Strength:

german! performance safe performance build quality and reliability, you just know its gonna see you out! dealerships..

Weakness:

they let it go to the states to (some people)who don`t understand quiet/understated or class!

anyone who says the car is slow, hasnt driven one.if it aint fast enough, spend your money on an RS4! only in america can you slate euros for soft handling!i find this statement offensive! i apologise to all the real sports guys over there mind! its not a shouting loud sports car,how old are you? cup holders? its illegal over here to drink/be on phone or eat at the wheel, fine and licence endorsements, safety issue.... don`t get many american `sports cars` here cos our roads have bends in them! you just cant sell em

Strength:

Everything,its an AUDI

Weakness:

Gear ratio (But as above this can be sorted)

WOW!!! This car is the one. For the 2 at the bottom, that is an expected responce from yanks who do not know about cars!! The S4 is superb, believe me, yes I agree with the gearing and ratio, but that can be sorted or you get used to it, but its a small price to pay when your leaving alot of jap, american and other european cars behind!

Very enjoyable car too drive. Superb acceleration, little to complain about. Has given many cars a surprise at it`s pulling power. Puts you back in the seats in 2nd & 3rd. Cheap when equipment level is taken into account also.

Strength:

what is with all the rice car lover madness here, I already beat 2 wrx n 1 s2000, is300 are gone and people drive gs430 dont know how to drive. s4 is everything you can get for that price.

Weakness:

the back is a little vw like but a littel money can change everything, its not as improtant as the proformance.

Didnt like it untill I drove it for a week and start to get use to it. Its like a porsche turbo with some less power but half the price.

Strength:

speed, not much else, dumb looks!

Weakness:

Stick isn't smooth. Brake pads are too smooth, they need something to give traction, DUH

I agree with the review below. I'm not really impressed with the performance, its not good value either.

Strength:

Speed, handling

Weakness:

many, weak interior, bad navigation system (toyota/lexus is the best!) EXPENSIVE

Pretty junky I think, dumb interior. One little badge makes it different than a VW Passat, they look too similar. Handling and speed are good.

Strength:

Twin Turbo''s, The paint job, Handling, Easily modified, The HID-lights have a bluish/purple edge that I still haven''t seen anywhere like that, Audi 3 year warranty covers all tune-ups and everything except rims and tires (I got new brakes+ for free), dashboard is backlit in red w/ white needles, interior is lit up in red also, BOSE radio kills most stock systems, a ton of trunk space with folding 60/40 rear seats makes carrying stuff like ski convenient, no engine, transmission, or turbo trouble in two years (and I definitely toss this car around), price is slightly less than other cars I was looking at, oh, and twin turbos!!!

Weakness:

The Bridgetone Potenza tires my car came with were pieces of *#&!. Too many flats and bubbles. The back seat is kinda small for big people but for the ladies its fine. 5 total is a tight squeeze but how often does that happen? You can always opt for the Escalade. The back bumper is very easily scratched (especially in NYC parking lots), use a heavy foot like me and this car will eat a boatload of gas, (but its worth it anyway), thats it.

Its been about two years with the whip. The engine is still strictly buttas. The car drives as smooth as the day I bought it. Great to cruise in the summer with the roof open and the windows down. In the winter time, quattro can handle the crappy weather with ease. (I got 4 Blizzaks for that). This sleeper is always fun to drive whether it be passin on the highway or hustlin in the city. The tiptronic shifter works well for city and traffic. The steering wheel shifters make driving feel like a PS2 game. I wouldn''t even glance at the regular A4 (pre 2002) but the S4 is something totally different. There is enough room in the seat adjustment to fit tall drivers. You can''t go wrong with german engineering.

Strength:

Design, reliability, comfort, performance, aftercare.

Weakness:

Fuel (needs super unleaded). Expensive to maintain but then good things in life are rarely cheap.

This car is a true wolf in sheeps clothing. No garish fins, a small badge says it all. Acceleration like a fighter on take off. 4 wheel drive that grips under all conditions. It feels like a well fitting suit. Smooth, sophisticated and very sure footed. Drive it sown winding country lanes and it reveals its rally heritage. Cruise on a motorway and it just turns over in a relaxed easy style. Potter around and you''ll be itching to just touch that throttle and let the car come to life. Its a car that can and will but doesn''t need to. It exudes confidence, German engineering, superb design. When you leave it you''ll always lookg back at this dream of a car. The greatest problem? What would you replace it with? It''s practical, efficient and sheer pleasure in one car.

Model Reviewed: Audi S4

Strength:

The low end torque is amazing, with a second and third gear that will pin you to the back of your seat if you put your foot down. I put Pirelli Winter 201 snow tires on at the beginning of winter this year, and the car handles like a snowmobile now. I look for SUV''s to race when it snows, and I always beat them.

Weakness:

No weaknesses that I''ve found, but I wish they had introduced a new model when the new A4 was launched for 2002.

I drove a 1987 Grand National up until I bought the S4, and I can confirm now that the S4 is a much more enjoyable car to drive. It''s handles better, it looks great, and it''s amazingly quick.
