Strength:
All my boys can fit in it. Great for the weekend excursions! (bar trips, camping, towing the boat, whatever)
Weakness:
As everyone else says, its a gas hog, but my previous vehicle was a '77 monte carlo, and at least when I step on the gas in the tahoe, the tires will go up in smoke. Always wanted a Tahoe, Graduated, got a job, got a Tahoe. I will never look back! Similar Products Used: 95 jimmy |

2 door Tahoe
Strength:
visibility, acceleration, quality, great for towing or offroad.
Weakness:
Sticker price over $30k and it came with vinyl mats. (FYI: if you buy this truck thinking it will be good on gas, you are retarded) It is SO worth it! This is my second 2 door Tahoe (the other was a '96 that I traded in when I bought this one new). I bought it because it was the last year of the 2 doors. It is the silver pewter color with a brushbar on front and taillight covers on back. LS version with tinted windows, K&N filter, vent shades, Rockfard Fosgate amps and 12 inch sub. I get comments from people about once a week about how nice of a truck it is. They always ask if they still make em. I recently got into an accident (hit a tree head on) and was so happy to be in such a safe vehicle. I was able to get almost 68,00 miles on the original tires and that is the only thing I have done to this truck since I bought it (other than usual maintenance). I will be trading it in for a new Z71 soon, and I will miss this truck dearly. Similar Products Used: '96 2 door Tahoe, '95 2 door Jimmy, '89 Blazer (big one) |

Strength:
Good looking leather seating package and turning radius is outstanding.
Weakness:
Gas Hog. The new Chevy Tahoe 2003 is a dream come true. It is quite roomy, handles well on the road and eats up the highway. Good job Chevy!!!!! Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Size and safety, comfortable interior
Weakness:
Gas mileage, but mine has oversize tires, older 5.7 L V-8 needs more power. Newer Vortec is supposed to be much better. If I can judge a new Tahoe by this one with 98,000 miles on it, it should be the best vehicle on the road. Bought this one with 96,700 miles, and it drives and rides like brand new. Beautiful inside and out, and drives much smaller than it is. Great vehicle! Similar Products Used: 1993 GMC Sierra Pickup Truck |

Strength:
Roomy great seating nice veiw and easy to works great for long trips and all my fishing equipment fits very nice in the back.
Weakness:
I wish the LS would have come with duel AC front and back This is a very nice truck, nice ride lots of room and great ride i am the second owner i bought with only 58000 mile on it i have had it for more then a year and a half and only has 64380 miles on it now, and i did a car fax and it had only been to the shop for regular services so not bad at all. But after a week with it the o2 sencor had to be replaced but thats been it. I did put shorty headers and 70 series flowmaster, throttle body and KN filter system and it runs MUCH MUCH better and stronger my next step is a great set of wheels but anyway its still a great truck to drive and work on great job Chevy. Chevy Tahoe LT 4 Door
Strength:
Huge engine, great acceleration, comfy interior, tons of cargo space, many places to store various items, looks great, pretty fast (electronically limited at 100 mph). has done everything i ask it to do.
Weakness:
Only minor ones: the stock tires look WAY too small (upgrade to 31x10.50x15, as these are larger and still fit without any modifications), fuel economy (fairly decent compared to a friend that gets about 10 with his Chevy 2500 crew cab 4x4), no 4x4 on my model (would be the ultimate truck if it were a K1500 tahoe) Drives like a DREAM!!! Came to me with 76000 miles on it, now has 91500 miles. Had to replace intake gasket (revving rpm's too high when mudding) but that wasn't much of a problem. Driver's seat feels great. Would sleep in it if i could. Dual Flowmaster put on, gives better sound and better gas mileage. Also have a CB hardwired in, along with a radar detector. Easy to make modifications or repair. Chevrolet Tahoe
Strength:
Powerfull engine, fair fuel mileage, seems handles well.
Weakness:
Lack of storage. No where to put personal items. This is the worst new vehicle I have ever owned. It has been in the shop 23 times in less that 6 months. Everything from wiring problems (heater fan not shutting off) to noisy input shaft to front diff. and Trans slipping, rear wipper jumps when fog lights turned on. Power steering leaking out of sector shaft...and on and on... |

Strength:
The truck itself... power, great ride, plenty of room.
Weakness:
Gas... 15-18 mpg before lift kit and tires, 13-14 now. Thats my fault. My 1997 2wd, 4-Door Tahoe was a hand me down about 2 years ago. I love this thing 2nd only to my wife. It was purchased brand new in 1997. Regular maintenance (especially transmission fluid and filter, every 20,000 miles) and it still runs like a charm. 110,000 miles with no major repairs. The only problems were due to a gas tank full of sugar! Not Chevy's fault! Chevy did fix that damage under warranty (over $6000). I put a lift kit on it and get even more compliments than before! I love this truck and everything about it, I will probably be buried in it! Similar Products Used: 3 S-10 Blazers |

Strength:
Great looks, ride, and overall performance. Plenty of occupant and cargo room.
Weakness:
Gas milage not the greatest, but this is not a 4 cyl. sample vehicle either. After searching and searching, we decided to purchase a 2001 4x4 Tahoe LT. We chose to get a slightly used one(purchased in mid 2002)rather than pay for the depreciation. We are very satisfied with our Tahoe. Very comfortable ride, plenty of room, and dependable on snow covered roads. Our children are just as satisfied with their ride and room. Similar Products Used: Durango, Blazer, Explorer |

Tahoe LS - 4 door
Strength:
Roominess, power, smooth ride and comfort.
Weakness:
Soft ride, not as responsive as I would like. Original tires were awful. Get Michelins! An able vehicle for a large SUV. The 5.7L engine is a real selling point. The truck has lots of power at all speeds. Easily accelerates even when passing vehicles at above 70 mph. Very room interior. We typically drive locally and day trips of several hundred miles. It handles well on highway and in city. The ride is a bit soft for my taste, but this makes for smooth highway travel. Low road noise. We have the dual A/C which works effectively, even in the hot Texas weather. We also have the towing package which adds extra cooling for the tranny. So far we have had to replace the alternator, and there have been a few little trim problems. Engine and tranny have worked well - now at 55,000 miles. I drive aggressively but still get 15 to 16 around town and 17 to 18 on the highway. To me this is reasonable for the size of the vehicle. Similar Products Used: 98 F150. Minivans. |
