Strength:

Great sounding exhaust
Smooth power delivery
Looks I get
Jealousy i get from my friends
two trunks, albeit two small trunks

Weakness:

Getting beat by a cheaper S2000
Sound system doesnt sound like it worth 55k
Luxury tax
Jealousy i get from other people
where the hell is my cupholder, huh?

I bought this over cars such as m3 and Supra because I thought it'd be exclusive. yeah yeah s2000 blah blah, but that's a HONDA, and this is a PORSCHE! We'll I've been seeing alot of other Boxsters around so it sucks. Once at a parking lot I got a guy from a LT-1 Corvette walking around my car checking it out. thats cool. The seats are roomy and comfortable. The sound system needs a good 12" sub. Going top down rules! Handling is superb, and I love the exhaust at around 6000RPM. WHERE IS MY CUPHOLDER!!!! The dealer has a little cupholder u clip on but it blocks the ventilation, sucks.

Strength:

Boxster S: the perfect roadster, the perfect sportscar. engine, braking, handling, responsiveness. It has everything as is as fun to drive as *anything* out there.

Weakness:

Absolutely nothing wrong with the S. The "regular" Boxster could use the additional power.

about $55k. the best money you will every spend. I highly recommend the S option, and it's definitely worth the extra cost, especially since you get a bunch of additional options along with the glorious engine.

Many world-class sports cars from Germany, Italy, Japan and the US. The S holds its own against all of them, no question.

Strength:

This car handles as if it is on rails. It is a moving piece of sculpture. It can be driven as an everyday car, but over 5000 rpm it leaves any thoughts of being ordinary behind.

Weakness:

I still cannot figure out how to clean the rear window.

40,000 used. This car is not for anyone, as it is a stiff race car, that is legal. That said, I would recommend it to everyone as an extra car.

Strength:

Handling at speed is great and smooth.
Cornering is tight. Looks. Makes you feel good when you are driving it. More fun than the 911.

Weakness:

Rear window needs alot of maintanence. Horsepower linited by marketing. Hard to carry my bikes!

Paid 45000.00 after discount and would do it again in a second. One of the best buys I ever made!

Strength:

Ride, Steering feel, looks.

Weakness:

weak engine compare to its class.
Manual shifter is not as smooth as Honda's or BMW's.
Engine vibration penetrating the seat and steering wheel.

$43,985.
If you have only one car and has to be a roadster.
This is the one.
If you want another roadster for fun to drive and still have one other car (sedan, minivan, etc.) then get the Honda S2000.

Honda S2000 is superior after a chance to drive one.

Model Reviewed: Boxter

Strength:

Power, Strength, Agility. Like a good running back, the Boxter has all the tools you need. Unlike 911's of the past, Porshe has come up with a car that is not only fun on the tight twisties, but you can also take it to the grocery store.

On the road, the handling is phenominal. Understeer or oversteer are simply controlled by your right foot. More throttle to control understeer, less to control oversteer. The benefits of a mid-engine design are obvious the first time you take a hairpin turn at full throttle.

This is the best car I've ever driven.

Weakness:

Convertable top means poor rear and side visibility when up. Plastic rear window needs to be cleaned regularly.

Great car. Worth every penny.

Paid $54,000 OTD

Strength:

It looks really cool and gives you a special feeling. Handles nice and doesn't kill you with overdone speed. Everyone thinks you are some kind of movie star........ :)

Weakness:

UUmmmmm... there aren't any really i got what i expected

Ok, a lot of people who did reviews have said that their Boxster S doesn't stack up well against that stupid Honda S2000. Lemme tell you something, my b/f's friend has one and i kick his butt all the time, i guess you are just incompetent racers.... But seriously, if you want a big race car then you should have remembered that this is a light driving car that unless i'm mistaken isn't even GT. Next time get a Carrera or a Turbo, and if you don't have the money then be quiet and be happy with what you have! :0
I drive this all the time to school and i have no complaints, and i know what you're gonna say next, "But you don't race it, you can't tell me it's fast enough or has enough hp." SSSIiiiGGGGhhhhh.......... you guys....
You are driving a Porsche, remember that! How fast do you guys wanna go anyway? Mine isn't exactly slow.....

Strength:

The car offers superior performance and of course the Porsche nameplate

Weakness:

the plastic rear window, no cupholder.... just minor stuff

I'd have to agree w/ Jamie (whom I know pesonally........gee, i hope i'm not the friend w/ the S2000......) this car is an easy choice for a driving enthusiast w/ a 50K cap. The car has a nice range of abilities considering it's price and offers the additional prestige associated with driving a Porsche. The only problems are small things like a cupholder and the retarded rear window... Two points I'd like to make are... 1) I drive cars professionally and as thus consider myself to be somewhat of an expert on the subject(I'm not THAT big headed), I own a Boxster S and I am very happy with all of it's features. It truly is a great sports car. 2)I have owned and race many "competitors" for the porsche. I find it superior on almost every level. Plus I'm 22, if im this young and i can enjoy all aspects of this car then im sure all you yuppies won't have a problem.....

(2000 Model) - The 2000 porsche boxster has superb handling capabilities and takes curves with little or no ease at all. The increased horsepower is a pleasant surprise, and the sound system will blow you away!!

Model Reviewed: Boxster S

Strength:

-Coolest top mechanism on the market
-Brakes
-Decent highway gas mileage
-Best looking convertible out there IMHO
-Not a bad long distance cruiser IMHO
-Digitally enhanced stereo much better than stock, but still...
-Flexibility encreased via removeable hardtop

Weakness:

-Center seat covers keeps coming undone as the lumbar system over inflates. I've taken it to the local dealer twice to have this fixed, and the problem remains. Seems like the "replacement problem" for the top mechanism issues of the past, which I haven't encountered.
-Takes a long time to break in
-Opaque plastic rear window on softtop
-Standard interior looks rather chintzy, go with the leather option
-It's a little too obvious that one is paying for the name, but alas, there really is no substitute
-Steering wheel height not adjustable

Received this car last September- with removeable hardtop, heated seats, and stability management system it served as adequate winter weather transportation. Now that summer is here I've really been appreciating the car in convertible mode. Drives along the Oregon coast and through the Cascades are auto-escapism at its best. Unfortunately, there's a noticeable improvement in quality when I climb out of the Boxster and climb into my '99 Audi A6.
