Strength:
All the above
Weakness:
Noisy engine, too shaky when the suspension is in comfort mode I am sick and tired of people that dramatically drop the rating of this excellent vehicle by complaining about their relationship with dealers. Get real, people! This is a great vehicle in both performance and styling. If you have problems with your dealer, go to different one. This site is for posting reviews about the vehicle, and not about your bad experience with some dealers. The service I got from the Clifford Isuzu was outstanding, but, again, I give my Axiom 5 stars based on my satisfaction with the vehicle, and not how competent my dealer was while introducing it. And if the Gas/Mileage confuses some Axiom owners, I would recommend them to drive some other same category SUV's and compare, or trade-in with a joke with 2.0L engine like RAV4 or CRV. Then you will be satisfied… The Axiom is great in performance, handling and styling. I just love it… Similar Products Used: Owened: Nissan Maxima, Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, Plymouth Colt Vista, Toyota RAV4, Mazda Millenia. Test drove: Pathfinder, Xterra, 4Runner, Escape |

PERFORMANCE AND THE DETAILING OF THE INSIDE OF THE CAR. NOT TO MENTION THE STARES AS TO SAY WHAT IS IT.
Weakness:
GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS I LIKE THE CAR. IT HAS A NEED FOR SPEED. I THINK THE TAKE OFF IS WHAT GOT ME. I WAS NOT PLEASE WITH THE DEALER. THEY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THE CAR. I HAD TO DO THE RESEARCH MY SELF. THAT DEALERSHIP SHOULD BE A SELF SERVICE. BECAUSE IT IS CLEAR THAT THEY HAVE NO CLUE. THE INSIDE OF THE CAR IS BEAUTIFUL. I ALSO HAVE THAT CLUNK SOUND. I WILL TAKE IT TO THE DEALER TO CHECK THE NOISE. OTHER WISE GRRRRRRRRRRR GREAT. Similar Products Used: NONE |

Strength:
Power, comfort, stylish look, and THE best warranty.
Weakness:
Expensive on gas, but WELL worth it. My husband and I were looking for a vehicle that would accomadate a future family and my job, yet not take the luxury away from what I was used to. We traded in a Cheverolet for this Axiom and I caouldn't be happier. I love this vehicle! It has the power and the room that I need plus the luxury and style that make people stare as I pass. I think that Isuzu really it the jackpot on creating a great all around vehicle. Similar Products Used: None |

Axiom XS 2WD White
Strength:
Strong all around performer. Good towing, strong engine, good fit and finish, and standard 17 inch rims and tires. Lots of dealer incentives on this Suv, but even at sticker you get a lot of SUV for the money.
Weakness:
Poor resale, this truck stickered for over $30K but I got it a year later for less than $18K. Thirsty, but to be expected as per weight and power. More driver leg room. Seperate the A/C controls from the stereo controls. My wife and I were looking for decent SUV for under 25K. We were leaning toward the Jeep Liberty Limited, the Axiom S model or a stripped Pathfinder. The Jeep was underpowered and seemed tiny, the Pathfinder was a rocket but its in its last year of production. Then we drove the Axiom. Great power, smooth ride, wife loved it. I was not sold on the cloth seats however. Then I happened upon an XS for sale at a local dealer with only 15K miles and loaded with every available option. The ride is very nice, plenty of power but very thirsty, the driver side seat should go back farther (I'm 6'3 and have trouble getting legs confortable) but it fits my wife perfect. We had a clunk in the transmission fixed under warranty. The dealer was easy to work with and the repair was quick. Similar Products Used: 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee 98 Isuzu Trooper |

EXTERIOR DESIGN for SURE. Interior design, surpisingly powerful.
Weakness:
I dont know what most people get in the way of gas mileage but I only got 8mpg because of the steep mountain. It'll probably get around 15. I rented an Axiom because I needed a 4 wheel drive vehicle to go up to the mountains two weeks ago (My Isuzu Rodeo is 2wd) and after six days and 1900 miles in this thing, I have to say it is awesome. EVERYBODY loved it when i drove by. I was asked numerous questions, surprisingly like "who makes this" and "when did it come out" I cant believe people havent even heard of the Axiom. Let me tell you, it is awesome. From the interior colors to the design. You gotta test drive it before you can say anything. The exterior is either a love it or hate it design. I love it and have from day one when I saw one. Isuzu makes great SUVs that are pure-blood fun machines. Axiom, Rodeo, Trooper... Isuzu just makes some of the best underrated SUVs out there. going up the mountains this thing did it in 4th gear most of the time! Torque and power are great. Strength:
Powerful Engine. Great warranty. Nice 17" rims, almost fully loaded even with the base line. Nice and smooth ride.
Weakness:
Crappy integrated and unreplaceable head unit. This head unit tax me on competitions. Weak brake, very weak. Fell in love right away on the test drive, bought it on the spot. Very smooth compared to many sedans/suvs, including my friends, Acura TL, MDX. Powerful engine. Nice interior with dual tone color. Similar Products Used: 4Runner, weak sauce. |

I'm tired of some idiots complaining about the ride. Get real people! The Axioms are SUVs and all of them are mostly truck-based. They are built with different types of suspension because of their weight, their towing ability and their off-road capability. I have a 94 Amigo and the ride is bumpy. Why? Because the wheelbase is short, the rear suspension is of a truck(leaf type) but I don't complain at all and I love it more as it is getting older. For the Axioms, the ride should be much better plus the Isuzu Intelligent Control System. If you still can't live with it, go to heaven and buy your dream vehicle or buy some car-raised SUVs like "H" CRVs because these ugly feminine vehicles are afraid of dirt...You know what I mean! |

Isuzu Axiom XS 4WD
Strength:
Powerfull V6, T.O.D. all-wheel drive system with 4WD Lo makes this a real sport/utility vehicle. Very upscale interior (I have the gray leather). Higher quality interior than most of the competition. Excellent fit and finish.
Weakness:
Power seats should have an up and down function. The factory sunroof wind deflector is too short to deflect wind at some speeds. You need to purchase the optional bubble type. Should come standard with a roof rack. Standard Goodyear Integrity tires have poor wet and snow traction. If serious about buying, bargain with dealer about changing tires(I wish I did). An optional GPS nav system would be nice. Did a lot of shopping around for mid-sized SUV's. I found the Axiom isn't the best in any one area, but really good in a lot of areas. Towing capacity of 4500#, body-on-frame design for durability, 4WD Lo for off-roading, unique, eye-catching body style, comfortable yet stylish interior, and I have been averaging 17 mpg in the city and 21.8 mpg highway with only 3,000 miles on the odometer. It will surely improve when it fully breaks in. Similar Products Used: I do a lot of traveling and have used many rentals.
