kia Sephia
Strength:
price, mileage, power, space. Its fun to drive too.
Weakness:
Its not exactly the safest car in the world, and make sure your state has some sort of lemon law. I've heard several horror stories. It seems with the Sephia you either get one that works or doesn't, and very little in between. Depreciation is another thing to consider as well I've been driving my kia for a little over 2 years now, and for most of that I was delivering pizza in it. I've only had about 2 major problems with it...Had to replace the front brakes and the alternator. Other than that I love the car. Its spacious, powerful for its size, gets great gas mileage, and weaves through traffic at 80 mph like a mad man. Its easy to work on too. Similar Products Used: none |

Strength:
Sporty look, awesome stereo system, good gas mileage, comfortable ride.
Weakness:
Can't think of any. Love this little car. I've had it a little over a year and all I've done to it is change the oil and fill it with gas. I have put 20,000 miles on it and it drives like a dream. Similar Products Used: Toyota Camry, Chevy Camero, Cutlass Supreme. |

Strength:
1. Something to chuckle at as I drive by in my Pilot EX. 2. Something to set the standard for the bottom of quality and reliability ratings, as Honda and Toyota set the top standards. 3. Employs many uneducated 3rd World people.
Weakness:
It's a Kia, for God's sake. What else needs to be said? For all of you thinking about throwing your hard-earned cash down the drain, please check out the following web site: http://members.tripod.com/aiki_joe/i_hate_kia/ Do NOT buy an unsafe and unreliable vehicle with horrid resale. Read up on these pieces of third world junk, and become educated. By the way, Kia dealers/employees are posting positive reviews on all Kia products, and are sabatoging competitors with bad reviews. Check out the Honda Pilot and Honda CR-V reviews. Also, scan the Kia Sportage reviews. You will see Andy's name on all these, as well as on the Sephia reviews. I am a real person, and not a Honda employee. Andy has been accusing most positive reviewers of being the same Honda employee (see the Honda reviews). He must be a Kia employee. They're desperate, and who can blame them? Kia has filed for bankruptcy. Similar Products Used: An aluminum beverage can. |

Kia Sephia LS-R
Strength:
The car has decent build quality and fit/finish. Nicely equipped as well. Decent gas milage with even my heavy foot. Pretty easy to work on and there are plenty of dealers in my area for support.
Weakness:
My main weakness would be resale value. I'm just lucky that I purchased mine used and let somebody else take the loss. My other gripe is even with a full charge the A/C isn't as cold as previous vehicles. Overall the car is not a bad vehicle. I have racked on 25K very hard miles in one year and have had 2 minor glitches. Blew the valve cover gasket (replaced under warranty) and replaced front brakes. Other than that change the oil and your ready to go. The car has plenty of pep esp since I replaced the air filter with a performance one and a larger exhaust. Installing wider tires and a front strut bar definitely increased the handling capability. Quiet and smooth on the highways and it effortlessly criuses at 75. Plenty of room for 4 adults and the car is easy to work on if you do it yourself. Even with hard driving the car holds up very well. THE PRICE: REMEMBER YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
Weakness:
WHEN YOU ARE LYING ON YOUR DEATH BED THE WARRANTY DOEN'T HELP YOU AT ALL. Buyers Beware!!!At the time I bought my Rio I was very excited about having a brand new car. With a schedule which includes working full time, going to college, and raising a two year old I was comforted by the idea of a dependable car with such a "great" warranty. WHAT A CROCK OF HORSE S---T! As soon as I drove the car off the lot I had nothing but problems with this car! The electrical system all but shut down with less than 100 miles on the car. The blinkers rarely worked, the seat belt in the middle of the back seat broke the first week. The seat belt which held my 2 year olds car seat! When I brought the car in for repairs with my "bumper to bumper warranty" I was told the seat belt was fixed, as well as the electrical problems. Two days later the seat belt broke again, the blinkers were not working and all of the interior lights went. I brought it in again. The repair shop at the dealership told me they could not find any problems in the electrical system, and once again had to fix the seat belt which was explained as a defect. I brought it in once more for electrical. Same situation, they told me no problems. HERE IS THE BEST PART!!!!!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING THIS DEATH TRAP!!! wITH LESS THAN 8,000 MILES ON THE CAR THE EMERGENCY BRAKE SNAPPED WHILE THE CAR WAS RUNNING WITH ME TRYING TO GET INTO THE TRUNK!! i WAS RAN OVER, DRAGGED DOWN A HILL AND ALMOST LOST MY LIFE! I WAS TOLD IN ORDER TO PROVE THIS HAPPENED I WOULD HAVE TO HIRE A MECHANIC TO PROVE THAT THE E BREAK FAILED. A HIGH PRICE TO PAY WITH 20,000.00 WORTH OF MEDICAL BILLS! PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOURSELF OR YOUR CHILDREN AT RISK BY PURCHASING THIS PIECE OF CRAP VEHICLE Similar Products Used: A 1984 CHEVY CAVELIER THREE TONED WITH NO SEAT BELTS AND 190,000 MILES ON IT! IT LASTED ME A HELL OF A LOT LONGER AND I HAD FEWER PROBLEMS WITH IT |

