Strength:

Good looks and a smooth quiet ride

Weakness:

cheap bumper

I have'nt had the Passport that long but so far so good. I've had to go to the service center once for a minor computer problem, but I mean it could have been alot worst. The acceleration is very good for an suv and the off road features can get no better on a mid size suv. Its very stylish, I've added mirror tint and 18 inch rims to complete it. Alot of peolpe in my area have Passports and evreybody seems happy with them. I recommend the Passport to suv lovers.

Strength:

fold down seats help to carry materials much easier

Weakness:

recall notifications on 3 separate car faults...possibly a fourth with
the engine rattling

Have been very disappointed with this vehicle...I have received three recall
notifications on it...I have gone to the dealer to have the problems cared for and on three different occasions, they did not have the parts available.
I just recently had the serpentine belt replaced because it was worn out...
The ABS warning light came on last week, I took it in to have it serviced and through miscommunication with the service department, the light is still
on and I am without a vehicle...the engine rattles when you climb moderate
hills and the enterior plastic moldings/coverings are poorly attached..

Strength:

Looks, acceleration, price.

Weakness:

cheap speakers/sound system, a few recalls, runs low on oil when due for an oil change at 3-4000 miles.

I've been really happy with my Passport. I knew I was buying a rebadged Rodeo, who wouldn't? The doors, engine etc say Izuzu. It rides great, looks good and has been very reliable. That's not to say it's perfect ... it needs a better speaker system, I bought the EX 4WD with every option, and that model should have a better sound system! Also, we've had two recalls but they were quickly fixed at my dealer. The gas mileage is good and it handles ok off road, not much ground clearance but that's not what I bought it for anyway. It's also got great pick up, very easy to pass people ... it's the fastest SUV I tested.

I'd much rather have my passport than an explorer or blazer ... 4 runner is a better car, but costs MUCH more to buy w/same options!
