Strength:

I love the uniquness and the carnary yellow color of my corrado.(Lot's of attention).

Weakness:

I don't like that it has a supercharger(too loud).Soon to be replaced with
a Turbo.

Paid $3000.00

I would have to say I would recommend only a VR6 Or a low mileage G60.
You will have less problems if you keep this in mind, also this vehicle is not a car for a family man/women.(no room)

I love the corrado. Few repairs so far (starter, hoses). I like the uniqueness and the fun the car delivers. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Hate putting miles on it.

Strength:

Performance, uniqueness (no cheap or slow versions), VWness, drivers car!

Weakness:

Cost of maintenance and no new ones to buy!

I recommend this for anyone looking for FWD performance. Just don't go cheap and buy one from someone who didn't take care of it. Mine only had 55K on it and adult owned. Plus no modifications were a big plus.

I absolutely love to drive the car. I take the 6 hour curvy backroads instead of 4 hour freeways very happily now.
I've heard horror stories, more so from the G-60 owners about electrical, engine problems, but personally I've spent less than $50 a month in repairs. I don't want to jinx myself but so far very reliable.

Style,Handling,Performance and it's ergonomically correct. The heated leather seats and the Trip computer.

Foglights.

I have owned my Corrado for about 7 years now. I am still in love with the way my car performs. I plan on keeping it forever. People still stop me and ask me what kind of car it is . Thats was what attracted me to the car nobody else had one. I have no regrets at all. I had the alternator replaced under warranty the first year I owned it but apart from that I have had no mechanical problems. I've taken it up to 135mph and it was still pulling. The maintenance and service can be pricey but its well worth it. This 93 SLC is by far the best car I have ever owned. If you can find one in good condition buy it.

Model Reviewed: Corrado VR6-193HP

Strength:

It´s extremely fast and very smooth. You can´t wipe that grin of your face when you are driving.

Weakness:

It´s thirsty, but it is a sportscar - so you can´t expect anything else.

If you take the time to find a well-managed specimen, and pay that few extra dollars then you wont be disappointed.

It was rather unexpensive to buy....I'm glad I bought it!
If you like it...and wanht to buy it do it. It's a great car!

If you like to drive fast...it eats clutch and brake pads like ruber!...tyres dye fast too...not to mention the gas!!!!

But its beutifull, fast, stable, you will drive at 220km/h and won´t feel a thing!....I LOVE IT!

Strength:

Wow! it goes from 0-60 in 6.4 seconds, its a rocket! Excelent handering. A tipical German car. I got it to go to arround 150mph. Its A true Sports Car from a company you dont expect.

Weakness:

The god damn front signal cover keeps on cracking. But thats a non pixable corrado problem, its due to heat, or so I heard. Parts are a bit expensive, but so far I have not had any major problems.

I love this Car. I would never sell it I had it for 7 years now and I think I'll keep it for another ten. If you are buying a used corrado, make sure a mechanic checks it out first to make sure there is no major problem on it. And if you are thinking about buying one BUY it. Its the most fun youl ever drive.

Strength:

Fun to drive

Weakness:

Expensive to maintain/fix.

I'm amazed at some of the other reviews of this car. I bought a '91 Corrado G60 and while I loved driving it, the car broke down at the drop of a hat. I had MAJOR trouble with teh electrical system (a problem which was never fixed). My battery would go dead about every four days. I got to the point of carrying a battery charger and several very long extension cords in the hatch. I cannot tell you the number of times this car left me high and dry someplace. Three years ago I decided to trade it in for a Toyota 4-Runner. I was paying the equivelant of a new car payment every month just to keep this rag running (and not even running well). I've never looked back since. Great SUV!!!

DO NOT BUY A (! CORRADO!!!!! Biggest POS on the planet.

Model Reviewed: Corrado VR6

Strength:

It has an aggressive, timeless look. On occassion, I'm asked if it's new. A refined automobile that has more than ample power--great acceleration. Brings a tear to my eye every time I drive it. For the size of the car, it has a lot of room, especially with the rear seats folded down. The high quality cockpit is definitely driver oriented with everything within perfect reach and all guages at perfect view. Doesn't use cheap plastic. Excellent 7 speaker system. Leather interior is very nicely done. A really solid car of the German variety. This is not a boy racer car.

Weakness:

I have to disagree with the other reviewers. I have had little problem with my Corrado. However, it is true that it is more expensive to repair since there are only about 15,000 Corrado's in the US. The best thing to do is to make sure that the previous owner had regular maintenance performed on the car. Only other weakness of this car--a good one is becoming harder and harder to find.

I highly recommend this car--but only if you are ready to pay the slightly higher cost of maintenance and perform scheduled maintenance. Like other great automobiles, you can't neglect this one. Yes, there is a cult following. I have a friend who sold his '93 VR6 a few years back to purchase a Ford Expedition (he got married). He decided to sell it and purchase his dream car... a 740. Still, he couldn't get the Corrado off his mind. A few months ago, he located a mint condition '93 VR6 and purchased it. Now it serves as his toy car. Needless to say, he is a very happy man back together again with his first love. I believe just about every Corrado owner is having an affair with their car. Lastly, you will not see hundreds of these cars every day and that's what makes it that much more special.

I drove an Acura Integra GS-R. How did it feel? I wasn't sure if the car was driving me or if I was driving the car. In other words, it was void of exciting the senses. The first mile I drove the Corrado, I had a grin from ear to ear that I couldn't get rid of. Also, like all Hondas, the Integra was just too high revving. You have to wind the engine to the very end to achieve maximum torque/hp. With the Corrado--you're at 5200rpm's and BAM! you shift.