everything PIECE OF CRAP!!! STAY AWAY!! My husband bought this car brand new and it stayed in the shop more than he ever got to drive it. First the drive shaft broke causing it to get stuck in gear. It sat in the driveway for almost a week before they would even send a tow truck to get it. From then on it was always something, the brakes went out, the transmission slipped and getting someone on the phone to tell was like pulling teeth. The service department could care less. Thank God someone ran a red light and totalled it!! My husband was okay but the insurance didnt even want to pay what he owed because they said it wasnt worth it! haha Similar Products Used: honday civic, ford escort |

Everything!! Brakes, Transmission, Exhaust, exceleration, Air conditioner, Tires, and Engine. Those are the major parts.... Within three months of purchasing my vehicle, I had the brakes repaired about 4 times....they have 10,000 mile warrenty on them and they were replaced every 3 weeks almost. The tires had to be replaced twice in a year, it had no excelleration and smoked when it was idle or the ac was turned on. The engine had to be replaced within 3 months and various other issues with the vehicle. I took good care of this car, well the best I could considering I was sold a lemon. I put enough money into the car to pay double car notes a month. Don't waste your time or money. |

dents real easy in some places (hood) keep people away from the hood.. WHAT REALLY MAKES ME MAD IS THEY DONT HAVE A WHOLE LOT OF ENGINE PARTS AND HOOK-UPS LIKE ALL THE HONDAS HAVE.. YOU CANT GO TO A AUTO STORE AND BY CLEAR TAIL LIGHTS OR ALL THAT STREET RACING STUFF FOR THE KIA LIKE YOU CAN WITH THE HONDA'S... THEY SHOULD MAKE ALL THE STUFF FOR KIA'S!! THEY WOULD SELL ALOT MORE CARS IF THEY DID!! THE ONLY REASON PEOPLE DONT BUY THEM IS BECAUSE THEY DONT IMPORT PARTS FOR KIAS!! WHICH IS BULL!! SO I HAVE TO GO OUT AND GET STUFF CUSTOM MADE WHICH COSTS ALOT! IF ANYONE HAS SEEN THE MOVIE FAST AND THE FURIOUS? THATS THE KIND OF PARTS THEY NEED TO IMPORT FOR KIAS!!!! i got this kia..... it's a nice car i wrecked it in miami on the interstate and i was not wearing my seat belt..dumb me.. but anyways i dident get hurt? the car is safe and i love my car i got a whole new front end and the car looks way better then a honda.... kias look real good with new headlight case's (clear) it makes the car look new... and color is a big factor i got mine in a silver finish.. it looks fast and smooth i think any other ordinary color would make it look funny...
