Loads of power, amazing passing gear speed, great brakes

Feels heavy, more body roll than expected, no engine noise to admire, more road noise than expected, electrical problems, bad dealer support Car started off great. Strength:
Twin-turbo all wheel drive, quattro, stability control (ESP), handling, braking, interior alcantara will not lose grip during high speed turning, stealth car, xenons look awesome at night, the four year warranty covers everything but cosmetic damage and tires.
Weakness:
The throws are really long, the shifter feels notchy, the brake pads leave a huge dust trail on the rims. You can easily speed in the car so you have to be careful. A radar detector is mandatory for this car. I started shopping for a sports sedan as I was wrapping up my bachelor's in computer science. The new M3 had too long of a waiting list, the Porsche Boxster was underpowered (the Boxster S was overpriced), and I could not deal with having an automatic transmission in a Mercedes-Benz. Here comes Audi to the rescue! 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and the quarter mile in 14.1 seconds will do thank you very much. Quattro all wheel drive with stability control means hard launches in the rain or dry weather. The tasteful sports package gives a futuristic looking aluminum brush on the interior with synthetic suede (I chose blue) seats that hold your entire body in the seat during high speed corner so you can concentrate on driving. Having taken my car to a track event for NASA, it loses control SLOWLY on the track as long as you are gradual with gas and brakes (even with ESP turned off). This car is very sure footed and will never let you down provided you never ask for the impossible. A definite value for $45K (after tax, title, and license) even though it meant waiting five months. I can't wait to see what the next hot car is going to be from Audi! Similar Products Used: The BMW M3 feels more raw as it's a rear wheel drive car. The acceleration and handling are about the same though the BMW does not have as much body lean during high speed cornering. |

Engine (torque pulls all the way up to 5th!), alcantara leather, looks, quattro, warranty, engine hummmmm, dash coloring -
Weakness:
no radio/cruise controls on the wheel. No steel skidpad for trunk, paint & windshield chips to easily, no electronic trunk opener, tight rear seats, small trunk . .. This car is unbelievable! nice performance
Weakness:
crappy gas mileage; to increase the mileage keep the speed under 80 and let the cruise control system drive the car; burns oil on long road trips. Very classy 4 door sedan; very fast and stable in high speeds (drove it 140mph the other day...same day got a ticket doing 90 on a 75). Need a chip soon though, need more. Gobs of power and more available with a simple chip. The interior is top notch and I feel totally spoiled. This is ultimate in luxury, sport, and value, not in that order
Weakness:
more body roll that I would like. More room under the fenders for bigger (wider) wheels and tires. Rear leg room could be better. When I picked up this car I was afraid of buyer remorse and that my expectations were far higher than reality. I was pleasantly mistaken, this car is more than I expected and a great value. There isn't anything out there with this much power, luxury, quality, and safety for this price. Similar Products Used: None |

Acceleration, smooth ride, comfort, luxury, and its a sleeper.
Weakness:
1st gear is too short, Sucks gas if you have a heavy foot, Chiping voids warrenty My over all impression it great, only two minor problems. One it is hard to tint the S4, because of the black dots on the outside of the window. The other problem was the headlight washer pump broke (covered under warrenty). The car is fast, has four doors, and is all wheel drive (I'm in CO Duh). What elese can I say... Similar Products Used: BMW M3: the M3 can't hold a candle stick to the S4 at a mile high. |
