Strength:
Great engine design, and sharp looking especially after lowering it and a set of custom wheels. Lots of power and still keeps up with the other newer sportscars.
Weakness:
Very expensive when the car breaks down. Parts are not cheap (i.e. new a/c system which failed in 1996) and hard to find qualified mechanics to work on her. Also, very heavy which puts it at a disadvantage when racing against lighter cars like an RX-7. Traction in rain is horrendous, thus the 2 accidents. You need a deep pocket for repairs! I purchased this car used in 92. The car was a lease vehicle from New York and more than likely had been in an accident. That's fine because I have had 2 accidents with it myself. Probably one of the best sports cars out of Japan, it has many great features built into it from Nissan's racing experience. I have done extensive upgrades to mine, but it was a fast car to begin with. It still gets lots of looks, but it's so damn expensive when she breaks down. (I.e., crank angle sensor, oxygen sensors, knock sensor, Hicas computer, power steering hose leak, a/c replacement, etc.) I still love owning a sportscar, but I wouldn't do this again. Strength:
Handling, looks, performance, interior layout, engine (especially the twin turbo), Nissan quality, reliability.
Weakness:
Cost of repairs or parts (but that goes with any forien car) This is the second 300zx I've owned, and this is a car that I could never get tired of. It still brings a smile to my face every time I sit in it or especially when I mash the gas pedal down. My first Z I bought in 1999, I drove it 60k miles, and sold it in 2003 for the same price I purchased it for! These cars are great at holding their value. Both of the Z's I've owned have given me minimal problems. I have drove VR-4's and Supra Turbo's and would still prefer my 300zx over both. FAST, STYLE, SEX APPEAL, HANDLING
Weakness:
PUNY STOCK EXHAUST, Don't spend the money on stillen or borla, just take those mufflers off and put a pair of chrome tips. The 300zx is the pinacle of a teenage sports car. I am 16 and my dad just bought my a NA. Yes it's not as fast as the TWIN TURBO. But still is very fast and will burn any honda racer out there. I have taken off the girly stock mufflers and ran straight pipe, and i have never heard a V6 sound so good. It seriously sounds like a drage car.(I've already received 3 tickets for noise violations) Similar Products Used: 1973,1980,1992 Corvette 1965 GTO 1970 442 |

Strength:
-Economical for a sports car. Doesn't pig out on gas. -Is less expensive to fix than the 90's models -There is tons of room for mods with this car. -It looks and performs great -Fun car to drive
Weakness:
-Some repairs may be a little pricey -If it is well maintained, then there is nothing to worry about I have the 300ZX Turbo. It has 135k km on it and it still runs like a top. The car is fast, it handles very well, and it is a lot of fun to drive. Mine is a 2seater with t-tops. From my experience, there isn't much of a back seat in the 2 by 2's anyways, so go with the 2 seater. If you want a sports car for a good price, then the 300ZX is the thing to get. |

Strength:
Styling, performance, stability, and comfort
Weakness:
Base on my experience, the car needs genuine parts otherwise you will notice the performance difference. Since day one when I drove it off the dealer's lot 12 years ago up to now the car never disappointed me. The look, the handling, and the performance are superb. There is no comparison with other sport cars at this price range. The car has 120K miles but the dawn thing is still very responsive and fun to drive. Similar Products Used: RX7 |

Weakness:
The color is ticket red. My second one, first was a 1990 model and then traded for the 1993. Car was at the time time a true sports car for the dollar spent. A true "head turner". Today the car still gets the looks. Only have 65K on it and have had no repairs other than regular scheduled preventive maintenance. I've looked at the 350Z and can't part withthis one. Very nice design, fast, powerful, good handling, good brakes. But the best thing is the look of this machine.
Weakness:
not that roomy inside, decent leg room.Hard to drive in the wet and snowy weather. Well where do i start this car is beautiful, fast, powerful and good value. The car looks like it could take off and fly.I love this car.I've fitted a front and back spoiler and the car looks like as if its from the future. One of the best sport cars on the street. Strength:
Handling, speed, pick-up, style, not mention the chicks
Weakness:
Crappy excuse for a back seat, but who really cares, it's a bloody sports car Well my previous car was just a mere 1988 Honda Integra, my first, treated me just OK. But I had always wanted a 300ZX since I had an awareness for cars, obviously! Since buying the car I have taken many cars out for test drives to pass the weekend away on someones elses gas! But after all of the cars I've driven not even one has come anywhere near the comfort, performance and style of the ZX, so this car will be one car I will certianly have trouble to part with. Its definatly a car that was styled way ahead of it's time, still a head turner. The handling can't be faulted, cpompared to much newer cars. Everything: timeless body Design interio rexterior acceleration engine and the SPEED is just flat out mean. Lot's of fun to drive period
Weakness:
Snow and Ice, but like most cars in bad weather you have to be stupid to disrespect the elements The zx is one best car's on the road, forget all of these new sports car nothing compares. I wanted one since I was 18 now finally I have one and it's absolutely the best. Everything from the acceleration, the interior the engine is top of the line. The body design is a classic you don't see to many cars that are this old and heads still turn like it just came of the assembly line. I often find myself just getting on the expressway to drive the zx because it's so much fun to drive. I have 141,000 miles on my car and let me say I'll put it up against any of these new cars out here on the street today, and it's stocked. Let me say this if you are old enough to remember Speedracer well this car is definately the Mach 5. The parts are expensive but what car do you know where the parts are cheap. Alot of people say bad weather is a downfall for this car but I disagree when you own a machine like this there are no disapointments regardless of the weather, well except when it snow's. If the good Lord blesses me I'll have this car for along time. There's no substitute, this is the ultimate driving machine not BMW Mustang's Supra's or Mitsu' 3000 gt Similar Products Used: Infiniti Q45,Mustang 5.0 Subaru wrx acura Legend |
