Where do I get started.........Purchased the truck in 11/99 with 56,000 miles about 6 months later the ABS light comes on and the fuel injector goes. The ABS will cost $1,200 to repair not covered under warranty or recall. I pay $50 deductible on a GM warranty. Since I had the truck I have had the following replaced: Central port fuel injector three times, EGR valve twice, catalytic converter and lower intake manifold. Then about a month ago I get a letter from GM acknowledging a problem with the EGR and fuel injectors on 95 Blazers. They issued a warranty on the parts but gave a 7 year / 75,000 mile condition well I would like to know how many people have under 75,000 miles on a product from six years ago plus I purchased it used. GM will not honor anything. It drives good in snow and off-road but in general it stinks. Similar Products Used: None |

Service engine light is on and off several times a week. Driver side door won''t close all the way. Decided to go to American made Automobile. What a disappointment. 10 months into the lease had to have a complete piston job completed on engine. 1 yr later broken ball joint on drivers side while driving on highway. Car had received regular maintenance and oil changes and lubes and because I travel a lot they claim the miles was the reason it broke (80,000). Cost me over 500.00 dollars to repair, and this was just a 2 yr old car. For a 34000 dollar car I think I have a lemon and find that the explanation given was ludicrous. I called the customer service number ans gotthe run around. I would not recommend this car to anyone and will definitely go back to Nissan as soon as I can get rid of this truck. Strength:
Interior has lasted well and is relatively quiet. Paint job seems top quality and vehicle has yet to truly rust. Even in spots where the paint has chipped it has not rusted.
Weakness:
Poor diagnostic system, says one thing when another is the cause. Requires more intelligent mechanic but many want to read code/repair, which is costly. Poor quality fuel pumps/system design used by either GM or the local dealership. I have replaced 3 fuel pumps so far and the fourth is waiting to be installed now. Ignition key hard to turn sometimes since about 20,000mi. Interior buzzer sounds whiny sometimes since about 20,000mi. ABS is bad in that it releases brakes too long when you hit a bump in my opinion, but a recall was done so maybe its better now, but try and find a dealer who is _happy_ to only perform recall work... Eats brake pads, needs new pads about every 6 months. This vehicle is driven by my wife who is not hard on brakes. Wiper sometimes does not work, I think it has a recall as well. Mirror Switch failed after about 60,000mi Driver door lock motor failed around 40,000mi Liftglass pnumatic assist thingy no longer assists ~50,000mi All 1995 Blazer''s may not have had these issues so just consider them with the reccommendations of other Blazer owners. Price / convenience ratio is horrible. Must go to shop at least 3-4 times / year. 1995 was an inbetween year for the blazer it seems and I would certainly not reccommend this vehicly to anyone. When considering this vehicly, add 3 years to the age it claims to be. Similar Products Used: None |

The metal? I dunno what the strengths are except maybe that the engine puts out a adequate amount of power for its mellow tone.
Weakness:
The sway!! It rolls more than a soccer ball and the suspention sucks. Everything is plastic! The safety tests suck too. It got a POOR on almost all crash tests. Did I mention the Sway! Ha ha ha ha the chevy blazer would have to be the worst SUV ever made. It rattles like a snake and has more recalls then a fast food restaurant. Seriously thought I would not recommend it to anyone but maybe its just the 1995 ones. Similar Products Used: A 86 blazer which was pretty good cause it was a fullsize. |

