Strength:

roadhandling. sporty look. strong structure. drivers position.

Weakness:

strange noises in rear end when cold. lack of quality in seats material. No After Mkt accesories

This is my 4th 1993 240 SX. And the only one that turns on the Hicas light when cold. Do someone knows if Hicas can be disconected? I do really enjoy this wonderful car. Would like to try a 1998 also but the line does not look as sporty as l993. Do you agree? Need 240's enthusiasts mails.

Strength:

-gas milage -handling -looks -performance, RWD -rare car in this area

Weakness:

-electrical demons -South London Nissan -premium fuel -need SR20DET Motor

Awsome little car that handles great, I'd highly reccomend it to anyone looking for a small sports coupe. My second car, sold a 1993 5.0 Mustang for it. (Better insurance rates, and gas miliage) Surprisingly quick for a little 4 cylinder, ran a 15.2 in the quater mile with cold air intake. Had some electrical problems, expensive to fix ( electronic speedo quit working $700 CDN), otherwise cheap to maintain. South London Nissan tried to rip me off for $2400 claiming I need a new motor, but upon closer inspection by honest mechanics it only needed distributer dust cap and a timing chain. Not impressed and I do not suggest going there.

Strength:

RWD styling (best looking car EVER in my humble opinion) bullet-proof powerplant. handling

Weakness:

price(as new) ride-height. easily fixed with new coil overs. lack of aftermarket goodies.

My previous 240 was a low-milage '95. It currently resides in a scrap yard as a result of a front end collision. If anyone wonders..the air bags work quite nicely. I'm currently shopping for a 97, or 98 to replace my baby.....It was the finest car I had ever owned!

Looks,looks,looks,LOOKS! oh yeah...kinda quick too.

Weakness:

Well ive only had it for a month so i cant really think of any, except that the veilside i want is all together like $1800. :(

This car just looks sooo phat. It has pretty good speed and it can be made alot faster with a little amount of money. In my opinion, best looking car around if u have a veilside body kit.

Strength:

1st-Handling 2nd-styling 3rd-gas mileage 4th-acceleration

Weakness:

1st-reliability 2nd-high-end horsepower only gutsy at low speeds 3rd-expensive imported parts 4th-faulty breaking system 5th-pre-mature transmission wear

The car constantly needs repairs. My 240 is the exact definition of a lemon. When I first bought it I loved it, great looks, decent power, and amazing handling. Then the repairs rolled on in and I now have spent more in repairs than the car is worth. My advice, be weary when buying this car make sure you get it checked by a professional before you buy it, and also never buy one from some punk kid. This car needs be maintained carefully or you'll drop thousands of dollars in repairs.

Strength:

Handling, low and mid range torque,2nd and 3rd gear acceleration and deceleration, nice driving position, reliability, engineering (Superb drivetrain)

Weakness:

did I mention it had back seats. if you are planning on driving in bad weather (snow, rain) you should also know how to drive through a slide.

Do not race against one of these car in traffic . In the right hands, a 240sx coupe w/ manual trans, K&N aircleaner, and a good set of tires will burn you. It has been geared specificly to slice and dice traffic. Owned mine for over 13 years- bought Dec 1988 New model 89' 350Z due in Sept. Daughter will drive my 240sx in a couple of years when she is old enough.

Strength:

Superb handling on dry roads. Fast and powerful engine with no turbo lug. Pleasant styling.

Weakness:

you have to stick to the speed limits in rain or snow. Get stick if you have an option. The top speed is 120 :(.

It's the best car I have driven so far. I bought it for 3.8k + I got nice Pirelli (tirerack.com) for another 150. The car is a dream on a dry road. The handling is very tight and responsive. The suspension is very stiff but I came to appreciate at speeds of above 100mph. The I4 is surprisingly quick. It has 155HP in stock but it doesn't take much cash to bring it to 180 and more if you are willing to pay for DR260TT or just turbo kit. The interior is pleasing for driver, all the gauges are in the right places. The back seats are for kids. It doesn't bother me too much :). I wish I wold have gotten the 5speed manual.

Strength:

Handling, torque, engine note, handling, reliability, mod-friendly, did I mention it has excellent handling?

Weakness:

Conservative styling, parts quality, paint starting to bubble, flimsy trunk, pass-through behind the back seat is too small.

This is the most fun 4 banger I've ever been in, short of a miata. The handling is awesome; the rear end comes around nicely when you really want it to. Test drove a prelude, GTI VR6, civic si, and integra gsr before I bought this car. The acceleration isn't the best in its class, but it wont lose to a non si civic or sub-GSR integra. More torque than most, but also a lower redline than other similar imports. Engine note is the best of the cars I tested. Wish the factory alloys were a bit more attractive, and the front end styling could be more aggressive. Definitely a car for purists and commuters alike. PS: Anyone who writes a review or makes a statement in here without actually driving/owning the car is just ridiculous.

At this price point, you are far better off buying the Honda Prelude.
