Strength:
Extremely fast, handles corners very well, although most people say otherwise. Loud exhaust and engine you can hear it from five miles away. Reminds me of the great muscle cars of the 60s and 70s. I recently went to the track and got a 1/4 mile time of 11.92 seconds at 117.8! Thats faster than any car that costs under 100k. This is a car for real men and if they can't take the rumble of the exhaust or the heat the engine makes, they should buy an overpriced underpowered Porsche or Ferrari and end up behind this Dodge demon.
Weakness:
None, if you really know how to drive then you shouldn't have any problems with cornering. I don't like ABS so the brakes are fine to me, plus you can easily slow it down just using the clutch. I bought this car used from the the owner for 63,000, a good deal for a '99 since he also put new wheels and tires, a performance intake manifold, ported cylinder heads and feul injectors. Similar Products Used: '76 Maverick, '69 Cobra Jet Torino, '66 427 Shelby Cobra, the Maverick and Torino both have over 500 horses and are quicker at the 1/4 mile than the Viper, but they don't compare to the Vipers on the corners. The Cobra is what inspired the Viper and handles a little better than the Viper but it also cost me three times more than the Viper. |

TNT Motorsports King Snake GTS
Strength:
This car is the shi*t. 8.5 liters of raw power! It's very, very, very fast. I also like the appeal it has since you don't see very many around (let alone the King Snake!). Awe-inspiring exhaust note and the engine emits a rumble that lets you know POWER's on its way! Oh, did I mention that it's fast?
Weakness:
Like it or not, the heater's always on! The engine gets so hot that you can definitely feel heat seeping into the cabin after a few hours or so of driving. I remedy this problem by either blasting the A/C or riding around with my windows down all the time. Even though the brakes were upgraded, they still feel abit mushy. Driving this car also requires a little bit of a learning curve if you weren't used to almost 800 horsepower (which I wasn't). If you're looking for a quick way to lose weight, take a ride in my car for a couple of hours - you'll sweat that fat right off! Small complaints aside, however, this car kicks major a$$ including those expensive exotics! Like that other guy said in a previous post, spend the money you've been saving wisely; spend it before you get married!!! Strength:
It has an awesome design, it has plenty of power, and is the highest performence-driven American-made sports car.
Weakness:
Takes muscle and practice to drive well, but other than that it is a wonderful car. One of my friends purchased the Viper GTS, and he allowed me to drive it around a couple of times. I totally recommend this car if you are a hard-core sports car fan. Similar Products Used: Corvette |

Lovely looks. A special connection with drive on more of a straight line I-95 type ride or on country road type experience.
Weakness:
The concept of the idea was good. But the end product was not. The car is pure sports no doubt about it but it could not handle all of the "power". Perhaps if the re-thought the layout it might relax a little on the strain. I recently got the chance to drive a 1998 RT/10. I was incredibly disappointed. I sat in the drivers seat at a closed track and floored the gas. As my eyes fixed on the speedometer and RPM meter, I noticed that the awesome respect for this vehicle was deminishing greatly. I watched the red needle on the RPM meter rise and fall and rise and fall a couple of times before I was able to shift into second. That is a definate sign that the car was not "built"/"Designed" to handle such demand. My heart was broken. After I finaly reached sixty I was slightly releaved. Moments later I was coming up on a wide turn shapped like a hairpin. I eased my foot on the brake and turned like I was taught and the suddenly just as I was coming out of the turn the handling started shaking and I lost controll and spun around. I hit a patch of dirt and grass and bumped a wall. After getting out and inspecting the damage (None thank God) I continued down a set of smoothe turns running about a solid 70 throughout. Then up in my sights I saw a left angle turn coming up. Remembering the pain of my first experience I slowed earlier and turned carefully into it. This time I became a victim of oversteer. I was not having a good time. I felt sorry for the car. Most people hold it up on such a high level. I even had the divine dreams of driving one. But now my lovely dreams have turned out to be an absolute nightmare. When I managed to finish the lap I got out and stood looking at the vehicle. Oddly the posture of the headlamps made its facial expression look as if it was whimpering. What a head turner. Such art on wheels. Style and emotion with slow sweeping curved. Very Feminine. I still loved it because it was special. The looks lived up to the name. But the engine however, did not. The person who should buy this vehicle is someone who respects it as a work of art. It does not really belong on the race track but more on the city streets on a Saturday night after dinner near the beach. Still I think it is something that if you have the money you should buy if you are willing to take it down from such a high godly position. Similar Products Used: None |

