs Quiet

Weakness:

GAS GAS GAS, Tires are expencive too. My driver seat on the left hand side had worn and I had to sew it up so the foam didnt fall out.

FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN.

I had a 1998 Rodeo It seemed to be made from cheeper material than my 92. The anti lock on the 98 failed around a bend on snow which caused me to completly rip the whole front end off costing in exess of 12k to fix. I also had a 1999 Blazer LT. That was a really nice SUV however I didnt want to get it dirty since I paid damn near 32k for that truck.

Strength:

1)v6 engine
2)decent ride

Weakness:

where do i start just to name a few
1)noisy interior
2)horrible over bumps large or small
feels like car will fall apart everytime you hit a bump
3)less than decent radio, the factory speakers suck!!
4)doesn't feel very sturdy

The rodeo is a decent SUV. As long as you don't go over bumps the SUV is a nice ride. Don't be fooled by the different models the S model and LS model is exactly the same except for some cheap wood trim and 16 inch tires instead of 15 inch tires.Overall i thought the SUV stunk.

A GREAT truck for the money. I looked at them all, and Isuzu offered the most. When you break down what you get for the price (power and standard features), what the reliability ratings are, and customer satisfaction, It far excedes the compatition. (XTerra comes close, but I want the extra 35 HP)

Strength:

Style, power, comfort, ammenities.

Weakness:

Fuel economy, interior carpet, no hood light, rear window washer.

I have received many complements on the vehicles appearance: color (bronze), interior ride. Excellent acceleration, braking (ABS), in-dash 6 cd stereo sound. This is my first SUV so fuel economy is so-so about 280-300mi per tank (20 gal), cheap interior carpet, rear window washer trickles instead of spraying like front window washers. This is only the second vehicle I've owned. My first car was a new 1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, I put 150,000+ mi on that 2.3 liter. I got a great deal on this SUV with 0% interest for 5 years. I just put 4000+ on the odo driving to and from Miami. I hope this SUV lasts as long as the Thunderbird (13 years).
