Really fun to drive, 4 cupholders, 2 phones jacks, 10 Speaker Monsoon Sound System is awesome, comfortable seats, great horsepower, gets tons of stares, great traction control system..i could go on and on....
Weakness:
No trunk space with T-Tops in there..no leg room in passanger side..eats gas like theres no tomorrow, I pay $245 a month with a totally clean record. (It's worth it though) Oh My God. This is the best car ever built. I bought my 2000 Pontiac Trans Am in June of 2002 with 25,000 miles. Its September with 30,000 miles now and I am totally satisfied. I've always wanted a Trans Am just for the looks, then when i went to test drive it I completely fell in love. I have the V-8, 305 hspr. I wish i would have gotten the WS-6 model but it was thousands more. It has a rep of not driving well in the rain..well i have to disagree..i have never slid and sometimes i drive crazy in the rain. The automatic "low trac" light comes on if the traction control system slips...this helps a lot. If you are looking for an expensive great car...buy a Trans Am. Similar Products Used: I had a 96' Nissan 200Sx SE before my Trans Am. Very reliable car but no speed. |

Strength:
Handles great on dry roads, gets pretty good gas mileage (around 30 highway and 26 city), looks great and always gets stairs, pretty quick on top end. only revving up 1900rpms at 70mph.
Weakness:
Cramped up interior (no leg room), bad handling on wet roads hydoplanes badly, slow pickup on low end. Its a shame they're going to quit making these babies. I love my 1999 firebird. Although I would really like the v-8 but cant afford it. The car has not givin me any problems so far and it has 60,000 miles on it. I've added flow master exhaust along with the K&N air filter but havent found much improvement other than the little rumble of the 200hp v-6. |

handles and drives very nice, accelearates well, looks great, no major problems thus far.
Weakness:
not very comfortable for passengers, small backseats, hard to reach some parts under the hood I own a 1993 Firebird and it's been simply fabulous. Its got 100,000 miles on it and it still blows away many others. I had flowmasters put on and i also added a K&N intake and a chip. She really flys now. Fast, Styling and Design, American Made, Great sound system(Monsoon), get many compliments.
Weakness:
Can eat gas pretty bad, hard to park sometimes, Paint is good, but not as shiny as it could be. I purchased my 1997 Pontiac Firebird about 6 months ago. So far its been a good car. Pretty fast, good accerlation for a V-6 Automatic. Nice Styling and get lots of compliments. Not that bad in Winter either. No major problems, just little things here and there. A great American car! I've added some aftermarket stuff like Flowmaster Exhuast and K&N Filter. They really help the car's excerlation out! Similar Products Used: 1994 Chevorlet Camaro |

Strength:
Quiet unless you want to bury the needle. Looks great, still turns heads. Fuel efficiency. Features are great, steering wheel radio controls, power everything, keyless. Overall great ownership experience.
Weakness:
After a few years body squeaks and rattles begin to appear. Paint quality could be better. Had a few very minor electrical probs with the ABS. This is a great entry into the sports car world. I have owned my FB for over five years now and I still love it. It's only a six banger, which I know you hard core V-8er's will hate, but what a car. Very zippy, great gas mileage, I'm at about 35K and I'm getting about 29MPG. I would strongly recommend this car to anyone who wants a good balance of power, looks, but doesn't want to take a second job for gas and insurance. Strength:
Paint, color( pearlized paint - green/ blue and in shade purple ( don't see too many like her,) how she handles, has speed, comfortable to drive, insurance is pretty reasonable
Weakness:
Passenger side ( the hump in the floor- makes it uncomfortable for the passenger especially if he's male, had to change heater core at 100,000 kms, think maybe the transmission is slipping, hatchback window- molding has came off- water leaks in I love my firebird. She's comfortable to drive, handles extremely well and she's got speed ( even though she's a v-6 automatic! ) Real eye catcher! Pretty good in the winter- blizzak tires and 100 pounds of sand it trunk! Similar Products Used: 1989- beretta gt - alright for a 89 with lots of kms |

