Strength:

Has been a nice road car. No real road noises. Nice interior. Like the road visibility from sitting up high. Pretty good acceleration. Adequate storage in the cargo area

Weakness:

- Typical GM product. Terrible transmission. Replaced at 56K. Having a car for around two years and then having to spend $3K on a new transmission has really soured me on this car and GM products in general.

- Paid about $30K for this vehicle. It is loaded but repair cost is way to high. Not as dependable a vehicle as I was hopeing for. Don't buy it if you intend to use as a road car and hope to put high mileage on it. Would be a nice second car but for that much money, there are better alternatives.

Strength:

Strong engine that can really pull (I have a 4000 lbs boat). Nice exterior looks.

Weakness:

sloppy handling (I fixed this with after market shocks), rattles & squeeks from every corner, cheap plastic used on interior, exterior spare tire rack falling off, high maintenance cost and frequent trips to the repair shop.

I really wish I could like this car but it consistenly lets me down. I have 56,000 miles and I have already replaced fuel pump, power steering, pinion seals, oil lines, universal joint, had it in body shop because drivers door keeps dropping down to where I have to lift it to close it. Friends who ride in it wonder if it is safe because of all the rattles it has.

Weakness:

This vehicle is very cheaply constructed. The A/C compressor was replaced with 500 miles on it. It dies randomly when put in reverse and has yet to be fixed. This thing rattles everywhere due to the cheap plastic used all over (especially bad door and dash rattles). Took it to the mountains and had to stuff coats/blankets around the doors because they leaked so much air we were freezing, with the heater on. The rear windshield wiper/washer has been replaced and the rear door switch too. Currently it's in the shop for suspected rust on the tailgate and transmission or exhaust problems. This was our first "new" vehicle and we regret we spent our hard earned money on it. We're looking into the lemon law to get out of this truck if the dealer can't make good on it. Don't buy a Chevy blazer. They are cheap vehicles with no respect or concern for quality.

Poor quality and craftsmanship.

Strength:

Great engine, it had 170,000 miles on it when it was stolen and the only thing I ever replaced was the water pump, plugs and belts.

Weakness:

The most annoying squeaks and rattles from the rear window and tailgate. Didn't care for the interior, too much plastic. A/C heater control cluster cracked because it was made of cheap platic.

I bought the Blazer new in 89 and drove it for over eleven years. I have mixed feelings about it because it developed rattles and squeaks that drove me nuts. I could fix them for a while, but they always came back. The engine was great, good power and dependable overall. I didn't care much for the interior of the Blazer.

Recently purchased a '94 Pathfinder and it is alot more solid, but has less power than the Blazer.

Strength:

Fully Loaded, Comfortable Drive

Weakness:

EGR valve, Exhaust System, Transmission, MPG

This was the worst vehicle I have ever owned! The Exaust system and the entire entrails had to be replaced due to excessive carbon deposits traced to the EGR valve. I used premium Aamoco gasoline and treated this car at every turn. THEN! after I thought that the worst had been done the 4L60E Transmission gave up the ghost at 85k. Looking back on over 20 years of driving and being a recieptophile, I looked back. NEVER and I mean NEVER have I had a vehicle that was so poorly engineered. GM should recall the entire production line before some peeople band together for a class action law suit against them for this horrendous product. So after I drive this bulk of pressed steel into the Atlantic I am looking at Japanese. Thanks a lot GM and AAW. Great JOB!

This is a good sizes suv, great for towing a big trailer, very comfortable
This blazer has the looks, very fast and strong engine

Weakness:

A lot, wind noise from dash board, very unreliable suv. I had problems with this suv from 3 days after I bought it

It Sucks. Broke down 3 days after I bought it. Towed to dealer to reset computer chip. Only 29,000 when I bought it 2 and a half years ago.
Replaced alternator, egr valve, battery, fuel injectors. plus many more problems. I had it towed about 6 times. This suv sucks, would never buy another chevy again. I have 5 months left on the extended warranty. I think I will buy a moped.

Looks smooth and good.

Weakness:

Stays in the shop way TOO OFTEN!

I have had nothing but trouble with the SUV since I purchased it. It was the vehicle that I wanted to purchase, but if I knew that a would have a headache along with it I would have purchased Excedrin also. I've had nothing but problems with my brakes, service engine soon light, which they could never detect any problem with that darn light, until it was out of warranty. Now, I have no other motivate but to believe that it was related to my transmission since now that I was miles away from home with my family for a death that occurred in my family, we got stranded on the freeway! Talking about an inconvience. Now, at this time I can not really afford to get rid of it or keep it if I continue to have majors repairs as such. I really liked it at first until I had it in the shop more times than I was actually driving it. Since, this was my only vehicle I am left in a bad situation. I would love to own a TOYOTA 4-RUNNER. I bet I would not be having half of these problems that I am having now with the SUV that I own. I would not wish this headache on my enemey. After looking through all these reviews I see that others have went through what I have and now I do not feel so alone.