This is the coolest car I've ever driven! I have had two Corvettes a 96' and a 99' both convertibles. Even had a 2001 on order! Unfortantly, once you see this car and drive it there is no turning back. Is it a luxury car? What do you think? It is pure raw power that can't be matched. You don't buy this car for comfort (though it now has power windows, door locks, hard and soft top, dual airbags and A/C) or to carry groceries. You buy it for the looks and the 450 HP. Period. Don't let people kid you. If you can afford this car you will want and love it for what it is! The people who pick apart this cars are not the people who can own one. I'm 29 years old and say if you have the money and are single...do yourself a favor and be excessive! ohh...and have enough left over, so that you can buy something to carry the groceries.
Weakness:
Alpine Stereo. Soft Top (the fact that you have to remove the top to turn the car into a convertible. It doesn't just fold away like the vettes. Paid $79,000 for a 2000 Red RT-10 w/ every option including racing wing! Buy it before you get married and have to spend money wisely! Otherwise, she'll want to drive it! The Main things I like about the viper is the Looks, the Acceleration, the Speed, and the way it makes people turn there heads to look at it.
Weakness:
There is absolutely nothing I can think of that is bad about this car. Can you think of any? I know I sure can't. I paid about $75,000 brand new for my Viper GTS, and it was all worth it. I drive down the road, and EVERYONE looks at my car. I love that sensation. I also had a Corvette, and it didnt nearly turn heads like this car does. It is the best in my opinion. I would defenately recommend this car for the people that are in for great speed, great looks, and great acceleration, and are also ready to pay the price. Similar Products Used: The Viper doesnt compare to any car on the road. This is the King. |

OK i have to admit, this isn't my car but i did a favor for a friend whos dad owned one. Anyway, it was the best afternoon of my life. The car is so powerful i thought it was going to brake my spine when tramped it to the floor, i drive a cavalier so im not used to the huge real drive power, i went through my first intersection with it sideways leaving a huge trail of blue smoke. This car is just plain mean, but beautiful at the same time. Kinda like Cindy Crawford with an ak-47. I even saw one guy almost drove off the road he spent so much time staring at it as i drove by. My friends almost soiled themselves when i rolled up to school in it. I had a race with a friend who had and 87 camaro that nothing could beat. Well by by mr. hopped up camaro. I gave him a head start and i still killed him.
Weakness:
The engine actually gives off a lot of heat, makes the inside of the car very, very hot after a couple of hours of driving. Not the most fuel efficeint car. Clutch/brake pedal/gas pedal to close together. Kinda small for someone 6'4. I didn't pay anything for it, other then the 55 bucks to fill up the beast at the end of the day. It had an orginal price tag of 94,000 i think (Canadian) I would recomend it to anyone, who has 100 grand kickin around for a car. And who wants something that will murder almost any other car out there on the street ( with a few exceptions of some erupoean super cars ) and can go and compete at the local stock car race after you drive it off the lot. And probably win. If your scared of a huge 450 hp american beast that can get you damn close to 2 hundred miles an hour, buy a Mustang. topend speed when racing on tight tracks is not fast enough. great car but is hard to drive everday. well worth buying for weekend crusing and drag racing, but is not good on tight curvey tracks. might want to consider buying used to save $$$$$ Similar Products Used: None |
