Strength:

Strong engine Picks up mad chicks Looks awesome Fun ride Handles like a dream brakes strong with cross-drilled rotars(a must have) Small backseat means don't have to cart people around Hatchback makes sound system really impressive

Weakness:

Continued Maintenance(Small things) Tranny Blew up (but that was my fault) DOHC engine are hard on gaskets

Damn this car is awesome. The silver color is by far the best, but any eclipse turns your head, i've had it for a year now, and i have finally got the little things fixed on it that i knew were wrong when i bought it, so i can start putting my money into aftermarket stuff. This is a great car for anyone, low HP doesn't mean no pickup, and top end of stock is 131mph!!

Strength:

very quick off the line, and has a good top speed. Good for drag racing friends. And it attracts alot of attention from women. Comfortable ride, good highway car.

Weakness:

The car is missing a tensioner pulley, so the power stearing belt comes off when i hit about 5.5-6 grand. Hard plastic interior sucks, especially in the cold weather of montana.

car runs pretty good, very quick but traction isn't that great. Aftermarket apexi muffler and intake that i added sound great and help the speed a little. the 95-98 body style is by far the best. Put altezza tail lights and they look great. Love the car and plan to put alot of money into it.

Model Reviewed: mitsu eclipse turbo GS

Strength:

It has decent accelleration. But really flys at top speed. The car came with stock 140 h/p. I added a turbo last month and I would say it has closer to 200 h/p. since then ive topped my car at 153 mph.

Weakness:

The car has many mechanical problems as i have mentioned earlier. Every 2000 miles or so I have to tighen the Alternator belt because it becomes loose and then eventually falls off.

Its a good cruise car. But often has mechanical problem.

Strength:

The steering feels good. The car accelerates fast and horsepower can be added easily. The body looks great in all colors.

Weakness:

the back seating is the only thing that sucks.

i got a really good deal because there was some problems with the pistons and i only paid 1000 for a complete new restoration of my engine that my friend did. The car runs really good and i can feel the power. the turbo version is probably better but the GS version is rad for a begginer car.

Strength:

This car looks great and just enough aftermarket accsories to make you comfortable.good ride.Has great top speed. Sport-tronic shifter is great it incorperates the manual and the automatic. can waste any car with in the 3.0 range.

Weakness:

bad turn radius no room not fast even with the 3.0 224HP it can smoke most cars stock but not modified ones or the super american cars like the mustang GT,Firebird tans-am,Camero ss. has already needed thousands of dollars in repair. Also is too low for a stock car I hit one pot hole going about 10mph and now I have 3000 in dollars in damage. black interior never stays clean.Sportronic shifter is a wanna be manual. bad heating system. bad turbo and supercharger options.

This car is great I like it because of its impressive body styling and great horsepower. It has a great top speed but kinda lacks in acceleration. Cops love it also, I am a 18 year old teen so I have been pulled over about six times. It also does not help that its bright red. Looks great though. has no room in the rear for friends but is great for passenger and driver. once the gas tank gets past half way say good bye to your gas. I have modified mine alittle mostly sound modifications. sounds great.I have installed a Injen cold-air-intake which is really loud and gives the engine a nice reving sound. Also a Carbon fiber exhuast pipe, also sounds very nice. I just tinted the windows also they also make the car look allot diffront. all in all i am selling mine this summer to get either a S2000 or a WRX.

Traction on the road is terrific. Love the sportronic feature. Let's me drive manually if I want. Ease of top. Goes up or down in 9 seconds.

Weakness:

Only qualm is the non feature of heated seats. It does not come in any package out here in SO Cal.

Great Car and soooo much fun. Everyone comments on the color and how sporty it looks. I have the pearl red with the black top. You just melt in the front seats. Sound quality of radio spectacular even with the top down. Heater works great for those cold evening drives topless. I absolutely say buy this car if you want a zippy fun sexy car. My friend was in awe of the comfort and how easily it handled. He has owned porches and believes this car is funner to drive!

Strength:

top speed not governed (probably should be at this speed though 146) more bang for the buck (except for ford mustang and pontiac firebird but who would want those cliche cars) looks sleek.

Weakness:

mitsubishi customer service sucks. car rides a bit stiff, and squeaks in the cheap plastic, needs a more trunk but of coarse it is a convertable

nice car. quicker than the other imports off the line. nice on the highway for passing those sunday drivers. turns heads, especially the ladies (unfortunately most are in highschool) very nice car for those wanting a sports coupe.

Quick car once the light turns green. Great gas mileage on my Chicago-San Jose trip.

Weakness:

At 6'4", feeling a little cramped since I am driving it more. Have attempted to trade in to upgrade to a larger car, but am only getting offered $10,000 for a car that only has 25k miles on it!! If anyone out there wants one of these, I recommend buying it used.

Early graduation present I gave myself after college and have loved it since.
