2 doors. Oh i love this car. It has totaled a geo and a toyota like a tank. Looks like a crushed coke can on one side but still runs good w/ 165000 miles. Quick too. Got it for 400 bux after thy tried to total it but why? still runs good i don't see the outside of it. Great handling even better with bigger rims. No mech probs at all. beauti of a car think i'm gonna get another one. Similar Products Used: 93' probe gt. (kinda close) |

Strength:
Kickin' turbocharger, lumbar support, decent on gas (35 MPG on highway), and a trunk that can hold two bikes
Weakness:
Lack of cup holder, factory rims and racing stripes are eyesores Sporty go-go car that can rip it up with the turbocharger engaged. This one has 150,000kms and a newer Ford 2.2L turbo engine from a Probe GT. Either someone scammed me and put in a high mileage powerplant or the previous owner burnt out the engines' turbocharger from overuse and put in a new engine. Strength:
Like all the Options, the 2.5 Engine really has some pep. I like the smooth ride and quite engine. Big trunk
Weakness:
theres not to much room in the back seat. Other than that everything else is great I fell in love the first time a saw the Mazda MX-6, and I still fell the same way today. I have had no problems so far. I like all the options that come with the MX-6, its like buying a lexus, with all the comfort and style, but without the price. The body style still looks good, and isn't out dated so i get a lot of second looks when im out around town. I would recommend a Mazda to anyone! |

No cupholders! The Mazda MX-6, a very reliable sporty coupe. This little machine can zoom-zoom-zoom, the inline 4 2.2 is a very strong durable engine. This car has great turning capabilites, it also has lots of power in every gear. I have had my 6 for about 3 months now, it has 175,000 miles and is still run''s like my brand new Toyota Matrix. This car cant take teenage abuse! All this car needs is a tank of gas and proper maintance every so often and it will go forever. Strength:
The look is classic. Girls dig cars, no doubt they love this thing. It has a huge trunk. good power for a 4 cylinder engine.Back seats folds in for thoes Audio enthusiats.
Weakness:
power windows, rear oil seal, gas milage, too close to the ground at times. Where is the other friggin cup holder? Ok, First off I must say that the body style on this car is rather timeless. It''s a head turner. People think it''s worth more than it actually is just from it''s looks. I have one that is a mix between Hawaii and Columbia blue. It''s the original color even though i brought it right after it had been repainted. I''ve never owned a v6 and kinda wished this was one. However my last car was a 93 Sonata with a 4 cylinder and there is no comparison to the drive. The Sonata was the King of gas milage while the MX-6 treats gas like a liquid hor d''ovear. I brought this car as is and noticed the engine light flashed from time ti time. I was told that I have a faulty rear oil seal. If that is true the transmission has to be dropped just to reach the seal. My driver side power window now hums loudly and will not retract. The car has a lot of space for a coupe, and the trunk is as big as my "big Body" Sonata (R.I.P) It had 100,000 miles on it when I got it, and hopefully I can put a ton more on it with proper care and useage. Recently I think a brought a bad batch of gas and my MX-6 is stalling like crazy. In the meantime I''m taking measures to burn off the gas and will purchase a fuel filter. -Fast Fast Fast 2.0 Liter when mated with a 5 speed transmission. -Smooth ride -Giant trunk -30 MPG when not in a hurry -Awesome looks, totally stands out on the road
Weakness:
Shifter on manual transmission has a little side to side play, but this doesn''t detract from the driving experience at all. Best car I could have imagined for the money! I have the 2.0 Liter with a 5 speed transmission. If I had more money, I probably would have looked for the LS version, but this deal was too good to pass up. I absolutely love the car. I''m still in high school, and everyone stops to ask me about my car (most have never seen an MX-6 before). If you find a good deal on an LS version, jump on it quick. You get the V6 engine and a sweet factory spoiler and fog lights. Similar Products Used: none |

Service....... I first owned a 1990 mazda mx6 and loved the car. So I bought another 1996 mazda mx6 and I have had nothing but trouble with the dealerships in saskatchewan. When I first bought the car I noticed a squeaking noise coming from the back of the car. When I took the car in for warranty the dealership said the couldn''t find the problem but they thought it was the wiring harness for the car. So they fixed the problem by using electrical tape to holding the wiring harness up, needless to say it only took until the first year of warranty was over before that squeakiing came back. At the same time if I drove my car over 120km/hr the passenger door would whistle in the wind. Again they had all the excuses possible. But I insisted after all the door settings and window adjusting that they just change the rubber door gasket. Remember this is all under warranty still. I think the mazda mx6 is a good car and I still enjoy driving my car but I beleive cars are only as good as the service you can get for them and after talking to Bruce Carmichael at mazda canada I have come to the conclusion that mazda is a company that does not concern themselves with servicing the customers they already have. |
