Strength:

Great SUV. Unique styling. Cool.

Weakness:

The gear shifter takes up too much room, which doesn't leave enough room for storage space for your wallet, cell phone, sun glasses etc...There are only 2 cup holders...not the end of the world. Also, the drivers side power window controls are set back a little too far, but again, you get used to it after a short time.

The H3 is great! It is a sturdy, yet luxurious SUV that appears larger than it really is due to its boxy design. The nicest feature is that it really turns on a dime. The turning radius is unusually tight which makes parking lot driving very easy. The interior is very nice and the layout of the dash makes sense. The ride is firm and sturdy, but still comfortable. The gas mileage is decent as is the pick up. It's not a sports car, but certainly moves you around nicely. I LOVE it! It literally turns heads....everybody looks when you drive by. You can see out the rear window just fine...just takes a little getting used to. The rear tail gate is easy to open and takes just s little muscle to close...no problem at all.

everything from it's catchy looks and stunning image to it's niche as being the premier ride which many will envy you for.

Weakness:

Gas mileage, not nearly as bad as many proclaim other than it's critics who can't afford one. Ignorance and stupidity should be taken with a grain of salt.

Perfect ride- everything I imagined it to be. As far as the above negative review it certainly appears as this individual has either emotional stability issues or is extremely insecure. No vehicle is like the H2- It rides like a Mercedes with offroad capabilities second to none.

I traded my H1 diesel for this H2 and I love this truck! Been driving for 14 months and no problems rock solid, I also had Infiniti 2005 QX56 truck that couldn't stand up to the roads of New England. It was, in and out of the dealership every other week. I finally sold it for 12,000. less than I paid just to dump the headache. The H2 grows on you, the more you drive this rig the more it grows on you. I really laugh at all the clowns that are concerned with how much it cost to fill or how many miles per gallon. Then when I tell them 12mpg city and highway at 60mph I get 18mpg. They are so amazed, I tell them mpg in this truck is great compared to my old Range Rover 9mpg or other cars I owned. New England just had some of the worst rain we seen in many years and I wanted to put sign on my truck that read "How much do you like your Honda Now?" Or maybe create a website of all us H2 owners running out there with our digital cameras giving every little car stuck in the mud or flood water the finger and post who the stupid one now, oh by the way change your pants there wet!!! I drove my H2 like just any other day and the only comments I heard that week were, Man, thats the perfect vechicle for these conditions!! I told them even better on a sunny day!! The first thing people say when riding in my H2 is wow how smooth it drives and it has great pickup, people who write stating how sluggish there truck is, don't own this truck or should call the dealership to get the motor checked!! The truck has a great look and ammenities are great, really H2 Hummers are awesome!!

Strength:

Interior comfort, ride quality, styling, quiet when driven civilized, very capable when driven in uncivilized terrain, draws ALOT of attention, cool, my son loves it, everybody that rides in it wants to ride in it again.

Versatility is this vehicles ultimate attribute. I can take my parents for a sight seeing cruise, and the H2 is ideal for that purpose. I can take my son out with his friends, and you can fit quite a few of them. I could go cruise the strip and it would only out-shine the various tuner cars and sports cars. It is comfy at valet-parking only restaurants, and you can drive it through a rocky muddy field if you have the urge for that. The comfort makes it great for longer trips as well.

Not only can it go those places... it's almost in its ideal element in each of those very different situations. It is the most desirable vehicle anywhere near its price point, or even at or around $100k.

Weakness:

Bose system isn't what i'd call great, interior could use a little dressing-up. Mileage obviously isn't fantastic, but it's not that bad at 11 or 12 city and 14 highway. Better than my full sized pickup.

Iconic, surprising vehicle.

I guess up to a year ago or so, i was an avowed disliker of the humm... big ugly truck. While car shopping for something really nice (for me), i drove cars upon cars... but never an H2. Finally, the local dealer (also sells caddy, love the new V cars) coaxed me into taking one for a spin. After getting over the surprise of how comfy the seat was, how easily it drove for its size, how quiet when driven smooth, and how superb the ride was... i couldn't really consider anything else. This big old truck rides like a lux SUV - a really good lux SUV. The front seats are a complete masterpiece.

The cost of mine includes having the exterior trim painted, every factory option available, and a considerable dose of accessories just for fun.

Even in stock form, this thing draws more attention than a porsche, any mercedes or beemer. Maybe a glow-in-the-dark ferarri would attract more, but until i run into one, i can't be sure. If attention isn't your thing, then that is something to consider.

After having the vehicle for some time, i like it even more. If you think you want an H2, you do.

I gave it a 5 star value despite its high cost because you'd have to spend soooooooooo much more to get anything with as many pluses, or even close.

Making me momentarily forget that my boss doesn't know my name, my wife doesn't respect me, and that little acorn between my legs is actually my johnson.

Weakness:

When I realized that when people see me in my Hummer, they actually assume I'm a total tool.

