Strength:

everything. the best car on the road

Weakness:

people who own them not maintaining them. i get paid a lot to rebuild a motor. car will go 300000 miles with little more than maintnence.

if you own a car, you know that you have to change your oil. pay very close attention to this if you own a 3.0 1mz-fe toyota powered vehicle. change your oil regularly or you will pay $5000 for an oerhaul. paticularly if it is new and has an aluminum block (98 and up i believe). the aluminum block is an identical casting of the old iron block, just quite a bit lighter. aluminum gets hotter faster and thus oil breaks down faster and eventually turns into hard sludge. sludge sticks piston rings and blocks oil passages as well as eating up valve seals. the result is smoke and sometimes destroyed motors. Strength:

Powerful v4, solid stereo sound, safe feel to it. Smoooooth ride.

Weakness:

a bit pricey, but that''s a dealership for you. I don''t think it should have been termed ''certified'' because of minor scratches, dings and steering wheel....peeling/decay? But it''s reliable. Had some complicated oil changes too, gaskets eroding/leaks. The exterior paint job seems easy to scratch and dent. Maybe it''s me...

A wonderful vehicle for me, bought used in aug 2001. I love the space, the style, the elegant look to the outside. I have a two toned, pre-gallery series v4/sedan. It''s dark green with the grey on the bottom. It was called a certified toyota a the dealership, and I''ve had no major issues with it.

Strength:

Smooth, comfortable ride. Dependability. Extremely easy on gas. All anybody needs in a car.

Weakness:

Brakes had to be replaced early.

Bought my Camry new in Aug ''97. It''s the first car I''ve ever owned that I felt completely happy with. Nice ride, quiet, comfortable, love the colour (antique sage pearl). It hasn''t given me a moments trouble in almost 5 years.

Strength:

V-6 has a great pick up, large trunk space, nice leather seats..Looks nice with the XLE package spolier and sunroof!

Weakness:

at 13K miles ckeck engine light came on needed to be reseted, and alternator went out last month at 29k miles....One other thing, I HAVE PAID SO MUCH ON INSURANCE CAUSE OF MY CAMRY BEING A HIGH RISK IN TEXAS!

It a awesome car! The only thing that I did not like was that a month ago my Camry was in a accident in which it did not hold up that good. Currently I have 30k miles and thinking about trading my Camry for a Impala or Taurus. I have test drove both and was in love with them, it fills that same as my Camry but more comfortable.

Smoothest ride for its class. Four cylinder has plenty of pep. Handles well.

Weakness:

None so far.

Great car for the money. Very comfortable ride reminds me of our Lexus. Drove the Accord,Taurus $ Impala and none can equal this vehicle. Finished very nicely inside and is very tight.

Strength:

Appearance, reputation for reliability, great heated seats, powerful heater, smoothness.

Weakness:

Big price - won''t negotiate. We got the XLE. Thought the fuel mileage was good until I realized the gas tank is huge. Getting 22 mpg(Imp.gallon) in the city. Only getting 22mpg(Imperial gallon)around 22 mpg(Imp.gallon) around the city. The dealer says that should improve around 7000 miles. Got one recall re. w/s washer

Have had this car for only 4 months but We are impressed with the smoothness, quietness, the ride and great steering. We wanted reliability so the choice was between the Camry and the Accord. I think the Camry is more attractive and the ride is softer.

Strength:

Good quality

Weakness:

I have a 4 cylinder with 165,000 miles on it and it''s just a little too weak for me. Let''s just say that one shouldn''t try to merge on the interstate in front of an 18-wheeler doing 80. There''s a little rattle in the car, but I''ll live.

Great car! I haven''t done any major repairs on it yet. The trunk lock broke, but through no fault of the car (let''s not get into that)

Strength:

Certified is good

Weakness:

not a good checks and balances on dealers that claim to have certified vechiles.

I feel I received a good deal on the Camry. If you plan to buy a new one, get it certified. A 6 year / 100K mile warranty is not bad. Be careful because some dealers will certify a car that shouldn''''t be. It needs to be spotless and have a 128 point inspection. I went to a few dealers that had "certified Camrys". They should not have been, the woodgrain was falling off, tires bald, scratches and dings all over. I found a dealer that I trust....they explained it and stick to the ridgid details.