Wow.. Fast. Best value for horse power in my opion. Many choices for performance upgrades.
Weakness:
Paint Paint Paint!!! Insurance.. ahhh. Yuck. When I bought it, I was a 19 yr old male w/10 pts on record. I was paying over $225 a month w/collision, comp, liab, w/$200 deduct. for a car I paid $6500. I had to have that stuff too b/c I borrowed money from a credit union. I also shopped around for that quote. I won't even tell you about what other quotes I had. I bought my 91 Formula Firebird WS6 L98 350 TPI about 3 yrs ago. I bought it w/58K miles on it.The car basically had everything on it but leather. PW, PDL, PM, Dual cats, PTrunk, Ice cold A/C, PAntenna, and even a light on the rear view mirror w/ on/off switch. The car was beautiful and not a single thing wrong with it. I had 255/50/ZR16 Falken Ziex 502 on rear and 245/50/ZR16 on front.(awesome affordable tires) With street tires and not being able to ever grip off the line,(I'd have to feather it so as not to just sit there and spin) my best posted time was 14.031 @98.98 mph in the 1/4 mile. On average I'd run around 14.2-14.3 in the 1/4. That's a motor w/NO major mods. (Just KN Air filter, Flowmaster 80 series muffler and misc stuff)I totally loved the car up until last year. It seems that my nice metallic navy blue paint doesn't want to stay on my car anymore. It literally flakes off leaving the nice off white primer showing. It started in one spot, then another, then another. I have been told that there was something with GM paint meeting new regulations or something. Long story short,I'm selling it for $3900 w/89K miles on it. I'll miss the power, but not the paint... Similar Products Used: 1984 Firebird 305 4bbl. -I honestly had rolled over 150K miles with this car until I sold it for what I paid, $500 at 110K miles. It looked like crap but it was a champ. I only needed to rebuild carb, |

Trans Am Coupe
Strength:
1) Speed and Power: you can be going 50mph, hit the gas and still snap your head back. The torque is unbelievable. 2) Appearance: this car turns heads everywhere it goes. Definitely an attention getter should you like that. 3) Cost: Looks, speed, style, power for under 30k brand new (a 2002 fully loaded TA still around 29k and has 325hp now!)
Weakness:
1) Insurance: with this much HP under the hood, you better be ready for some seriously high premiums 2) Misc Build Quality: The guts of the car are great (engine, tranny, etc.) but a lot of knick knack problems are frequent after 60k miles. Headlamp motors burnout, window switch breaks, speaker blew, etc. Little problems but still annoying and beware of those headlamp motors, they are about $150 a piece to replace. You'll be hard pressed to find a better bang for your buck. It is a beautiful yet agressive looking car with performance capabilities that match it's appearance. You have to get into the Vette and up categories for a faster car. The torque will simply blow you away. Can you imagine already going 70mph, hitting the gas and instantly flying by someone else who is going 70mph also. That is what I love about this car, there is always power available. I cannot overstate that fact. If you like unbelievable speed and aggressive looks, the Trans Am is for you. If you are subtle and understated, stay away from this car. As a Car and Driver once said "Think of the Trans Am as a missle with wheels". Similar Products Used: Acura Integra: Great car but not really even in the same class as the Trans Am. It feels like riding on a snail in comparison. Camaro: Same speed and power but I personally feel the Camaro is ugly. |

Strength:
Power, steering, acceleration, and speed. Can withstand a lot a punishment.
Weakness:
The interior was cheaply made. The dashboard is made from a flemsy plastic and so is the compartment between the seats. I've just recently got this car from my father. It's my first car. Having a car like this as your first car is not too safe, but I'm responsible. I like the steering it has, power and sound. I sometimes just start it up just to listen to it. We've had to fix a few things under the hood, but it's a great car for sitting in our driveway for about two years. I'm still mad at my dad for not taking car of it. Similar Products Used: Noe |
