Model Reviewed: 3000GT VR-4

Strength:

This car has .9 G's of acceleration. Beautiful curves, great handling, great ergonomics (12hr road trip tested), stock Infinity sound system, great upgrade potential. For an avg. of 55k less than a viper, what more could you ask for!?

Weakness:

Two usless back seats for most avg. size people (unless they are some small hotties you met at the beach =) shift boot starts peeling after about 6 years.

Ok. for one, I have read all the reviews and found most people to be about as bright as a raisin in dog $hit!!! I have actually taken my STOCK VR-4 to the track. 1/4 Mi. = 13.45 sec @ 102Mph. Drag slip proven BIOTCH!!! As for top speed, the factory govenor is rated for 155Mph. I have done 157Mph in 5th running from the cops (the car will not do over 160 without some upgrades). It will not go any faster than 140Mph in 6th gear. 3rd gear maxes out at 102Mph (ended 1/4Mi at top of 3rd gear 7000RPM). Yes this will beat a stock Supra TT, 300ZX TT, and RX-7 Turbo. An LS1 engine with just ram air will not beat this car. Especially in a 4200lb Trans AM! My friend has a WS6 Trans AM and i can beat him on the street but trail a little on the highway(ram air). Neither a camaro or vette. The LS6 engine however, (as found in Camaro SS, Corvette Z06) will spank this car!!! This car will not lose to an Subaru WRX or the new 2003 WRX STI. My buddy has an STI and is a good driver. He ran a 13.56 @ 100Mph at the drag strip.

Strength:

Great gas milage and has great power. Twin power of a ZP105 shrift. Great car.

Weakness:

TRANSMISSION and STOCK CLUTCH

This car is great! Has great horse power and the twin turbo can max out speed. Got mine up to 148. Going back out to the track to see if I can get it higher. Has an extremely nice look and touch to it.

Weakness:

fog light out and not leather seats the person that owned the car before me burnted out the clutch

i love this car it's fast and the interior is perfect power everything, i havent topped it out yet and i have had it at 140 in 4 so i cant wait to put a twin turbo in it and a 6 speed in it. Its beat a 2000 celica with racing mods in it and my 3000 is still factory and i have beat a 1990 300ZX

Strength:

Gas mileage 22-27 mpg, great looks Viper style. Interior comfortable for even a 6 ft plus driver.

Weakness:

TRANSMISSION AND STOCK CLUTCH

Great gas mileage 25-27 Freeway, super cold ac, I had 5spd rebuilt and new clutch installed with new clutch slave cylinder, Handles like it's on rails, very strong engine, I added Bosch 4-way platinums with accell wires and K&N intake and filter and 2 tornado's in the intake. 196K miles on car not sure if original engine. Go's very fast. Dropped the restrictive resonator's off the single exhaust and added a flow through stainless steel muffler. Toyo PZ4 tires. work to on suspension but not sure what I want to do?? Maybe Ebach springs with KY struts and larger sway bar in back and strut bar in front.

Model Reviewed: Dodge Stealth R/T

Strength:

- Beautiful - Fairly rare - Solid Reliability (compared to other Mitsubishi producs) - Good handling - Good acceleration

Weakness:

- Not quite as reliable as say an MR2 - FWD: Wheel hop/torque steer - $1000 every 60,000/120,000 for maintenance - Heavy

An excellent Grand Touring (GT) car. I have a '94 Stealth R/T and have owned it from 35,000 miles up till now at 93,000. Reliability (always important to consider) has been better than expected. The clutch went out around 50,000 miles, but that's about it in terms of the car's fault. Here's a tip though - get work done at a Mitsubishi dealer. Its easy to strip wheel studs, my SRS (airbag) light is permanently on after I got my alarm installed and people at Firestone are idiots. I'm glad I didn't get the Turbo (personally, I'd rather not spend $8,000 on a new AWD transmission) and the 222 hp is enough to get the car moving pretty quickly. Insurance has been pretty cheap ($200 or so every 6 months for a 25 year old male) which has been nice too. Overall, Stealths and 3000GTs sell at a TREMENDOUS discount compared with the "more reliable" Supras, MR2s, Rx7s, etc.

Strength:

It's beautiful, fast and it gets up. Its get got pretty good low end and a great high end. It has amazing handleing trust me i tested it. I think the interior is way better than a supra's.

Weakness:

The only real weakness is the weight, but I can change that a little.

I only have had the car for a little over a month, but i can say it's amazing!!! Fast and good looking you can't go wrong. I'm all about import street racing and I get more respect on tne street than I've ever had. I can't wait to start mods on it. I think a turbo or twin turbo conversion is next!!!