Strength:
Engine, transmission, overall capability.
Weakness:
None. First, I want to say my vehicle has been most enjoyable in the time I''ve owned it. EVERYTHING works, there are ZERO sqeaks or rattles, and it does the jobs required of it very well. Secondly, I want to say that I get sick and tired of all the whiny little piss-ants who want to fuss and moan about every little problem they do encounter when something happens with their vehicle. If any of these people drive like most of these nuts in Florida do, no wonder your car is falling apart. Everyday, on the toll roads and interstates it''s like a drag race out of the toll plazas, and a floor-and-slam-on-the-brakes race between traffic lights. I tow a boat with a great deal of freqeuncy, and have had no problems with anything, even after many miles of washboard dirtroads, gravel, mud, and bad pavement. Also for instance, how many import SUVs or pickups do you seen in a heavy duty use environment? None, because they can''t handle the loads. Sure they''re great for putzing around town, hauling groceries, kids, etc. But having to really work, they don''t have the power, torque, or durability necessary to compete. Strong motor, great styling, very useful design.
Weakness:
Front end is junk. Ball joints and wheel bearings are considered disposible by GM. Power windows go out like bad fuses. Speakers sound like crap. RATTLES!!!! I never knew that car interiors could be so loud!!!! When the windows are down at 70 MPH it''s finally peaceful if you like wind noise. Should have kept my jeep but it wasn''t kid-friendly. Typical weak American product. If the union boys want us to buy American they should build good products. From now on the rising sun will be in my garage. Rattles like a box of marbles, power accessories have no dependability. Front end real sloppy. 45,000 miles and I''m ready to trade it off even though it''s paid for and is great for my family''s needs. Similar Products Used: 93 Jeep Wrangler |

Strength:
Great power, which cannot reach the tires due to poor transmission design. Comfortable seats you cannot enjoy because of all the rattling sound. It looked good from the outside-lets just say it was a big piece of sh!t in a nice wrapper. The biggest strength of all has to be how sh!tty it is because that was what finally made me buy a foreign SUV. Best decision of my life.
Weakness:
Extremely poor American quality. I am sick of paying for garbage. Poor service. JUNK!!!!!! See summary. This vehicle was a complete disappointment, and has caused me to buy a foreign car. Everything....and I mean everything rattles. It rattles so bad I was slowly being drove insane. Everything in the interior is cheap ass plastic, with classic GM engineered clips that DO NOT work!!! They have huge plastic door panels that have plastic speaker grills in them. I consider myself to be above average as far as intelligence, but even a complete imbecile cretin of a moron could figure out that this is going to rattle. I was cleaning my Blazer in hopes of selling the piece of sh!t and went through 15 Armoral wipes trying to shine up all the plastic. The dash is so cheap looking I thought I was sitting on a Big Wheel instead of in an expensive SUV. I bought this vehicle used, and was smart enough to get extended warranty. I had a water leak shortly after I got it and air got in the system so there was also an annoying gurgling sound too. I went to my local Chevrolet dealer where it was purchased, and was astounded to find a high school auto class. 90% of their "technicians" looked like this was their first job out of high school. Needless to say the service sucked! After they fixed it there was still the annoying gurgling sound (along with all the rattling) and the damn thing still leaked. I had a $100 deductible on my warranty, and they wanted me to pay another $100 to fix it again! They said the water pump went out and it was a coincidence. What a bunch of bull! Only after my wife threatened to write the Better Business Bureau, did they say I didn''t have to pay. The guy said "we will be one of the good guys and do this fix for free". And I''m thinking if he''s a good guy now, he must of really been a dick before. Next came the clunking noise every time I put the thing in drive. The same clunking noise when I put it in reverse. The funny noise it made when I stepped on the gas. The funny noise it made when I let off the accelerator and stepped on it again. When I went 65 mph everything shook. The wind noise was intense also. I had to shout in order to talk to my wife. I couldn''t imagine taking this thing off road. It rattles so much on a road! Dodge is the biggest piece of junk you can buy. Ford is also a piece of junk. Chevy was my last hope. I did have two Camaros I enjoyed very much, but the Blazer was the straw that broke the camel''s back. I bought a Toyota Hig Similar Products Used: A 12 year old riding lawnmower & a Big Wheel. |

Strength:
POWER. Love that new in-line 6-cylinder. More HP than ALL V-8''s in or out of its class.
Weakness:
Haven''t found any yet. The 2002 Trailblazer is awesome. At 270 HP, there is NOTHING better. A great ride with all the perks you could ever want. I am able to buy GM products at wholesale cost, so it wasn''t near as pricy as other SUV''s. Similar Products Used: Chevy Scottsdale, Pontiac Grand Am, Olds Cutlass Supreme |
