Strength:
IT'S FAST LOOKS TIGHT AS HELL HIGH HP ALOT OF POTENTIAL
Weakness:
NOT ENOUGH TORQUE TO HEAVY I HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AND I LOVE THE HELL OUT OF IT . ITS GOOD STOCK BUT EVEN BETTER W/ ADD ON PARTS. ITS FAST AND ITS ONE OF THE BEST LOOKING CARS OUT THERE. THE ONLY REAL PROBLEMS WITH IT IS THE WEIGHT AND TORQUE. ITS TO HEAVY FOR A CAR ITS SIZE AND THERE'S NOT ENOUGH TORQUE ALTHOUGH W/ A LIGHT WEIGHT FLYWHEEL AND A LEAST A STAGE 1 CLUTCH IT HELPS THE TAKE OFF AND IT GETS UP A LOT FASTER. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT THE LUDE IS A GOOD INVESTMENT FOR ANY RACER BUT THE BAD THING IS THEY DON'T MAKE THE CAR ANYMORE. Similar Products Used: HONDA CIVIC |

Type SH
Strength:
Sleek appearance, high horsepower, awesome handling, superb sound system, and all at an afforable price.
Weakness:
Not enough torque, the discontinuation of the Prelude by Honda, the amount of room for people in the backseat, and the lack of technology in the dashboard. The 5th Generation Honda Prelude is by far one of the best sport coupes ever made. Its appearance is so unique, it turns heads where ever I go. This particular model handles great and its power is unbelievable once in VTEC. The only downside to this car is the torque and the amount of room for people in the backseat. Strength:
I have a black 97, and it looks awesome. The handling is good, but the car is way to heavy for something it's size to really handle well. Very cheap car, and poor man's sports car. Warning: every ricer in the world has this car, dont be one of them! This car is a honda, so it is reliable to a certain point.
Weakness:
Pitifully underpowered engine. Heavy for it's size. Very small interior, dont buy if you are over 6 feet and expect to have anyone in the back seat. 0-60 is the worst in any car i have ever driven. This car looks great, it looks better than some 100,000 + cars. But thats it, that is where the perks end. Sorry, folks. I had my car for 1 year, and I test drove an BMW M3 just for kicks. I was born again, and I realized just how bad the prelude engine is. Similar Products Used: Accord, Integra (psssst!) |

Prelude
Strength:
Smooth handling, great style and aerodynamics,VERY FAST!!!!!!!
Weakness:
Hmmmmm.......more leg room in the backseats. I've always wanted a Prelude ever since the 1993 model came out. Then i happen to chance one thats on the market.Even better...a 1997 Prelude! I can't believe it.Its silver, black leather, all power. As soon as i get in it and move it literally makes you feel like youre flying. For crying out loud...I can't even feel the fact that I'm already cruising at 90mph!!!! Handling is superb!Especially mine already has sports springs and silver 17" rims..TIGHT!!!!Turns those corners like it wasnt even there.Great sound system and even greater silence in the cabin with or without the windows closed!Plus you know what?...every time you're with other cars on the freeway,I know and THEY KNOW that they can't touch this!Plus it looks HELLA GOOD TOO!!!! Prelude 2.0Si
Strength:
Great engine, great handling, awesome view from inside. Legendary Prelude shape. Bulletproof reliability, good gas mileage, interior confort, steering and on and on and on. Honda builds the best cars.
Weakness:
More torque would be nice but considering the gas mileage I can't complain. Paid $10k for this car 5 years ago when it only had 80Km on it. 5 years later with 210Km the car runs EXACTLY the same as it did when I bought it. Mind you I have done all the regular maintainence and taken good care of it. I installed Eibach springs and Tokico shocks on mine and it drives and handles incredibly well although it is a little bumpy in the city, nothing offesive though. In addition to being a very sporty and fairly fast car, this car has been extreamly reliable and user friendly every day I've owned it, 4 seasons, good for long trips and Sunday runs when you just beat the living piss out of it. The motor loves to rev, the steering is incredible. One of the best things about my model year prelude ('91) is the low cowl hight. You have this awesome panoramic view of the road rushing up at you. The hood ends and the dash begins about where your belly button is while sitting in the seat. Cool stuff. The sunroof is also huge. The car has a real open feel to it. In 5 years and 130000km I've had to replace the front pipe, alternator, muffler and done the front brakes twice. Not bad considering I drive it hard often and always take trips in it. This car has been extreamly fun and reliable and I couldn't be more pleased with it. I will never part with it because I know it will always run. Similar Products Used: I also own a 88 Mazda RX-7 Turbo. Less reliable but oh man is it fast. |

Prelude
Strength:
- Engine and transmission - Well-tuned suspension - Comfortable and well equipped - Clean styling will stand the test of time - Lots of potential for modifications, from mild to wild - A bit of exclusivity since Honda stopped making it
Weakness:
- Head room is tight. A seat that could be lowered more would help - No rub strips on sides makes it vulnerable to door dings - A 6th gear would be nice to cut the drone at highway speeds - Stock tires not the greatest Love this car! Mine is the base model with the SH wheels and spoiler. Owned it 5 months now. I tried all the other sport compacts, but once I drove the Prelude I stopped looking. The engine won me over right away, and I also liked the suspension tuning and solid feel. I also like the fact that it's not overly flashy looking or trendy, but car people know what it is capable of. It's comfortable and well equipped and has all the features I want. Haven't made any modifications yet, but plan to get 17" rims and high-performance tires as the factory all-seasons are nothing great. I will put snow tires on the factory rims for winter. Resale prices are high, but I believe you get what you pay for. Properly maintained, this car will last a long time. No problems in the time I've owned it. Similar Products Used: Nissan 240SX |
