Strength:

Tons of room. Great sound system (EX). Handles like a dream. Fold up rear seats. Tons of cup holders. Great gas mileage for a SUV. Scheduled matience for oil is every 10k instead of 3k.

Weakness:

Could have a passanger arm rest. A keyless entry would be nice as well. They also could have thrown in a roof rack.

What is this? That is what I first asked myself when I saw the element. I was a bit turned off by looks at first. But when I got closer and actually got into the vehicle I instantly feel in love with it. I am a big guy. I am about 6 foot 4 and weigh 250. This car fits me like a glove. There is so much room in this SUV I could not pass it up. I have a 99 Grand Cherokee and I thought that was roomy. If you are looking for a fuel efficent vehicle, with tons of room, and at a resonable price go with the Honda Element.

Strength:

Quiet easy driving. Great handling. All the quality you expect from Honda. Visiblity, ride height, smooth auto transmission. Inside cleans up fast, slush wipes right off. Stereo VOLUME! Oh yeah, hookups for laptops and mp3 player.

Weakness:

Honda cheaps on accessories. Go ahead and buy rack, bungies, sunshade, flaps. As for looks, who really cares; be proud it's not vanilla drab like other SUVs.

Great vehicle to get to slopes for first tracks. Tons of room, can't wait to load bikes (2 mtbs)inside this spring. Tore thru "Blizzard of '03" deep snow with ease. Passed lots of stuck or rolled SUVs.

Model Reviewed: Honda Element EX 2WD

Strength:

Roominess, gas mileage, practicality, drives well, stereo system (on EX model), and ease of getting in or loading.

Weakness:

Could use a V6, but the iVTEC 4 cyl is fine.

Very efficient and practical vehicle. It may look strange but once I actually drove one and saw the vast interior space I was impressed. Handles VERY well although a 6 cyl would make it nicer. Great gas mileage unlike other SUV's. Many people I know have said they think the Element is ugly, but once they have seen it in person they change their mind. Just like myself, you have to see it to appreciate it. Driving it will also change your mind too.

Strength:

Gas mileage, cargo capacity, versatility, space, 4 wheel drive, the look is different than anything else on the road. It's unique. That's appealing.

Weakness:

No standard AC? Where's the V6? Low ground clearance. Back windows don't roll down, but that may be a good thing if you have young ones.

Great, practical, vehicle. Awesome for roadtrips and getting cargo from point A to point B. 4 wheel drive, great mileage, handles well. All around versatile machine.

Strength:

Best handling SUV under $35,000. Excellent handling. Awesome cargo handling and loading flexibility. Oh yeah also,it's a Honda

Weakness:

Honda "nickle & dimes" you with equipment. AC is not included in the low ball price for DX versions. No driver arm rest (option with the EX trim), c'mon, a friggen arm rest. After you get done adding air and stereo, your close to 20 grand. It's the same price as the CRV (but the Element handles better)

I'm very impressed with the cornering limits. I have the DX 4 wheel drive with the 4 speed auto tranny. With the electronic overdrive, acceleration is just ok, but hit the button turning off the overdrive, and the VTECH engine is a lot of fun. When I need instant performance, I just hit the overdrive button off (easier and quicker then shifting).

Strength:

Interior and Exterior room Big feel Good System 4WD I own the only one in my big town Easy to clean Can handle anything you throw at it

Weakness:

Look of the Element Engine Size

This is a great SUV it has the best handling. Other than the look of it (which I think is kinda cool) it is a wonderful SUV. I am 6'6 and the Element gives me more room than any other SUV.
