Strength:
Superb ride and control Nice interior/sound system Great view from all windows Good power(now that inj cleaned) Beautiful Exterior package on Eddie Bauer
Weakness:
Reliability/Poor Manufacturing quality Bought last year with 21K on it. Love it,,However Have had following problems: 1. Shimmy/vibration at highway speeds (Carmax had to eat 4 new tires and 2 new wheels) 2. Rear cup holder came apart(Carmax found missing springs and replaced) 3. Now diagnosing rough idle at stop(Paid Carmax $500 for the 30K tuneup/gas filter/extended fuel injection cleaning)didn't fix problem-Taking back in the morning, prob is a coil pak or IAC/oxy sensors(those are under warranty). THe left catalytic converter rattling when this idle problem occurs(Ford will have to fix as exhaust is under 80K ford warranty) --The tuneup fuel inj cleaning really helped increase power.I am worried as I see so many complaints about the same 10-12 problems, glad I have extended warranty. Also forget Ford tire press specs--I run mine at 30 front 32 rear Similar Products Used: 95 Voyager 94 Suburban 88 Suburban 93 Dakota 87 F150 65 F250( Now that was a TRUCK) |

Great vehicle, BUT BEWARE. Under certain circumstances the vehicle can be shifted from Park without the brake pedal being depressed. And since the accelerator and brake are so close in height and horizontally it is possible to have your foot on the accelarator and shift from park to reverse (or drive.) I happened to me, fortunately it did not result in an accident. My dealer told me that Ford does not have a fix for this problem. |

Expedition EB
Strength:
Much improved ride and power third row seat. Good utility.
Weakness:
Very poor quality, fit and finish. This is my second Expedition. I currently own a 1997 Expedition 4x4 and a new 2003 Expedition EB. While we have enjoyed the utility of the Expedition over the years, the quality of this model has been very poor. The following has been replaced in the first 3 months: - driver side mirror motor - passenger side mirror motor - cruise control servo - rear tail light assembly leaking - wiper arm assemblies - rear driver side door latch and sensor - still not closing correctly - rear coat hanger - cordless DVD headphones - did not work - my model did not support the wireless headphones. - power memory seats seem to have a mind of their own I should have ran when my sales rep was fired 1/2 way through the purchase. IM A PERSON WHO LIKES TO HAVE MY VEHICLE CLEAN AT ALL TIMES BUT CANT BECAUSE OF THE BREAK DUST THAT HAPPENS BY THE NEXT DAY AFTER YOU JUST CLEANED IT THE DAY BEFORE. THIS IS THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE. WELL SEE A COUPLE OF MONTHS FROM NOW. |

hit's the spot just right, not as much luxury as the competition, but just right for the price
Weakness:
not here. great family car, very good gas mileage for its size, and for us the 4.6 is just enough if needed more power we would have bought a ferrari, overall nice, classi and safe for the bump's and misfortunes. Similar Products Used: ramcharger, blazer, bronco, cherokee, suburban |

Expedition EB
Strength:
Roomy, powerful. Handles nice.
Weakness:
Vibration in front end!! Brake dust is terrible. Come on Ford, you can do better! We have owned 5 expeditions. We bought this 03 in March. Since then it has been in the shop 14 days, codes were bad, gas cap broken, two sunroofs, and bad vibration/noise in front end. They can't fix the front end. Admit they have duplicated it. Mirrors won't hold settings, no light into console, and fold down in middle seat has no cup holders. Not well organized. We are now turning it in as a lemon. I won't buy another one and I can't recommend it. Buy a Sequoia. Similar Products Used: Tahoe, Suburban. |