I was looking for an overpriced, underperforming, poorly built truck that would make me feel better about myself. Well, I found the perfect vehicle! Car and Driver and Motor trend were both right, the H2 totally sucks! It's ugly as sin, it's slower than molasses, and I needed a second mortgage to pay for the gas. But who cares?! Now I'm important! Right? Hey, look at me! Sure, if I REALLY wanted a truck for off-roading (like I claim) I could've gotten a Land Rover, or 4-Runner, or a Jeep. And I guess if lugging my family around was actually the issue, a station wagon would've been great. But, let's be real, the Hummer is all about image and compensation. There's no other niche it actually fills.

Great vehicle if you know what you are getting into. Unfortunately, most who purchase this vehicle will never use it in its intended capacity. It is very capable off-road, and is decent on. Not exactly the daily commuter, but if that is what you want then get a honda and quit whining. If you have an appreciation for slinging mud, pony up, spend the money and enjoy yourself. You will not be disappointed. If you are a tree hugging vegan, maybe a hyrid or fuel cell is more for you. To each his own. This BEAST drinks gas gallons at a time... be forewarned, again, if you know what you are getting into, this is neither an issue nor a concern. Any high performance or off road machine will do this. As with anything, it is not for everyone. Comparatively, it fairs well. Any competent off-road machine will consume its fair share. having owned a variety, I am pleased with the decision on the H2. Competent commanding and capable.

Gas mileage. Protest from ignorant people.

I love everything about this vehicle. I owned an Escalde before I realized so does everyone else. Right then I decided it was time for a change. People say it's a suped up Tahoe. Hello Dummies, There's not a vehicle out there that doesn't share the same platform as something else! The gas mileage is a little bit worst than the Escalde but not by much.

I live in the great state of Texas. We ain't got no mountains, thank God, but we got the mud and this thing craves it. I have tried to stick it in the creek on my ranch and it just won't stick. I've heard of people breaking the freaking axles.....and YEP, they will break if you don't use it right. So will a hammer. It just has too many drive options for the ignorant boys who just crank it up and go without reading how to use what options and when. I've pulled 2 fords and a chevy sideways out of snotty mud without so much and slipping a tread with this beast. If you can't afford the gas, go buy a rice burner soccer moms car and quit wimpering about the plastic parts and money pit it may be. The stereo belches out Hank Williams so loud and pure I can hear it over the cows calling from the other side of the creek.

Weakness:

It's got as many weak points as a Lexus or Toyota is ugly, but it's cool to look at rides like a dream for a stock automobile. Sure it costs too much but who cares. It's not an investment. IT'S A CAR. If you have a boat or a dirt bike, then you know every time you go out and blast with it, you gotta fix something. I have not had to do that yet. I gues I have not pushed it enough. The warranty could be longer, but heck, I'll get another one way before the warranty blows.

This machine sucks gas, has wind noise over 80 mph, catches rocks off the road, has lots of plastic, too many blind spots, is hard to get in and out of, has no room to haul anything except the spare tire, loses speed going up hills, developes rattles over time.....I LOVE THIS THING! It's not a luxury car that wipes your butt for you....IT'S A TOY TO GO OUT WITH THE GUYS AND PLAY IN THE MUD! It's not the best performing machine but many people, including myself, think it's one of the coolest looking. I got the Victory Red Limited and it rocks. It gets the looks, and it's not your everyday soccer mom suv. It makes the statement...yea I got one, now move over.

I love off roading and when I saw the picture of the new H2 I had to go and take a look. After seeing it in person and after a test drive, I have to say that the H2 is not worth the money. It's basically a $52,000 Suburban. The sills and cowl are way too high, cargo space is very limited for a vehicle of its size, it's underpowered, and it gets horrible gas mileage. This is a quote from Car and Driver magazine: "I loved it [the H2] in photos. Then I saw a real one in the, uh, well, "flesh" is not the right word. I saw it in the plastic. Those cake-pan bumps on the hood? Plastic. You can pop 'em off with your fingers. Those black extenders on the ends of the front bumper? Tupperware tuff for those brutal commutes! Inside, the window sills are high. You look at the world through slits. For the first time ever, you see door-sealing rubber being used as a styling element. The message is "functional," get it? Ten man-size socketheads make a big show of securing wispy plastic cladding to the dash." This, about a $52,000 vehicle! A quote from Motor Trend Magazine: "The H2 is big, weighty, expensive, and thirsty. (And it needed a shift into low range to finish a hill climb the Volvo's high-tech AWD scrambled up without drama.)" Imagine off-roading in your H2 and getting passed going up a hill by someone in a Volvo X90. How embarrassing! If you want a big off-roader buy a used Toyota Land Cruiser for about $10,000 add another $5,000-$10,000 in upgrades and you will have one badass machine. Not to mention far more reliable. And with the remaining $30,000 you could buy a Nissan 350Z or a Honda S2000.
